These guys are so friendly and make good food! I love the chicken sandwich with spicy fries and ranch on cheat days! They take time to trim the chicken correctly– I’ve never had a piece of gristle or fat in all my visits there. Call ahead for faster service.

Great food and service, spicy fries are on fleek, and the gyros are delicious!!! I also ordered a homemade baklava. It was a very tasty dessert. Will come back.

Good stuff, and you get to roll up to the window to order and pick up your food. It’s basically a fancy food truck. All of the food is fresh and made to order.

These guys are the best! We had delicious gyros, and they gave us a free appetizer hummus platter to try. The portions are big, and the price is great! They let us try some baklava, which was also delicious. I love their fries. Get the spicy fries! These guys are super friendly, and its great to eat at their picnic tables right out front.

I love the owner. That said, I went a few times. It’s fine though pretty dry and dependent on oil for flavor. Certainly had way better, even in quick stops. It’s still cheap and ok if you’re in a rush

The food and service are both great and everyone who works here is incredibly nice. I’m super-glad that this place is near my house. Definitely call ahead for faster pickup.

I’d been craving a good gyro ever since I left Nashville. On a trip back home, I used Unilocal to find a nearby spot. They were open late, it was almost 10 pm. I had high hopes based on reviews. My gyro and rice were warm and bland. Very disappointed. Will go elsewhere next time.

Excellent service and wonderful gyro. I made the stupid mistake of having ranch vs. the cucumber dill. I have to visit again to make it right.

I need one of these in or around the Cincinnati area! After eating the spicy gyro fries I don’t think I’ll survive through PMS cravings without them. They are so ingeniously delicious. I can’t praise them enough. I will be back to Nashville and I will come back for this place!

My husband and I were curious about all of these gyro joints on Gallatin. There are quite a few. Ha. Anyway this place had decent reviews so we decided to give it a go. We called ahead and ordered a falafel sandwich and catfish sandwich, both with spicy fries. We waited 15 mins and left to pick up our food. They were really busy when we pulled up and my husband stood at the window for quite some time. When he finally came to the car, he said they would have to cook the fish from frozen and it would take about 7 minutes. He just decided on a falafel sandwich instead. After driving home and eating the food, we both agreed it was decent. The spicy fries were actually kind of spicy in comparison to other places along Gallatin with spicy fries that should just be called«seasoned fries.» The falafel sammies were good but not the best I’ve ever had. He said the guy at the window was friendly. But after a 25 minute total wait on a call ahead order at a semi-fast food place, we probably won’t be rushing back.

I’ve always been treated like family here and have never had a bad meal. I’ve heard complaints about food taking too long, but it’s all made fresh to order and they do recommend calling ahead to avoid a wait. I recommend King Solomon’s.

Not the best gyro in town… wish they would griddle the meat and pita longer and they need to spend more time on their cucumber sauce… but I love the dudes that work there. This is for sure my neighborhood grub spot and while other places serve up a tastier product, this place just feels like home.

This place is slammin’! Family owned and operated, super friendly service, and great food that is always prepared to order. I’ve been at least a couple dozen times in the past few months and it is my go to spot in the neighborhood for a quick, economical meal. Falafel is always fried fresh as are the fries(the spicy ones are killer). The gyro is equally great. You can customize your wraps by selecting yogurt sauce instead of ranch(the right choice, IMO) or by deciding skip any of the standard fixings(I forgo tomato). Definitely consider adding feta to your wrap. There is limited outside seating, but you can’t beat it for a takeout meal to eat at home(or in your vehicle in their parking lot as I have often done). I’ve been to most of the middle eastern places along this stretch of Gallitan, and these guys are the best, hands down. Final tip: once you know the menu, call in your order to skip a 5 – 10 minute wait(they have to make it fresh, after all).

I really start to question whether or not the food will be even half good when I order a gyros using the correct pronunciation and the guy taking my order«corrects» me with the incorrect pronunciation(uh?! Eew). I got the spicy gyro fries(because according to pretty much everyone reviewing this place they are the most amazing things ever — not impressed. Bland fries that tasted like they had been sitting out for with a light sprinkling of Louisiana Hot Sauce and ranch and topped with gyros meat that wasn’t properly cut. We got a few pieces of falafel that were actually decent and some hummus that tasted like nothing but straight tahini. He got the spicy chicken sandwich — it was essentially some chicken in a pita topped with Louisiana Hot Sauce. Oh! And to top it all off the sweet tea tasted like the leftover milk at the bottom of a bowl of fruit loops — sick.

This place is OK, nothing fantastic, but good enough to have again. I’m not from around here, maybe this is exceptional for Nashville, it’s nothing special to me. I got the gyro fries. Just gyro meat and fries and ranch. Nothing else, no onon, no tomato, no feta. The gyro we ordered had lettuce on it, I’ve no idea why. All in all, this place wasn’t bad. I’d eat here again, but I’d just as soon eat someplace else.

This place is fantastic. When I drove in the guy asked me if I’d ever eaten here before. I told him no. And he said this is the best Middle Eastern food you’ve ever had. He was right

I’ve been coming to King Solomon’s a lot over the past year. The things that keep me coming back often are: PRICES — I usually spend $ 6 – 7. Hard to beat! LOCATION — For me, it’s conveniently located. CUSTOMERSERVICE — These guys get it. They’re super friendly. With drive thru windows on either side and a walk up window in front, you never have to wait long. Even when the lines are long, they’ll send someone outside to take your order while you’re in the drive thru line. Tip: call ahead so you don’t have to wait at all. FOOD — The food is solid. We’re not talking about made from scratch everything, but what they do serve is well-prepared and very flavorful. I like the spicy chicken sandwich(diced grilled chicken in a pita with hot sauce and cucumber sauce), and I really recommend the gyro fries(fries topped with gyro meat, hot sauce, and ranch dressing — make sure you get the spicy fries as the foundation for this masterpiece). CHARM — The building obviously used to be a Little Caesar’s stand alone drive thru. Now, they’ve doctored the logo and replaced the olive wreath with a traditional king’s crown. It’s bootleg, but charming.

After reading Johnny T’s review, I headed over to King Solomon’s, this afternoon for lunch. I got the falafel plate and Zanni(?), the owner, let me switch out all the grains to a large salad. It came with bread and rice. We talked about the food and if any of it was Sysco’s pre-made stuff… He told me everything is made from scratch and that his momma makes the baklava. He also told me he has plans to extend the decking to include more table and chairs for people who want to sit on the property and eat. He said he’s been the owner for 3 yrs and it’s been good to him. He’s a good guy and a savvy businessman. I’ll be taking my gang here for an evening soirée, soon. The menu is extensive with a lot of variety. He had a steady flow of people at lunchtime. I enjoyed my meal, I enjoyed speaking to him and making plans to bring my gang for some grub. Prices are good for the amount of food, offered.

4.5 These guys have gyros down to a science. First off, you can either walk up or drive-thru. There’s no inside seating. If you walk up, you can park it on the small patio and go to town, but I’ve never seen anyone do that. This is a place you come to get your grub and, then, peace out. Sounds simple but get this: if there’s a line, pops(or one of the older sons/nephews) sends the younger ones outside to take orders — thereby(doing what?) KEEPINGITMOVING. You *know* what a fan I am of keeping it moving. It’s part of the business model at King Solomon’s. Adding to the process, everyone’s incredibly nice. The younger guys are well-mannered(or, I’m old; they always call me sir). The older guys are very cool and equipped with good conversation and pops does his thing making sure that the machine keeps running. And we haven’t even gotten to the food. I don’t know how long King Solomon’s has been here but I want to believe that it’s been a little while now. And I want to believe that it’s proof that Nashville’s always been a food city. Yes, now the spotlight’s on the city and people are looking around but, back in the day, unless you lived on the east side, people weren’t clamoring to come to Greenwood to get some food… and now they are… as they should be. If you’re a fan of Greek eats, come here. You’ll escape with your wallet intact and your belly distended and full. While there are plenty of non-gyro options on the menu, why bother? Come here for the good stuff. Get a gyro. Now, you can get it in pita form, a plate(with yellow rice, salad, pita, and plenty of cucumber sauce), FRIES(spicy fries with gyro meat and sauce… do you hear me!!!), or a meat bomb(I have no idea what it was; one of the older guys gave it to me and told me that it’s his personal go-to/invention; I just recall it was a football-sized pita full of meat and sauce and i couldn’t stop eating it). If anyone at DDD had the power of reading comprehension, *this* is the sort of place it would profile but it’s just as well that it doesn’t. KSG is busy enough as it is. I’d hate to wait any longer for my next fix. P. S. The fries(spicy or regular) are serious. Get them topped with *something*(sauce, meat, whatever). P. P. S. The root beer is soda fountain goodness.

The first night I visited Nashville, one of my friends got right into bed around 8:30PM. My other friend and I were hungry, so we wandered a little ways down the road from our place and found King Solomon’s Gyros. The guy who took our order was apparently the owner; he had a cast on his wrist, had just returned to work after a convalescence, and as a result was extremely, weirdly particular about what he would and would not sell us(because he hadn’t been around to make sure everything was perfect, apparently). Instead, he personally made us two gyros each, off-menu barbecue style, with chicken and then lamb, so we could give him our opinion. They were quite tasty and I was apparently starving, because I ate both of them easily and then split a dessert with my friend.
