We checked out Flyte for the first time last night, and were blown away. We shared the deviled eggs and beef and broccoli to start with(I could’ve ordered those over and over and called it a night). The mrs. had the chicken, brussels sprouts, and grits, and I had the pork flyte(pork belly, loan, and sausage), both of which were top notch. Our server, Jason, was super attentive and very knowledgeable about their menu. Would definitely recommend!

I went here for a group party, this was my first experience here. This may not happen on individual party experiences but, I wanted to share this experience with others so this can be avoided. 1. I was told I could not just order the steak, I had to order one thing out of each course. There was nothing in the appetizer section that sounded good to me, I settled on bentons bacon. I hated it, it was more like brined ham and there was white stuff squirted on it that had consistency and look of divinity candy but tasted nothing lije it. Sent the plate back, I did not ask to substitute another app. 2. NO prices listed on menu. 3. Steak was good but nothing to go back for. Potatoes all 5 chopped pieces were soggy from the spinach juice they were sitting in. 4. My shot glass of pudding was topped with a caremel popcorn, yes single instance pop corn. 5. Final blow came when I recieved the bill. Because we were a group, for some reason they could not split checks. So as a group, we paid 14 each for gratuity and there were less than 20 of us. The total for my portion; app I didnt eat, steak, pudding and diet coke, and gratuity= 78 $. The steak and bread are the only reason I give two stars. There are similar prices and quality(some less priced) restaurants in the area such as Urban Grub, Maggianos, Mere Bulles, that are less or equal in price but I find to be worth going back for.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here last night. We went all out to celebrate my new job, and ordered appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The appetizers were amazing. I had Carolina Goat Cheese Rice Pudding. It was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. My husband had beef and broccoli which he enjoyed as much as I did mine. For dinner I had house-made kielbasa that was out of this world. I could not have asked for a more flavorful and different meal. My husband had the pork trio that was also excellent. We argued over whose was better. For dessert we shared an apple tart. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, our meal was fabulous! I would highly recommend for special occasions as it is pricey.

The BEST experience, service, food ever! Literally no joke! Start to finish everything was perfect. Todd our amazing server gave excellent recommendations. From wine to food. This was our second time dining at Flyte and it was just as good, even better than the first time. The service is the best I have ever had. Everyone works as a team. And very friendly! We started with a bottle of wine by the suggestion that Todd gave us, after we described what we liked and he was spot on. We ordered the stuffed peppers with house made sausage. Omg they were so good. Then the wedge salad. Again amazing! And they sent out some deviled eggs, onion dill dip of some sort, and fried Brussels that were spicy! Seriously everything I put in my mouth did not disappoint. Chef Chris knows what he is doing! The filet was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. We were so full couldn’t even fathom dessert but they sent out this chocolatey heaven. I forget what it was called but I finished mine and my boyfriends Thank you so much! Flyte is our new favorite spot in Nashville for sure!

Excellent golden beet/arugula salad nicely paired w/a French White Burgundy. This starter is plenty to share for two and could be a lite meal for one. Grilled Red Grouper w/greens, squash, golden potatoes in a brown butter sauce was slightly over cooked but nicely seasoned and very Fall. Ended my eating frenzy w/Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème… very decadent! And they have a Zagat rated top 100 wine list. Do stop in and enjoy.

Fantastic meal and service! Tomato tart w/o anchovies was delicious especially paired with white wine that server recommended. Scallops were divine! One of the best scallop entrees I’ve had in a long time. I could taste all elements — scallops, jasmine rice w/peanuts, kale and coconut pudding!!! Server was very attentive and made sure I had the right wine! I’m here for a week so I will definitely be back!!!

Amazing dinner. Wedge salad, tomato tart to start the meal. Then we had scallops, filet and salmon. Finished it off with banana pudding and peach cheesecake to finish. Every bite of this meal was fantastic. Amazing wait staff and chefs. Thank you for an incredible Nashville experience! Love the Texans

Good food, but a bit overpriced for what it is. Stuffed«cheese» peppers were very good and the banana pudding was excellent. Service was very solid. However, the wedge salad was lacking the hearty bacon cheese combination I’ve grown to love, and the excessive ranch dressing really cheapened it for me. Cocktails were okay, but a little too sweet and weak on the alcohol pours. Atmosphere was also kind of off and it felt like an aging 2010 restaurant that now can’t decide what it wants to be. In my opinion, there are too many gems in this town to spend 40 bucks on a so-so entrée and 12 bucks on a weak cocktail. That said, I’ll probably still stumble back in there drunk one night looking for some more of that banana pudding because it is delicious.

Stopped in here for a couple of cocktails. I did take a gander at the menu while I was here, and the food selection seemed terrific.

The Chef at this restaurant has the right idea with an interesting perspectives on farm to table food. The service was spot on and I can see this place taking off if only the prices were about 5 – 10 dollars cheaper(however I would have to say their dishes were very decent sized). I just wished Nashville can appreciate food that is not as heavily salted which I feel that some of their dishes were. The bread is the best bread I have in awhile where it has interesting crossiant like crust with a chewy middle texture that I just kept on wanting more of. I had the tomato tart, the soup which is pictured but I throughly enjoyed cause it reminded me of a childhood dish, the yellow corn pudding and the pork shoulder. I was barely able to touch my main pork shoulder dish because I was so full off of the 3 appetizers. I haven’t found a wine that I have liked ever since I tried the 2008 Fantasia wine from Castello do Amorosa, however, the 2012 Foris was perfect and I am glad that I can find a place that has a comfy romantic feel to it in Nashville.

This food is delish!!! Ask the waiter/waitress’s suggestion. I had the corn pudding and the scallops. Even in July heat it was so good. The service is fantastic. Attentive but not annoying. The food is awesome. Great flavors with just the right blend to bring out everything. Pickled cabbage. WITHSMOKEDBACON!!! I’m seriously in fat kid heaven. A fantastic and expansive wine menu. Whooppee!!!

Hubby and I had been here twice previously for dinner and were looking for a place for wine and appetizers… We got there a few minutes before they opened on a Friday night. They welcomed us in and said it would be a few minutes til the bartender was ready, We had a great(and reasonable bottle of wine) and 4 appetizers including their cheese plate… It was almost like sitting at a tapas bar in Spain! We love this place. Update. Went back again for a lite dinner… order from dinner menu at the bar table. Bar was full, but restaurant not so much. Had a wonderful risotto and fish dish(hubby and I shared). The assistant manager came to check on our meals and we chatted with him a bit. He remembered us from a precious conversation we had had at a dinner with our daughter a few years a back. We asked how business was going and he mentioned it had been a tough year with all the new places opening in Nashville. This place was one of the original Farm to Table places and is great. Portions are not huge, but great quality of food. Please support this place, it’s a gem!

Flyte is definitely the exception to most restaurants. We dined here before the Stevie Wonder concert and the meal was Wonderous! The menu was limited but awesome. The service was stellar. There are many restaurants to choose from in Nashville that will give you an expected familiar experience. If you want a fabulous dining experience that’s not-so-familiar, check out Flyte.

Our server Todd was spot on and awesome with all his recommendations. Cocktails, starter, main course, desert and wine were tasty! Really recommend the Leeky Egg Starter, the Scallops main course and olive oil desert. The«Don’t call it Champagne» pairing was perfect. Paris Manhattan was out of this world and the fact that they accept BITCOIN was the topper for me. Thanks Nashville

Large and impressive wine selection, excellent service with beautiful but over salted food. They recently got a new chef and perhaps are working out some kinks in the seasoning department? We got caught in a downpour on our way to Third Man Records and were looking for a nearby restaurant to dine at while we waited out the rain. Flyte was a few blocks away and bonus, they have a happy hour running until 7pm. We grabbed a seat at their large bar and were promptly greeted by Tommy who I assume is both a bartender and bar manager. He was super knowledgable about their 6 paged wine list and made some suggestions to pair with our meal. I started off with their Tempranillo($ 6 on happy hour and delicious) and Jesse ordered a whisky smash. The food happy hour was made up of small bar bites so we both opted for the full dinner menu. Jesse ordered the Chicory Pork Belly and red grouper stew and I went with the Atlantic red grouper entrée. While our dishes were good they were wayyy to salty. I tasted the pork belly and found it dry, salty and a very small portion. The stew was light with a hint of citrus. The grouper was prepared lightly seared on a bed of sea island red peas, red Russian Kale and shaving of preserved lemon. While the grouper was cooked well it was salty however the island red peas and Russian kale were absolutely delicious. Notably most of their proteins are sourced within 90 miles and they also support local by serving Tennessee wines and spirits.

Wow! I love restaurant week because it is the perfect way to try new restaurants. This was our first visit. In the past when I looked at the menu online my only thought was«I’m not sure I would love the food.» I don’t want to pay $ 30 to $ 40 for an entrée unless I know it will taste better than I can cook in my kitchen. Restaurant week menus allow you to see how great the food is for less money than usual. I was wrong with all my previous thoughts about this place. It is fantastic. Let’s start with the staff. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make our experience pleasant. It was pouring rain when we arrived but no worries because the valet had an umbrella ready to escort me inside. The hostess was welcoming. Our waiter Kevin was great. There was another gentleman that brought out our food but I didn’t catch his name. When he brought our food he explained everything on the plate as they have some unique ingredients there. The romantic atmosphere made for a great date night. I ordered the carrot soup to start. It was creamy and topped with bacon. I have to learn to make this or try to get close. My entrée was summer vegetables and it was very filling. There were some type of grits on the bottom of deliciously cooked okra slices, cauliflower, oyster mushrooms, caramelized shallots, and a carrot purée. I finished with cheesecake. Everything was amazing. My compliments to the chef. We will be back. Don’t worry if you aren’t sure what some of the ingredients are. They will explain and answer all your questions. They know food here. It’s best to just pick a protein you like and leave the rest of the ingredients to the chef as everything is paired perfectly. I also really enjoyed the«Back to the Roots» wine flyte. Three old world red wines: Gamay from France, Tempranillo from Spain, and my favorite Sangiovese from Italy.

I will write this review in order of importance: Food: amazing and wonderful! I got the lamb and a brioche for dessert. I wanted to treat myself and Flyte did not disappoint. Wine: the recommendation was great! and also amazing.(I say that a lot here) Background: I wanted to treat myself after my GF broke up with me. I walked in after using Open Table which was quick and easy. I parked across the street at the liquor store to avoid the idiotic and useless valet. Noise: I walked in and the hostess directed me to sit at the bar because she knew I was by myself. She mentioned that the obnoxious party of 30 that were at present, creating much havoc and noise in the bar would be moving to a table in the dining area and I would be treated with golden silence once they were seated. This was not to be. Well not immediately. Wine: I sat down at the bar and started off with the bread and wine as recommended by the bar manager. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was excellent. and I can’t believe they were playing Tosca — Honey on the stereo system. Maybe someone had an iPad hooked up or something. But I hadn’t heard that song in 14 years! Wow. Tomfoolery: The obnoxiously loud and arrogant party of 30FINALLY sat down in the dining area when I was just finishing my meal. Which sucks — I know its out of the restaurant’s control but it really put me off. I did get to enjoy sweet sweet golden silence by myself without narcissistic asshats bellowing on about whatever it was they were talking about during the dessert. Overview: LOVE the food and the atmosphere. I wish I could pick a time to enjoy a nice quiet meal, if I had a girlfriend I would not have been pleased by this display of horseplay, buffoonery and high jinks.

Sweet sweet restaurant week. You are such a danger to the comfort level of my pants, but damnit I never can say no to it… Stopped in for dinner and despite having a completely packed parking lot, the tables were not full so we were able to sit in the dining room. Sweet. We ordered some wine and my BF had the«Sideways» Wine Flyte with a selection of pinots. Delicious. I had a lovely glass of Cabernet Franc. I swear we get the same waiter every time, Todd, and he’s exceptional. He knows the menu and checks up on you. Perfect. For the restaurant week menu, we mixed it up and each ordered something different. Starters were sunchokes and a soup, then we ordered the cauliflower and roasted chicken for entrees. For anyone who doesn’t know, a sunchoke is more like a root less like an artichoke. I was confused by that but am happy to report that I adored my sunchoke appetizer. Hey, you are delicious! The butternut squash soup was pretty good, but mine was much better. The cauliflower dish was out of this world with brussel sprouts, shaved cheese, and breadcrumbs. I’m really digging Nashville chef’s love affair with cauliflower. Who knew it could taste that good? My chicken was tasty, but I definitely tried to steal more bites of the cauliflower. Dessert was a chocolate panna cotta with some graham cracker type crumbles and an ice creamish substance on top… holy moley… it was amazing. Our meal wasn’t exactly cheap due to the wine add ons, but we still got all that food and drinks for about $ 55/per person with tip. You know, not too bad. Flyte didn’t let me down. Per usual.
