Cedarwood Weddings

Lori, Marissa & Co made planning SO easy. (Ladies, you don’t hear that often) Unlike all of my friends who wanted to tear their hair out during their wedding planning, I can honestly say planning was the easiest part thanks to Cedarwood! I never once heard «no» and it seemed like just about everything was included in their TOTALLY WORTH IT packages.
They were incredibly responsive, courteous, & had a genuine interest in making every idea I had come to life. I can’t thank Lori enough for her quick responses & joy she brought to every meeting. When planning your wedding, a quick answer is not to be underestimated; every question feels like the most important question & I would often receive answers within an hour or two! I always felt like the most important bride and even like the only bride they had! I emailed almost every week for close to 8 months & not once was I made to feel like a pest. I had poured over details right down to the ribbon on my bouquet & they still managed to surprise me!
When rain was forecasted at 90% chance for my outdoor wedding, I was have to admit I was freaking out a bit! My ceremony was planned for the outdoor meadow & I chose Cedarwood for their lush grounds but come time, they were more than willing to wait until they possibly could for a even a chance to hold it outside, but when we had to made the call to move it inside — the magic really happened! My indoor ceremony was probably the most amazing set up I have seen & they did it in probably under an hour (truly the most talented team)! I can’t even imagine my ceremony NOT being inside now — it was that breathtaking! Honestly their staff is so talented I don’t think there is ever truly a «back up» plan because whether it’s you A, B, or C plan it’s still more beautiful than you could imagine & it certainly won’t feel anything short of picture perfect! I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough — they are the best across the board & really made our dream day a dream come true!

We fell in love with Cedarwood before we even took a tour. The team at Cedarwood is impeccable. From our design session with Linda and Lori to our wedding director meeting with Marissa, the service and attention to detail is unbelievable. Our wedding turned out to be everything we could have imagined and more. They took our visions and ran with that and it showed! On the day of, the staff was so helpful and kept us exactly where we needed to be when we needed to be there. I never once worried about the next «thing» that needed to happen. Marissa or Lori just grabbed Wesley and I and took us there. If you want a stress free, fun experience– choose Cedarwood! My biggest advice to other brides is to know what you want. I had a Pinterest board that told it all. Cedarwood is the best!

When searching for a location for my wedding back in 2009, I happen to come across Cedarwood in an online search of wedding venues in the Nashville area. I had never heard of the place. They were the first venue I notified because I really liked how beautiful the place was. They happen to have time for me to come by that day to take a look, and I put my deposit down that day, without looking at any other venue! I wanted to get married here so much that I settled for ⁹⁄₁₁ as my wedding date because it was the only date left in the time frame I was looking at!
First off, the reason I fell in love with the place is because it has such a Southern charm. The historic home is a lovely Antebellum style home, with a beautiful barn out back, and a nice outdoor terrace for the reception. It reminded me a lot of growing up in the country in Georgia. There is a beautiful garden area for the wedding, and the interior of the home is used for the buffet line, cake cutting, etc. Cedarwood is conveniently located about 10 miles from downtown Nashville, but yet in a more rural setting.
Besides being an absolutely gorgeous setting for a wedding, the pricing is all-​inclusive, which made planning an absolute breeze. At the time, my job and extracurricular activities were keeping me all too busy to worry about making decisions regarding every single aspect of the wedding (caterer, cake, florist, etc). I put my trust in the Cedarwood staff, and everything turned out wonderful! We basically sat down one day and I told them my style and what I liked, and that was that! They have a few select caterers, bakers, musicians, etc, that they work with, and they all are of high quality. One of the sisters is a highly regarded florist herself, and they do the flowers exclusively for their weddings now. I was able to taste cake and attend a caterer event at Cedarwood on a different date to help decide my menu. Basically, all I needed to do for myself was bring my preacher from home and hire a photographer and videographer. I even got a good recommendation for a photographer that does a lot of weddings at Cedarwood and got a discount!
Lastly, their wedding coordinator is there for the weddings to make sure all runs smoothly. And that it did.
I couldn’t have picked a better place to get married. Our pictures are just stunning because of the beauty of this place, and everyone had a blast! For some reason, the venue lost power during a quick storm that came through (fortunately AFTER the outdoor wedding), and we lost our DJ for the night! Luckily the important dances were completed and everyone who was on the uncovered dance floor had to make a mad dash back under the terrace and help the DJ get his equipment out of the rain! We’re pretty laid back, so we didn’t let it ruin our big night! The candlelight chandeliers kept the terrace and interior of the house lit up enough to carry on, mingle, and make great memories! Nearly 5 years later, people talk about how much they loved the venue, and people rave about the place when they see our wedding album!
At the time I got married, the prices were very reasonable. I think I got married during the first year or so into their wedding ventures here. Even though I’ve heard their prices have gone up, their options to customize weddings are even greater. I tell every friend I know getting married about Cedarwood!
