Really enjoyed this distillery. They had many different samples to try and different things to pair them up with. The staff is knowledgeable on the history and the products. If your in Nashville swing on by and try some samples it’s free after all

Not sure if there just weren’t anymore tours when we arrived on a Saturday late morning, or if we had to sign up beforehand somewhere, but. Didn’t get to tour the actual distillery, but the ladies at the shop and tasting were so kind! Very good hospitality and accommodating to our sample requests, nice and detailed explanations that makes a non-​whiskey drinker like me understand. They weren’t pushy with sales at all though we went in knowing we’d make purchases. I traveled from abroad, though, and don’t have many friends who drink, so I’m glad they have sample/​single shot sizes.

Went to Fontanel for lunch and saw this next door, had to stop in. It is a small quaint tasting room with plenty of bottles to sell along with some unique tasting pickles and various homemade sweets. It has a upstairs tasting area for larger groups also. The tasting consist of 4 half oz pours and they all pack a punch. The tastiest was the double chocolate bourbon and it was one you could savor for a while, the price per bottle was a bit high — nearly $ 100 — far more than I want to pay. The Tennessee Malt whiskey was also a highlight among the tastings but other ones were not great. The Key lime one, which is a substitute for tequila as they put it was difficult to sallow — it was nothing like tequila and very sweet. Overall the staff was great and very friendly and the place is worth a repeat visit.

This is a great distillery! Part of Fontanel mansion but separate as well. The distiller, Luis, was both funny and informative. We have taken a lot of tours and almost skipped this one but are really glad we didn’t. He answered everybody’s questions while making the experience itself fun! Went next door for a tasting afterward. The gal there let us taste lots of different rums, whiskey sand liqueurs. Be sure to try Sweet Lucy and Sweet Lucy Cream!

This is a great little small batch distillery that is quite «cozy» and offers a very wide and interesting selection of spirits/​liqeuors. The staff is very nice and gives you individualized attention while answering any questions you could come up with. In addition, they do small tours of the distillery which is pretty neat and informative. Their bottles are a little more expensive than standard, but definitely worth it because they taste so good and are so smooth.

Friendly, Unpretentious distillery. Prichard’s is a small distillery on the grounds of the Fontanel Mansion grounds. I was given a private tour and generous tasting with zero pressure to buy anything. Large selection of very good whisky, bourbon, rum and liqueurs. On the grounds of the Fontanel Mansion with restaurants, wine tastings, zip lining and concerts.

My wife and I went on a tour of distilleries all through Kentucky and Tennessee. Our advice: Do yourself a favor and get off the Bourbon Trail!
Yes, some of the places on the official Bourbon Trial are nice. But a lot of them are just too darned busy to be interesting. You pay a lot to go on a crowded tour where, in the end, you don’t really see or learn too much. This, on the other hand, is quality, individualized attention. We learned a lot, tasted a lot of good whiskey, and had fun!
