Good, solid Tex-Mex fare. We had the carnitas tacos, quesadilla & nachos. All were really good, nice flavor. The tacos were a bit messy though, so if you’re an OCD freak with your hands like I am, you may want to go another direction. Even though they were busy, they kept people moving and were very quick to turn tables. If you’re in the HOF area & need a place to grab a bite, definitely worth the try. Oh, and free ice water, WINNING!

Stopped for margaritas after a hot afternoon at CMA Fest. Maybe it was the bartender, but the frozen margaritas were nasty! Wouldn’t go here for the drinks.

Great food. Rocked on all areas. Try the tacos loaded with flavor well worth $ 5. Queso and chips on point.

Came downtown for Mumford and Sons. Plan was to go to Bakersfield taco then to Bridgestone Arena. Well. Bakersfield was packed. No hope to get in. We ended up at this place. Got chairs on the patio overlooking the arena. Great seats. To the food. We got carnitas taco and chicken taco. Came with the essentials. Cilantro onion and salsa. Great flavor! We also got Chilaquiles. They were delicious. Crispy and full of flavor. Will for sure come back. Margarita was good and pricing is great. Good job. Keep it up. UPDATE: After having a great time there. Trying and enjoying the food, we decided we wanted more food and drinks. Lines were big now. Two of them. We got in line. Waited for 30 min. When my turn came the guy taking orders said: ONLYDRINKORDERSONTHISREGISTER Most people in front of me ordered food and drinks. He didn’t care for what I had to say. I went and waited an additional 16 min to place my order. Pretty rude. Me and about 4 people behind me went true the same bad experience. Too bad. I liked this place but with such rudeness most likely will not either come back or recommend it. We are going to predators game Thursday. Will have to go somewhere else. I agree that there should be a drink only register. But I don’t think is fair to do what this guy did. Pretty rude.

Food was really good. I had the burrito for lunch and the ingredients were fresh and tasted great. A little pricey at $ 11 for a somewhat small burrito with no sides but as far as taste, the burrito was excellent. My only complaint were the chairs inside the dining area. Very small and very uncomfortable seats

Even though it’s a fast food(order at the counter) style restaurant, the food quality is really good. I ordered the burrito and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. It’s a little spicy and a little saucy, but great flavor. If you want a quick bite in the afternoon or a late night snack, you should definitely swing by!

WHAT!!! If you haven’t eat here, you best get there ASAP! Bajo Sexto is located inside the Omni hotel and across from the Music City Conference Center in Nashville, TN. This immediately makes its a popular place during peak dining hours. My first time here was for a late afternoon snack before the day before the convention started. I split the chips and queso along with a side of guacamole with a coworker. The chips were nice and salty, the guac certainly rocked, and the cheese was pretty tasty too! I had the opportunity to try another co-workers salad and I found it to be light and refreshing. Unfortunately the rice that comes with it is super disappointing. If you like«minute rice», then this is for you. If you are used to the«cilantro lime rice» from Chipotle, then you will be sorely disappointed. Also, the«beans» looked unappetizing to put it lightly(they did taste better than they looked). Seating during this trip was ample. You could be inside or out. Before we left we tried the Mexican Bush-whacker… interesting drink, I must say. I returned with a group of co-workers during our lunch break the next day. The line was sooooo long, that it went into the interior of the Omni Hotel building. We had to leave since we had limited time for lunch. The next day I ordered over the phone for pick up. I headed right to the bar and my food was ready. The bartender was thrilled it was a to go order as this place was a zoo! Zero mistakes! Shout out to the Skirt Steak tacos and the Carnitas tacos! YUMYUM!!. The salad to go was not nearly as tasty or appetizing looking as it was on my co-workers plate the day before. Also, the chicken on the salad has a little zing! I opted not to get the beans or rice. The side of Guac to go was just as great as the day before and certainly just as plentiful! Mmmm I did vent to the bartender that I wished they were open later than 4pm. She mentioned that on Friday and Saturdays they are open till 9. But honestly, I would have loved to sit down and have a meal immediately after the hustle and bustle of the day, like 6 or 7pm during the week. My feet are tired and I don’t want to walk to Broadway etc. Also, I had been jonesing for a Margarita… guess it would have to wait. My last night at the Omni I had dinner with co-workers elsewhere. By the time we got back to the hotel I noted the time and walked over about 8:55 to order my long awaited Margarita. Unfortunately it was not as great as I expected… total bummer on that. I really thought it would be as superior as the food was. I ended up giving it away to a co-worker after 3 sips. It was too«sour» and acidic for this gal. Overall… eat here, STAT! The food was great and the staff was nice and courteous even though they were extremely busy.

This taco place is in the County Music Museum lobby. There also is an entrance to the street. By the time we finished our tour, I was famished! I’m so glad this restaurant was there. They were having margarita Mondays, so my hubby opted for a $ 5 drink. He thought it was on the sweet side, but okay. All together, we ordered two fish tacos, a carnitas taco, and a chicken quesadilla. I love rice and beans, so we also shared a side of each. You order at the counter, are given a number to place on your table, and the food is brought to you when ready. There was a good flow of traffic, but it seemed than no one ever had a problem finding a table. It was nice that there was self-serve water in the seating area. They tout that their tortillas are organic and hand-pressed. They were delicious! The fish was fried, which I usually do not prefer, but the fish had a nice crispy coating and was topped with a delicious slaw. I’m not a fan of mayo, but there were just the right amount of chipotle mayo on the taco. Yum! My hubby also enjoyed his carnitas taco, though it was harder to eat since it was a bit greasier. The quesadilla had just the right amount of crispiness to the tortilla, with just the right amount of nicely melted chihuahua cheese and chicken. Even the beans were delish! They looked like black beans, and were smooth and flavorful. The rice had a nice cilantro flavor too. Would definitely go back!

The proximity of this Bajo to the Music City conference center is a blessing and a curse. A blessing for me as a wonderful break from the standard cardboard-esk conference fare, but a curse because everyone else at the convention thought so too. I hit it up around noon on a Monday. It was obviously completely crowded as the conference attendees descended upon the tucked away restaurant. That being said, I opted for take away and the wait after ordering was only 10 minutes. Seating is not ample and trying to enter was confusing– although you can see it from 5th Ave the porch was closed(it’s been rainy all week) so the route inside was unclear. I just walked through the gift shop for the music hall of fame. Alright anyway– the tacos were excellent. I opted for a short rib, the daily special, and a chicken taco plus rice and beans. It was a little pricy at $ 15 but really, just such an upgrade from boxed lunch. It was a delicious and filling meal, I recommended it to some of my fellow conference-goers who also loved it. I wouldn’t hit it up again during conferences because the line to order took about 20 minutes, but I would definitely come back another time!

Where you do you go when you are tired of the sterile hotel(hospital-like) conference food? Bajo Sexto! We took a break from the conference to see if daylight was still a thing and during a walk around the block, we noticed this quiet unassuming place. It appeared that other suits had sought refuge here and now I know why. When you walk in, you are at the counter/kitchen and will be immediately greeted by a staff member to guide you through the prices and options. She handed us a menu and explained all of our options. She was patient and pleasant. I am not sure if there was a dinner menu, but the lunch menu was a simple one page menu. It helps cut down on the decision making process. We were going to order salsa/chips and guacamole/chips, however she pointed out that we could order a salsa/guacamole sampler with chips. She said it would be cheaper and had everything we wanted. She was mostly correct. We didn’t have enough chips for the salsa, salsa verde and guacamole. It was still very good, but disappointed with the quantity of chips. Both salsas had nice heat. The guacamole was flavorful and chunky. The soft tacos were super fresh and made to order! Even the tortilla shells. I had the fish taco and the pork carnitas taco and LOVED them both equally. The flavor was fresh, bright, simply amazing. We waited for about 2 minutes for the starter and about 15 minutes for the tacos. We dined on the patio which was pleasant. It was breezy and seasonably chilly, but there were heat lamps built into the patio ceiling. Genius. There was a point where we could smell a little burning, we think a bug may have flown into it. Ooops. All in all this was a good experience for, ambience, food and service. If I am ever back in Nashville, I would certainly come back, especially for the tacos.

This place was beyond our expectations! Stopped in with my family for a quick snack on a whim after doing the museum, we didn’t want to walk far. We ordered the animal nachos and it blew our minds… We wanted to lick the plate clean! Cute little place with a tequila bar, margaritas and some beers, fairly simple menu. All employees were really nice and efficient. The nachos had a bit of heat to them from the green sauce but amazing flavor. The chips are hand made and you can tell! Make this a stop for some incredible flavor and yummy food!

Wow, wow, wow. You need to eat here. You will love it. The Wall Street Journal mentioned this as one of the few restaurants in the country that makes its own masa for its tacos – like an Italian restaurant making its own pasta or a bakery grinding its own flour. When my brother read that, he insisted that I try Bajo Sexto on my upcoming trip to Nashville, and all I can say is: WOW. Okay, that’s not all I can say. In the first place, these were the best tortillas I’ve ever eaten, and I admit that even to the annoyance of my wife, who makes home-made tortillas when we eat Mexican. In the second place, the pork belly taco is the most mouth-wateringly delicious filling I’ve ever had in a taco. In the third place, the service was uniformly friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. And in the fourth place, they have a nice selection of beers and margaritas on hand.

The food is somewhat over priced. Will probably take my husband because the food has a kick to it. The outdoor patio is really nice. We had one fish and one beef taco as well as the chicken nachos. I believe two people would be satisfied with one order of the nachos.

Very pricey Mexican. We were staying at the Omni next door and decided to grab lunch here after a morning at the spa. My sister and I ordered guacamole and queso dip, 2 tacos each and 2 frozen margaritas and I spent close to $ 60+ !!! INSANE! I should’ve known better since they are located inside the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. My favorite thing was the chips and dip. The chips tasted freshly made and were warm and crispy. We ran out of chips and they replenished free of charge so that was nice. Just a warning, they serve smaller sized tacos on an organic corn hand pressed tortilla. They don’t skimp on filling but if you are super hungry I would definitely order more than 1. I had the chicken tinga taco which was easily my favorite out of the 2 I ordered. The fish taco had a battered piece of fish on the inside and it was just too rich and heavy with all of its toppings. Maybe it was the chipotle mayo that was total overkill? I ate about half before giving up. To quote my sister, «Pescado, no Bueno.» I had the berry margarita but for $ 9 for a «solo sized cup»…well it was the price you pay for convenience. There isn’t any actual table service except for the employee that brought out our meals. I will say the outdoor patio is great as it overlooks Music City Center and the Bridgestone Area. It also has a few tvs mounted so you can watch any big sporting events. It’s a prime location but just be prepared to pay more than at your local mom & pop!

Food good, service good, a bit overpriced though for a fast-casual set up. I was surprised to discover Bajo Sexto was a fast casual set up. The staff was friendly, I had the cashier order for me. I got a fish taco and a pork belly taco as well as the 5th Avenue Margarita. While the tacos were high quality and very tasty, they were quite small for $ 6+ each, especially compared to another Mexico City style Taco shop int own, where the tacos are $ 3, twice the size and just as great. I’m not a big drinker but wanted to treat myself for lunch so went for it. It was one of the best margarita’s I’ve had. Most likely to return for drinks but not running back for a meal, soley based on the economics and competition in town.

Swung by this place last weekend, as I was working an event in the Omni. Overall, the space emits a funky, fun vibe. I ordered a short rib taco, a carnitas taco and a side of refried black beans. For $ 13, the tacos were pretty small, and not much on them… that being said, the flavor wasn’t bad. The refried beans were the highlight of the meal. There were a handful of tables inside, and the space opened up to its patio, where there was ample seating as well. Not a bad place to stop into if you’re in the area and need a quick meal, although I’m not rushing to make it part of my normal rotation. Perhaps my Texas roots are to blame… will I ever find a taco that meets my high expectations?

Wavered between a 3 and 4 star… more of a 3.5 star establishment. Visited this place after picking up my race packet for the country music marathon :) so it was pretty packed for early afternoon but that’s probably not normal. It was really stuffy inside the restaurant even with the doors open so they need to work on airflow since the kitchen is all kind of open to the restaurant. There’s lots of outdoor seating so order inside then grab a table and enjoy the great people watching spot. First off… drinks wise I ordered a frozen horchata and it was good but I thought it would be better… frozen alcoholic drinks are always a little lackluster in my opinion because they are pre-mixed but I got it because I have a small obsession with horchata at the moment. I might get it again… might not, it was good but nothing to brag about. Food… I got a chicken quesadilla and I wasn’t super hungry when we ate so it was a perfect portion size for me but if I had been hungry for a full meal this would have been more like an appetizer/snack. As a disclaimer I am not one to eat a lot of food at meals so if you are a big eater… you might want to order two quesadillas at least. The tortillas were a little greasy which was odd but it gave them a nice crunch so I wasn’t turned off by it but I can see how some people wouldn’t like that sort of flavor. Service left a little to be desired. The guy that I ordered with seemed like he wasn’t very interested in talking. I tried to start a convo about how they just opened recently and asked his opinion on some menu items and he just sort of gave me one or two word answers like he didn’t care or didn’t have an opinion so he just said yeah its all good and left it at that. Since this is a good location I’ll probably give it a second try but improvement is needed.

Not bad Sexy Taco! I came here for drinks one evening and then came back for the food last night. Obviously, they cater to tourists and Omni guests, and it was dead on a Tuesday night. The bartender and waiter were both friendly, and we ordered some tacos and nachos as our meal. Another fancy place that does not offer free salsa… womp womp… come on guys! Blah. But the food was pretty solid. I really enjoyed the taco special which was a deliciously cooked pork and but the chicken taco was very bland. I left didn’t finish it. But the nachos were huge and very delicious. More than enough for one person. I wished that I had only ordered one taco and snacked on the nachos as the meal! The tacos are also a decent size, which is good since they range from $ 5-$ 6 each. We had a glass of sangria and margarita and both were very tasty also. It was a bit pricey for Mexican food and the music was pretty loud, but we had an OK dinner. I’d definitely recommend eating here if you are staying at the Omni, but think I prefer Bakersfield for newer, slightly pricier Mexican food.

Great tacos and quesadillas quick and convenient to Music City Center! I got the chicken quesadilla and chips and salsa– both great! The chips come with a red puréed spicier salsa and a chunky green salsa. Both were awesome! The chips are thick and homemade. One drawback is the long line that makes the whole restaurant congested during the lunch rush. Not the most leisurely relaxing experience. On the whole, I’d come back for the food and to try the tasty looking margaritas and queso!
