Mediocre at best. The service was friendly, but. The food in inspired and lacking in seasoning. The server recommended the swordfish; plating was lovely, but the calamari and the swordfish over done. Nice people though!

Visited with husband in April then again in May with some friends, both dinner time. Food on both occasions was very poor. Horrible service in April whereas service(from Holly) in may was excellent. Just not worth going; however its sister restaurants on 5th are both excellent!

Our service was phenomenal, calamari & shrimp appetizer was amazing. Loved the bread basket, Rasta Pasta and the burger were also delicious. I can’t wait to go back down to the Naples area just to go back to this restaurant.

This really isn’t a review of the food but the attitude of the place. I was downtown looking for a place to eat & checked the online menus for lunch. I liked what they offered & saw they served lunch until 2:30. I arrived approximately 2:15& they said no longer had lunch they had their ABC Menu which I had no interest in. I found another place to eat but on my way past again I stopped in to clarify their time. And even though it says 2:30 on their online menu they only seat you till 2:10. I don’t know if that’s the standard in Naples but where I’m from if it gives you a time you will be seated up to that time. Didn’t like their whole attitude & there are plenty of other places to eat here so they will not be getting any of my business.

Went for lunch with my family and young twin daughters. Service was excellent and the wait staff was more than accommodating. Good value for lunch in Naples. The Rasta Pasta and the Kung Pao Shimp were excellent. I would highly recommend.

My family has been coming to Naples for years, but tonight was our first time dining at Yabba. We tend to stay away from a lot of the restaurants on Fifth Avenue simply because they can be too expensive, upscale, and overcrowded… But, we decided to try something new, and I was extremely pleased with our visit! My mom and I walked in for dinner around 5:20 and were seated immediately. Since we arrived before the dinner rush, we were able to get a table with a great view of Fifth Avenue. The décor and atmosphere of the restaurant were extremely comfortable… Family friendly, but also a great spot for a date night. Our server was wonderful; he was prompt, but not overbearing. You receive complimentary biscuits and cornbread with a variety of toppings. The biscuits with maple butter are amazing… I would come back simply for that! I ordered the salmon(blackened) with veggies and a baked sweet potato. Everything was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. My mom ordered the fried shrimp with a baked potato and cole slaw. She raved about it the entire night. The dinners were not cheap, but the large portions and great flavors make the meal well worth it. The iced teas even came with an umbrella and colorful straws… So cute! Thanks for a great experience, Yabba! I will most definitely be back during my next trip to Naples.

Great food and atmosphere right in the middle of everything on Fifth Avenue in Naples. Both indoor and outdoor seating, good place to bring the kids as well.

My family came here before going to see a musical at the theatre next door. My grandmother has always raved about their food and was excited for us to go. Once we got there we told the hostess we had 6 people. They told us that we would be sitting in the dining room and led us to a booth. My grandparents are 80 years old and my grandfather just had hip replacement surgery a couple months ago. There is no way that he would be able to get in and out of a round booth. We told them this and the attitude we got was«Tough. Outside and the booth are your options». There were plenty of tables that they could have given us to accommodate our needs. The restaurant was hardly full at all. This is Naples and there is no shortage of older folks, so for a restaurant to not be sympathetic about this is preposterous. When we finally agreed to just sit outside my Aunt heard the manager make a rude comment to the hostess about us. I’ve been a server for years now and would never treat my patrons this way. This put a damper on our visit because my grandmother was very upset and put off by the whole ordeal. The food was delicious and our server was wonderful, but Mr. Sanders has ruined the reputation of a restaurant that my grandparents have thought so highly of in the past. We will not be going back. My recommendation? If customer service isn’t important to you, then by all means go here. Food is good, but definitely overpriced.

Childrens meals came after adults even though put in with appetizers and specifically requested early. Chicken was inedible even for the 1 year old. By that time, we had to eat what we could as kids were losing it. Server never asked how good was. Oh and the cockroach on the table didn’t help.

Let me start off first by saying this is more of a 2.5 star review. The food was okay(some dishes were good, some not so good.) The service on the other hand was nothing short of awful. We had a reservation on a Saturday night at 8PM, we checked in and had a to wait about 10 – 15 minutes. Okay, I understand, it’s a Saturday and you got backed up. We were seated and excited to eat; the restaurant advertised it’s reasonably priced seafood and that’s what we were in the mood for. Our waiter came over and seemed condescending from the start. He told us there were 5 specials, but he was only going to tell us about 2. What? I guess he wanted to sell the ones that weren’t doing well or were the most expensive(I believe it was both.) He described the pork chop as «the thickest ever» and held out his fingers about 5 inches apart. Okay whatever, exaggeration and probably wasn’t doing well. He was selling it hard. Then he proceeded to talk about the black grouper that was truly black grouper and«not red grouper that is advertised as black like other restaurants on this street.» Wow, way to throw the other restaurants under the bus with a comment like that. Why even mention other ones? 5th ave has great restaurants that do well as it is. That was the start of it going downhill. First, my mother asked whether the steaks come with salad. Honestly not a crazy question, she was just asking as it was slated as a family restaurant with inexpensive dishes. Our waiter says to her, no joke, «No ma’am, this is Naples, Florida.» My mother lives here and made that clear, and even if that wasn’t the case, what a completely rude and condescending comment. It wasn’t a crazy question and could have been handled much better. That really made our table upset, what server would speak to their customers like that? When I ordered a steak medium rare(the cheapest option but hey, I really like a nice sirloin), the waiter said I should be ordering a filet if I asked for medium rare and was wrong to get a sirloin. First off, the filet is about $ 12 more, no thank you. Second, I eat steak about 4 times a week, I’ve had every cut under the sun. I know how I like my steak, do not tell me how to order it, especially one that is much more expensive. Had I wanted to spend the money I would have gotten a filet. This was just adding up. My mothers boyfriend said something to the waiter and he stormed off. The manager came over and we got a new waiter who was 10000x better. Thank for to Yabba for training a good server. I do want to commend our new waiter for the way he handled the situation. He checked all our orders over to make sure they were correct and we enjoyed the conversations with him. For the food, the table got a mahi dish with mussels and shrimp that was delicious, a crab cake dish which was also great, and also that black grouper that my uncle said was delicious as well. However, my steak and my mother’s steak was dry(no one told us we could sauces with it), it is on the menu but small print that I totally glanced over. My mom’s boyfriends dish was seafood, I don’t remember what it was but he wasn’t happy with it. For an extremely loud restaurant, awful service to start with, being treated poorly, and expensive prices, we will not be back. For seafood, some dishes are good, but I wouldn’t get the land dishes. There are other great restaurants on 5th ave and in the area that are much better and won’t cause a sour taste in your mouth.

We came here based on a recommendation of someone who had eaten there a year a go. A lot can change in a year, we were told by our waiter that they were doing some renovations. Two of our party got the fried shrimp, which was ok. The other two shared grilled mahi and the black grouper. Both these plates were almost inedible, flavorless chucks of white fish. We went for yabba dabba do we got yabba dabba don’t.

Three of us went last night for dinner. It was GOOOODDD! The ambiance very nice, the service attentive but not overbearing, and the food delicious. We had a 6:30 reservation and were promptly seated. My back was toward the street with an open floor to ceiling window. Our server asked if I was comfortable or if I wanted the window closed as it was a little chilly/breezy. He efficiently accommodated my request that it be shut. We started with a round of drinks. Two of us had a glass of Ferrari-Carano chardonnay — no oak, crisp and clean($ 15.50 a glass), and the other had a slightly dirty martini. We were happy with our beverage choices. I had the crispy crunchy grouper that sits on a bed of stir fried veggies(I love bok choy!) with a tasty sweet & sour sauce with rice on the side. It was a generous portion. My husband ordered the ahi tuna(rare) with a crab cake on the side. His plate was clean and he declared it wonderful. Our friend ordered pan seared group with mango salsa and a sweet potato. Another member of the empty plate club. He was very happy with his dinner as well. We weren’t «dressed up» but some people were. But we also didn’t have on beach or cabana clothes either. This can certainly be a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and get all decked out. I’d go here again, for sure, and can recommend it to you. Enjoy!

The food was ok… but my sweet potato was bad inside. We sat in Table #1 last night at 6:00 pm(Saturday — pre Valentines Day). Our waitress didn’t follow up after we were served our meals. After I finished, she came to table and I showed her the bad sweet potato– she offered a new one. The swordfish was overdone and dried out. Bread basket was tummy though. No dessert or coffee offered. Picture of potato posted.

It is listed under«chilled shellfish» not appetizers. But regardless of it being an appetizer or not, the portion is incredibly insulting. We used to come to Yabba a few times per year when we came down and always ordered the King Crab Legs and always got 8 – 10 legs in the past…

There this evening with friends. Enjoyed all the meals. The bread basket, corn crab chowder and our meals were very good. Prices were steep compared to last April. (9 months ago) only complaint was my friend said the great looking swordfish was tasteless, so she ordered a side of extra mango sauce. I enjoyed the Thai Lobster and my wife’s crispy, crunchy stuffed grouper she enjoyed immensely. My friends NY strip steak was cooked to perfection. Too stuffed for dessert. Looked around at other interesting, great looking dishes as well… fish and chips, a great looking grilled thick pork chop. This restaurant has great looking plates and interesting combinations of sauces and sides. Will he back. Only disappointment from last April was that they discontinued the appetizer, Shrimp with Thai chili sauce.

I did not like this restaurant at all. The service was really good but the food was nothing out of this world and it was a little expensive. I really wanted to like it but oh well maybe another time.

We had a terrible experience here. The staff are haughty and look down their noses at families. My 5 year old daughter wanted a kiddie drink off the children’s menu. The waitress brought a $ 10 virgin cocktail from the bar. She argued with us when we tried to correct the mistake and made my daughter feel terrible by stating, «She said virgin strawberry daiquiri!» Haha. Like my daughter has ever heard of that before??? Anyways, she would not take it off our bill and we had to ask for the manager. The manager did take it off the bill but was very stern and did not apologize. The food was cold and not very good. We will not go back to say the least

Even if we weren’t on vacation, walking in here would feel like we were. The whole décor feels like a big party going on. It’s hard not to smile when you walk in. We asked for outdoor seating where we could site see and people watch the lovely 5 th Ave Naples. Our server was friendly. Food was amazing. We ordered one app and one dinner and split all because we saw the potion sizes. Crispy green beans with spicy mayo as an app were amazing, worth returning for just to have again. The main course was Rasta pasta, love that name! Shrinmp, little neck clams, mussels, king crab, with garlic, white wine, fresh and sundried tomatoes, hearts of artichokes, and sweet basil in angel hair and Parmesan! Oh such happiness when these flavors came together. Also, there are 2 free parking garages downtown so easy to park. For sure, check this party place out!
