I’ve been to Avenue 5 a few times now for Dinners & lunch and it is by far Top Notch. Aside from it being one of the most beautiful restaurants in Naples, the food is outstanding. The menu selection is amazing from apps to salads(I forget the name but they have a tomato tower or salad OMG is all I can say) to entrée’s. I had the Berkshire Pork chops they were awesome! The food is cooked to perfection & everything myself & family included has had has been 5 star for sure. The service is fantastic as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone & wait till you see the wine enclosure… WOW is all I can say.

Not a nice experience. From the beginning, we saw they did not appreciate we took no wine and no starter, only entrees. We feel really like second rank customers. No one brings us bread and butter and the waiter did not take care of us. Finally, we catch one and we get something to eat until we get our dishes. Food is great. During our dinner, we ask several times to get some water. At the end, when we receive the check, we are surprised to see they add 20% for the gratuity. I asked why the waiter says it is for large party! What a joke, I explain my concerns about the service and I request to choose the gratuity amount, I set it to 15% for the food because their bouillabaisse(which is not really one) was great and the filet mignon too.

We rented out their private room for our rehearsal luncheon. The food here is really good(we tried some lunch items before booking the place). It was quite empty both times but we liked what we tasted so booked the place. Pretty easy process booking the room with a $ 1000 room minimum that we hit with our party of 30. We had pre-assigned the table but when we got their the table was still being set up and a bit disorganized but we were able to fix it in 10 minutes before most of our guests go there. Parking was strange. We were told they had free valet(partnered with Trulucks and the inn) but when we got their the guy took our car, parked it and then demanded we give them some money in tip before they left for the day. Unsure what was going on. It was odd. It was a bit slow moving for a lunch but the food was good and the private room was nice to have, especially with the rain /sun /rain /sun weather we were getting that day.

Where do I start?! Is it the amazing happy hour? The amazing staff? Vlad the bartender? So we pop in here for happy hour. The menu is huge! I order a beer and hubby gets a bourbon to find out I should have had Vlad’s signature martini! … So I did later on. It’s amazing. I got the ceviche and it was huge. Full of succulent seafood done just right in a citrus medley of deliciousness. Hubby got the burger and Lordy is it a burger! $ 9! Their happy hour is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Totally the best part of the establishment. Huge bar on top of that with such generous pours. The artisan cheese plate is a must if having a glass of wine. Their whole happy hour menu is full of delicious mouth watering items. Can’t wait to come back again and again when I’m here next time.

Amazingly, we’ve been lucky enough to spend NYE here the last two years and have always had a good time — but we never actually ate here. This time, we ventured out for Valentine’s day brunch with no reservation! What an adventure. We were sat immediately on the patio(as we requested.) The hostess came over and told us they were a bit behind in the kitchen, but our food came out in a timely manner anyway. I had the chicken caesar and it was great, and my boyfriend had the omelette which was also great. We built our own bloody mary’s and had some unlimited mimosas as well! Our server was slow but it’s expected on valentines day. We had a great time and will be back soon!

Love this place for a lot of reasons. A recent visit gave me one more. I was with a friend who was challenged both visually and for walking. He was waiting with his son at the bar before we moved to a table. The waitstaff, despite a very busy house, were gracious and patient. They carried drinks to the table at the beginning and escorted my friend to the men’s room door later in the evening. The salmon had a sweet glaze, and rested on just enough mashed potatoes so as not to disappear in proportion. We were all assured that the cappuccino was decaf, but it was doubted all around. I was howling at the full moon long after returning home, and pacing like someone who does not expect to sleep until three days later. It’s a common risk when ordering decaf at night, so I can’t blame anyone but myself.

A Naples favorite for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or as room service when you’re staying at the Inn next door — they do it all from this great space. The service in the restaurant and at the bar is always attentive. The lunch and dinner menus have never disappointed and include a nice variety of chef-designed entrees. If you’re planning dinner during the season, make a reservation well in advance. One of my favorite places to sit is at the bar, where they always do a fantastic job mixing the perfect martini or cocktail. Happy hour at the bar is also a good time for people watching. Locals and tourists make this a frequent stop.

It’s virtually impossible to book a private party here. No one returns phone calls and emails. I’m heard good things about Avenue 5 but when you can book a private party it’s a problem.

My boyfriend and I save up to have one very nice date night a year — a night we can go to the nicest restaurants, and order whatever we want, and as much as we want, and not worry about it. It’s something we look forward to every year. And it is with regret that we chose to have this year’s annual date night at Avenue 5. To start, the service was very rushed. We had barely been in our seats five minutes, hadn’t even opened our menus yet, our bottle of champagne we brought wasn’t opened nor put into a chiller yet, and our waitress was asking us what we wanted for appetizers! This trend unfortunately continued throughout the night. I had to mention several times that we wanted to take our time and felt very rushed, but she continually came back to the table over and over again to see if we were ready to order. At one point I even asked her what time she got off, because we felt like we were holding her up or something as she kept rushing us, and she said 10. I looked at the clock and it was 8:55(we had been there since 8:00). I work in the industry and know what it’s like, but if you’re still open for another hour there is no excuse for rushing your table like that. I felt like we couldn’t even talk amongst ourselves because she was constantly butting in to try to get us to order. Despite her persistent nabbing, it took almost 10 minutes to get our expensive bottle of champagne on ice. She did not offer any specials until we finally asked if there were some. She never once mentioned the soup of the day, so we had to ask another employee. She dropped the bread and butter, which there were three different kinds of, but never explained what they were, so again we had to grab another employee and ask them about it. Someone else came and took my bread plate and butter knife before I even had a chance to try it, so I had to ask for another one. As for the food: My boyfriend’s French Onion soup was luke warm. He took one bite and had no interest in eating more. My Caesar salad was SWIMMING in dressing. We split the 14oz 30 day dry aged prime NY strip and let me tell you for $ 57($ 52 + $ 5 split fee) it was the most disappointing steak we’ve ever had. We asked for it MR and it came out closer to MW. It was dry and chewy, absolutely no moisture or juiciness to it. And worst, it had absolutely no flavor. I don’t think they even put salt and pepper on it, and my boyfriend agreed. It was like chewing on cardboard, I’d think. No seasoning, no flavor, no juice, whatsoever. It was the most expensive piece of crap we’ve ever paid for. The mashed potatoes on the plate were apparently garlic Parmesan but you couldn’t taste it. Again, dry and no flavor. I am a HUGE potato person, and they were hard to eat. They were lumpy as if all the moisture were sucked out of them, and they had no taste. We ordered a side of the truffled Mac and cheese but couldn’t stomach the awful food anymore. We had it boxed up, but actually ended up just throwing it away on our way out because if it was anything like the rest of the meal it would of been nothing more than disappointing and a waste of money. We weren’t even going to bother. When our food was cleared our waitress asked us what we wanted for dessert, and I had to tell her that we didn’t have a dessert list! Were we supposed to just know off the top of our heads what they had for dessert?! And worse, she brought just ONE over. It’s not the end of the world if we have to share, but the restaurant was empty so I knew there had to be enough menus. And I’ve worked in fine dining and know the steps of service, so I don’t understand why she wouldn’t bring two menus for two people. We chose to go elsewhere for dessert because of our experience with the food thus far, but being in the industry were curious to see what they had to offer. The only upside to the night was that they waved the corkage fee for our very expensive bottle of wine, though when our waitress told us she hinted that we should take extra care of her because of it. We had a $ 25 certificate and my boyfriend was debating not using it since they did wave the one fee, but we quickly realized we had no desire to ever come back to such a bad establishment that we went ahead and used it this time. For the prices they have, we expected much better food and service. We probably could of spent half as much somewhere else and had a much better experience.

Our family enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner here and loved it! The staff was friendly and had our reserved table ready when we arrived. Everyone loved their meals. I had the prime Delmonico steak. It was perfect. The wine selection was excellent. Our server Michael was pleasant and helpful. It was decided then and there that we will return again.

This restaurant is AMAZING!!! Little pricey but so worth it. While enjoying a vacation in Naples FL my husband and I stopped in Avenue 5 and were so glad we did. From the time we walked in the door until we left the staff made us feel so welcome. Service was great but the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend the scallops but do not miss the vanilla crème brûlée for desert!

A small group of us wanted to go out for drinks and apps for Halloween on 5th. We started at a restaurant across the street. To our surprise the other restaurant didn’t have Happy Hour because it was Halloween, go figure. We walked into Avenue 5 and we were impressed immediately with the décor and felt comfortable because the hostess was very friendly. Upon sitting at the bar we were happy to discover they had a great selection of apps for Happy Hour. The bartenders/servers promptly asked us for our drink orders. We ordered several apps and were very pleased how quickly they came out. The food was very tasty, the drinks and wine were good and the service was excellent. A few of us wanted to order more cause everything was so good, but we were too full. We will definitely be back again, real soon. Avenue 5 is a keeper!

Why four stars, because everything was almost perfect but not quite, to get five stars every item must be perfect. The service was excellent, the ambience was fantastic, the waitstaff could not do enough, but the food was where it lost a star. I had the yellowfin tuna and it was excellent, and everything that came with it was excellent, but my wife had the salmon and that was far from excellent, I know salmon can be a little strong at times but part of the salmon was basically not good, where another part of it was good as if it was not stored probably in the refrigerator or somehow part of it getting warm and turned bad? Either way it sucked. Otherwise the desserts were excellent also, very nice place and will go back but I could not give them five stars at this point due to having one of the main dishes not being up to par.

Came here with my family for lunch as we were walking down 5th. Looked very nice and classy from the outside and the inside was just as impressive. We ordered fich and chips made with cod, it was cooked to perfection. I had a grouper sandwich with the salt and pepper fries and was very impressed with it. My sis kept it simple and ordered the new England calm chowder. I am not a fan, but she said it was very good. The place is very light, large windows to see street traffic and cloth linens on the table. I am very happy we chose it abd I wld recommend it for those traveling to Naples.

Service was excellent and nice atmosphere but that’s it. Tried the early bird special thought it would be good deal but was disappointed. Portions were tiny and the food was nothing to get excited about. Had the lamb was room temperature and not very tasty. The only good thing was the bread and the bottle of wine we ordered. Even at early bird prices with 3 adults and 1 child still spent $ 150.00. Don’t mind spending the money if I leave satisfied.!!

Avenue 5 is a very nice, upscale restaurant on 5th Avenue in old Naples. It gives off a very sophisticated ambiance the minute you walk in. It is very clean and modern inside, with beautiful floor to ceiling glass, giving you a lot of natural light and some fun people watching. Service is impeccable, from the waiters, to Christopher, the manager, who walks around every table asking if everything is satisfactory. Their lunch menu is quite varied and contains soups, burgers, platters, and sandwiches, for the most part. My friend and I found it on a spur of the moment while walking on 5th Avenue and decided to check it out since we were starving, even though we hadn’t seen Unilocal reviews and knew it could go either way. Luckily, the reviews were positive, and accurate. My friend ordered a burger with their famous Florida salad, and I got their tortilla salad. I liked the fact that my salad had a ton of varied ingredients such as romaine lettuce, spice rubbed chicken breast, tortilla strips, avocado, black beans, salsa fresca, poblano peppers, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle ranch dressing, so it packed a punch. It was quite large, so despite the fact it was a salad, it was quite filling. My friend was also quite satisfied with his meal. I’m sure the ambiance at night is different, but in the day time, it is very laid back, yet attentive. We enjoyed ourselves and would return!

This place is highly rated, but it’s extremely overrated for a higher end restaurant. The service is excellent as expected. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. But the food is way below the quality expected at this type of establishment. I had the grouper and it was dry(way over cooked) and lack flavor. It was nothing special. The food asks for mid-$ 30 to $ 40 per plate but offers food I would expect at an average chain restaurant. I don’t recommend it to others who expect to have an amazing meal. If you are looking for just the atmosphere then it’s a great place. But when I dine out I expect excellent food to accompany my dining experience.

My wife had a birthday recently and received a great coupon to avenue 5 so I made reservations for last Saturday After reading the reviews I almost cancelled we are so glad we didn’t based on our waiter Zhekos recommendation that I try the short ribs because I wanted beef my wife also chose from the all inclusive signature menu. My short ribs showed up on a bed of mashed potatoes with vegetables covered in a very tasty sauce I ate it all with a fork. My wife’s pork chop came with potatoes and vegetables must have been a three inch chop she enjoyed it and took enough home for two more meals. Don’t let the reviews scare you we go out rarely so we are picky we will return their signature menu is probably the best meal we’ve had in sw fl for under a hundred dollars with tip and we didn’t need or have room for any add ons

The reviews posted represent an accurate snapshot of our dinner experience. The place has a nice décor and vibe. It was busy with energetic clientele. As hotel guests, they made an extra effort to get us a table quickly which was appreciated after our day of travel. Service was very good. Nice menu. We split the Florida salad which was flavorful but too much dressing for my taste. My friend had the ahi tuna dinner, I had the grouper. The tuna was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The grouper was very fresh and flavorful. The heavy sauce on the grouper dish was too much, too over-powering for the great fish. Overall, a lovely evening. I would go back. It is pricey but you expect that in high season on fifth avenue in Naples, right?

They offer a 2011 Caymus by the glass. Sweet. Lobster bisque soup was silky and divine, however a bit on the tepid side of temperature and thereafter everything else suffered the same temperature issue. Is the kitchen too far from the dining area? I thought I was safe ordering swordfish special. It was excessively dry. The mussels were gritty with a faint hint of fishy taste but the broth was outstanding. Best part of the meal. Pleasant wait staff.

Beautiful place. Mediocre food. The service is wonderful. The interior is gorgeous and cool and just what Naples needs. The food needs work. Our shared fried oysters Rockefeller was very tasty and well-prepared: a deconstructed version of the classic. Husband ordered lazy man’s lobster. He liked it. Nothing new or earth-shattering here. Potato gratin was just a lot of cream– disappointing. My black grouper was a total bomb. For goodness’ sake, chef, you’re in Florida! The grouper should be flawless! Mine arrived in a bowlful of lukewarm canned tomatoes– poorly seasoned and unacceptable. Up your game if you want to fill this pretty space. I’ll take the same $ and cook at home until you do

What a wonderful restaurant with amazing food, décor and service! We had dinner and drinks at the bar and Greg was our server. He was very attentive and helpful when ordering off the menu. He made excellent recommendations and we had a great time. I had the Moscow Mule to start and it was probably the best Moscow Mule I’ve ever had. Served in a large copper mug it was perfect! For starters we had the lobster slider appetizer which was very yummy. Served in between fried green tomatoes that did not disappoint. I ordered the ahi #1 sashimi and it was heaven on earth. The tuna was so good it melted in your mouth! Everyone else loved their food and by the end of meal everyone’s plates were clean. During our trip to Naples this was hands down the best meal we had. I highly recommend checking it out! A great location near other bars and shops so you can spend your whole night on 5th Street.
