Took my grandmother out to dinner, but her usual spot had crazy crowds(forgot it was a Saturday in season). Then I remembered seeing that this new place had opened. So glad we ended up there! Amazing food and excellent service. My Belgian grandmother enjoyed speaking French with the owner(who apparently didn’t speak English when she moved here in Aug but can more than hold her own in conversations now). Complimentary starter salads were a nice touch. Dessert was fabulous and THEN they brought us macaroons. Another nice touch. Impressed that EVERYTHING is made from scratch in-house. Also liked the ambiance, and my grandmother appreciated that it was better lit inside than other restaurants. A lot of customers were also taking advantage of the outdoor seating.

I really wanted to love Tartine & Tartlette but overall the food was pretty bad. The name alone lends itself to a quaint place to enjoy some lunch on the patio, in regards to ambiance, I feel it does deliver. The inside was quite small. I sat outside and was quickly greeted. Service was quick and attentive. I had a glass of wine and the lunch ½ smoked salmon quiche and cup of onion soup which came with a small green salad on the side. The French onion soup was so bland and watered down. I had to shake the salt in there for a full minute to extract some sort of flavor and the quiche I wanted to love so much was also bland and they way they cooked it, the smoked salmon was beyond dry. If it weren’t for the small green salad to balance the buttery dry blandness I probably would have sent back the plate. Next, I was set on trying the dessert sampler, looking forward to it actually! I’m not big on desserts but this restauranteur is a classically trained pastry chef so I was looking to see how he threw down in an area he truly shined. The waitress then proceeded to talk me out of ordering what I really wanted claiming that I would only get a tiny bite of what I really would love, the crème brûlée. She highly recommended that I order just the crème brûlée instead so I did and I sorely regretted it. While it was good, it wasn’t the right time of day for it. A warm day sitting on the patio the vat of custard melted before my eyes into a thick soupy consistency. I was only able to get about 2 bites with the crème intact so naturally I left highly disappointed. That said I still would like to return. Probably not for lunch or dinner but for that dessert sampler plate I missed out on and for a nice glass of wine on the patio.

The French onion soup sucked, like horrible, it was very bland, no flavor at all(kind of ironic with all the onions), did not have cheese over it. The sand which was supposed to be on a baguette and it was not, just regular bread. Both times I went, they could not make French fries even though it’s on the menu. I spent $ 22 for a soup and sandwich, it was my first meal after giving birth… Not happy.

What a great find in Naples! The staff is extremely helpful! Very friendly service. The food was so delicious! For starters we had escargot for the table. A garlic lovers dream! We also had Conte for the table — melted in your mouth. For my main course I got the French onion soup — a classic. They did not disappoint with a twist to this soup. It came on a charming slate and was set up as a make your own, with a cup of cheese and croutons on the side that you can add. Perfect for those who want to make it their own way. Others at the table got the lamb, veal, scallops, and steak and loved the dishes. We finished with an apple tart and crème brûlée. Both were delicious and gone in moments. The wine list was also plentiful, with a myriad of options to chose to best accent your dish. We were lucky enough to eat outside on a beautiful night, but even if you’re not able to take advantage of the lovely Naples weather the interior is so charming! Loved the décor. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant — it’s a gem!

Some of the best French food I’ve had this side of the Atlantic. A stellar crème brûlée, and delicious apple tart were the exclamation point on the end of the shout of joy that was my meal. I started with an amazing escargot, and also had a delicious veal dish. All in all a truly fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, and even the chef and owner came out to check up on us to ensure we were enjoying everything. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

The French talent is in the kitchen, presenting finished orders, and handling checkout. At the risk of sounding francophile, I would love to hear the accent from the order taker, who really was a nice individual otherwise. There is contemporary French radio streaming, however, during my lunch visit. Love the modern décor in white, grey, and silver. Quiche served at other tables received a thumbs up. I had potato leek soup and half of a Croque Monsieur, which was permitted under the luncheon half sandwish/half soup menu item. Delish!
