This restaurant closed march 2013. I loved this place.

Eat here all the time for lunch because I work in this mall. They haven’t failed me yet. You can get a burger or sandwich for about 10 bucks.

The food here is really solid, but nothing to write home about. Ordered cajun-style«bruschetta» tilapia. I enjoyed the dish. Tilapia was fresh, well cooked and had an excellent crust(maybe a tad dry), but the«bruschetta» topping helped alleviate some of the dryness. That part was fine, but meh. Sides of rice and vegetables were ok but completely unseasoned. Still, the fish had enough seasoning for most of the plate. Others ordered salads(again, fine), chicken and ribs(not bad), etc. Pretty good service and very affordable too.

Shitty service. And this has happened on the last several occasions. I usually order takeout, but there’s never anyone at the bar ready to check out and when I asked the server and hostess they always ignore me. I’ve talked to a few other people, and they have had similar experiences.

I have never been so upset at the terrible service I received at a restaurant. I had the chicken pot pie which was watery and I said something to my waitress. She was rude about it that she was almost yelling. After I declined for fear of having my food spit in, my wife and I were ignored for the rest of the night. I went to see the manager and his only words were«well what are you going to do… have a good night…» Never again

Food was good, but service was slow. We were there on a crowded Thursday night. The dining room staff did a poor job cleaning tables. Our seats had crumbs all over it and the table across from us had food and straw wrappers all over the floor even after the staffer«cleaned» it for the next party. Also, a manager brought us our food, dumped it on the table and didn’t say a word. Unfriendly hostesses too. Won’t go back.

As casual shopping based restaurants go, this place is pretty good. The Baby Back Ribs are a pleasure and the caesar salad is pretty good. The main attraction is that it’s right near the Apple Store. The large outside bar & seating area is a plus in this very upscale mall. It’s not a destination restaurant. Rather it’s a restaurant located at a destination.

On our way back home from a day trip to Naples, we were trying to find a decent place to eat and based on other Unilocalers reviews, we decided to try Silver Spoon Café. The other restaurants in this mall were a bit too costly for our needs at that moment. Sunday evening around 7PM, not too many people there, we were immediately seated inside(too hot to sit outside). We were seated at 7:05 and they told us we could still order off the happy hour menu, which would last until 7:10(most places are pretty strict about the end time of happy hour). We both got 2 for 1 $ 3 draft beers and perused the extensive menu. Most of the food seemed kind of mass-market, but the«pasta pies» sounded unique, so I ordered a smoked chicken pasta pie. Wife got the BBQ Chicken Salad. We accepted the bread with Boursin. The bread was brought out warm and somewhat crispy but not really brown on top. It’s obviously not homemade, but it was okay. The soft Boursin spread was great, though. The smoked chicken pasta was tasty… nothing super special, but tasty. There were a couple of large pieces of chicken in it, but otherwise difficult to find much more than a few slivers. Trying to cut carbs, so I didn’t eat all the pasta. Wife’s chicken salad was good. The chicken was basted in a sweet bbq sauce that was quite good and really eliminated the need for more dressing on the salad. She enjoyed it, ate half and took the other half home. No dessert for us although I was tempted by the peanut butter ice cream pie. The service was good, not pushy or annoying. If I’m in the area again, I’ll probably stop here for lunch or dinner. It was casual, easy and tasty. Two of us for this meal cost $ 34.

Here is how this worked for my husband & I: We stopped by on a slow, lazy afternoon, craving fun bevs & sat outside in the cool little patio area.(not out front, but in the middle of the shops, in front of Willams Sonoma). We ordered a couple of drinks, hung out and had a great time. They had service out there, but most of the time went back inside to make the drinks. Despite it being a hot day it was perfect under the fans, and after two drinks I took a little side trip off to a couple of the shops, and then was back in time to finish and show off my fabulous finds. This was a great compromise, we hung out, I shopped, he relaxed, nice & easy. We have eaten here before & the food is reliable/good, in line with Cheesecake Factory or similar chains. The drinks were tasty, nothing amazing, but decently priced and at least they contained liquor.

No complaints from me. The food was tasty and service was good(attentive without being annoying). Actually the dish I had was pretty delicious, chicken with artichokes. I even accidentally stumbled upon happy hour on a Saturday and took advantage of the discounted beer.

This is the only chain restaurant I will give 4 stars. Silver Spoon used to be a chain throughout the Southeast. Then the stupid corporate owner, whose primary holding is Morrison’s Cafeterias, changed the format of all of the Silver Spoon outlets to Mozzerella’s Café. Stupid. Except they made one smart move. They didn’t mess with the Naples location or the one in Fort Myers, supposedly because they were the two most successful outlets in the chain. Then the Morrison’s suits decided they screwed up by doing the Mozzerella’s thing and since nobody knew if Mozzeralla’s was supposed to be quasi-American or Italian cuisine, they changed their mind again and backtracked somewhat, changing the outlets to Mozzerella’s, The American Café, eventually dropping the Mozzerella’s and reverting to the original menu and concept of Silver Spoon. In the meantime, they lost some of the outlets and there are just a handful of The American Cafes left around the Southeast. The Naples location never changed and is still The Silver Spoon Café, with the same consistent menu and good service. The orange-flavored iced tea is very refreshing. They have offered the same soups for years, and I will be totally angry if the idiots at corporate ever change it. The potato cheese soup and tomato dill soup are both winners. The oven baked pasta pies are great comfort food and the menu has plenty of options. The Naples location is at Waterside Shops, an ultra high end collection of shops including Gucci, Cartier, etc. However, the café is casual and you can eat inside or outside. It used to be a lot more active with a crowd and a wait. However, oddly enough, as the Waterside Shops went from upscale to ultra upscale, and as numerous other restaurants have opened in the Naples area providing unbelievable competition, the crowds at Silver Spoon have thinned, have gotten older, and you can usually get in. Nevertheless, the food is still consistent, good, and reasonably-priced.

I am only writing about the food, because we got our meal to go – no idea how the service was. The call-and-pickup ordering was easy, and I didn’t have to wait long after I arrived. I had a chicken caesar salad, and my wife had a pasta dish. Both were good… the highlight of the salad were the small, cheese-covered breadsticks that came with it. They also give a small loaf of bread and side of butter with the to-go order(some other restaurants only give bread when you eat in). Only complaint was that they did not provide any utensils or napkins for the meal; it’s a tourist spot, so I am sure that I am not the only one staying in a hotel without my own plates and silverware.

The café is in the upscale Waterside Shops shopping center(think Saks, Cartier, Hermes, etc.). There’s an indoor restaurant but I opted to eat outside where there’s a bar and small table area. Service was prompt and efficient, iced tea was replenished as soon as it was empty. The Oriental chicken salad was ample and delicious with«chicken fingers»(who ever thought up that ugly name anyway?), mixed greens, almonds, mandarin oranges, grape tomatoes and a terrific not-too-spicy sauce on the side. I’d eat there again — the menu had some interesting items I’d like to try. The mall is a bonus. It’s been expanded and, after a very long time with construction and dust, is now absolutely gorgeous with fountains, seating areas, etc. Even the public rest rooms are upscale with granite, marble and hardwoods, oh my.
