I accidentally ended up here. It’s eerily empty in herr, except for a few Spanish speaking employees hollering out to each other over the clothes racks. Everyone is just kind of… standing around.
How does Sears exist still?

My dishwasher was operable before the repairman arrived, but needed a minor repair of a non-​essential part. He quickly replaced a part, refused to test it, and left. The dishwasher poured water all over the floor once turned on after he left.
Once contacted, the repairman stated that he would order a new part and return to make the repair. He stated that the part he installed came from an «open box.» He did not order the part, nor return as promised. A phone call to Sears Home Services revealed the part was not ordered, and conflicting information was given during multiple calls as to how the part would be ordered and replaced in the dishwasher.
I paid for a minor repair of a convenience function, and was left for weeks over the Thanksgiving holiday with an inoperable dishwasher. This required setting up another service window to repair the dishwasher. Many phone calls to Sears Home Services concerning this issue to «phone answering» people who were difficult to converse with resulted in my written complaint being «watered down» and completely changed to eliminate the damage caused, and make the repair appear normal. I was even told that I wasn’t the person who received the service because my name was changed on the case to something different, although it was written clearly on the complaint.
After numerous phone calls and dozens of requests for a refund I was denied any recourse, and was told that I could not speak to anyone above the level of the person who answers the phone. This has been the worst customer service I have received on any home-​related issue. I never expected that a I would end up having an operable appliance broken by a repairman, and to spend the next month being increasingly frustrated pleading with people that leave my case written in more confusing language with each phone call. My experience with Sears Home Services is far worse than anything I could imagine from reading the other negative complaints about this business.

Watch repair and battery replacement– go there! The man is SO nice and takes great care of your watch. He even shortened a bracelet for me. Easy access — right across from the optical department. Get new glasses or have yours fixed AND get your watch or jewelry taken care of.

I purchased an electric dryer from sears and felt I was pushed into something I did not need! I am older and felt intimidated. when it was delivered the delivery person wanted the old one as it still was in working order. I felt this was the prudent thing to do as he said it would otherwise be disposed of. He told me the vent kit that we purchased would not fit and I should return it to the store. He did not give us the entire kit back and at the store we were told we could have a partial refund in the form of a gift card. I do not need a gift card for SEARS!!! I overpaid for what I needed and was scammed with the delivery! Beware of Sears!

Sears schmears… This is one of the reasons I go to Coastland Mall. And deal with all the other snowbirds, teens, Tweens, soccer mothers, the blind giving directions to the deaf. The gauntlet of cars backing and hybrid ramming sport utes.
I like sears for the Diehard batteries and specialty tools they carry. As for my tools I have a mix matched set of some sears some goodwrench a few snap on and a few craftsman. And a few autozone/​harbor tool crapsman knock offs. The tool guarantee has changed read the fine print. And reconditioned tools are now exchanged for commonly used hand tools I have a mix of full polish and drop forged and paid a premium for the full polish set. If my replacement was drop forged I would not be happy.
Staff here do their best, working extra hours during the holiday it’s tough on them too so try to be patient. Great deals and specials if you use their card for purchases. Layaway is a good option to lock into a good price especially when front load washer dryers go on sale. Many of the departments are busy during the holiday. There will be long lines hope they add more computers or counters to take care of the rush. So, don’t expect an easy in and out over here since parking is crazy enough on the weekends.
