While on vacation I needed to replace a water logged phone. I have three phones on a shared minutes plan with each on their own data plan. The rep stated that I had an available upgrade so I could purchase the phone I was interested in at a discount as well as receive the current rebate reducing the cost by $ 100. In addition, it was the last day for a free Jetpack promotion. Based on my plan, it would only cost me $ 4 extra a month for the service an no cost for the jet pack. The rep appeared very helpful. HOWEVER…the rep did a number of things without fully disclosing or misrepresented the facts. She never showed me the itemized bill before asking me to sign using the keypad. Upon further review, I discovered that she charged me for setting up the phone and jet pack without disclosing there would be a cost or asking me first($ 10 each) and she charged me $ 50 for the jet pack. When I submitted the rebate form, it was for the phone only and for $ 150, not $ 100. While the additional $ 50 offset the cost of the jet pack, it wasn’t free and will require a restocking fee now if returned. In addition, in order to get the jet pack service to $ 4/mos. she changed my minute plan without disclosing and put all three phones on a shared data plan of 6GB. With our previous separate data plans we had 4GB, a 2GB and a grandfathered unlimited data on a third line. There was no way we wouldn’t incur add’l data charges in the future. In addition, the upgrade was not on my phone but on the unltd data phone. Since she used that upgrade the unltd plan went away and can nvr be recovered since they no longer offer unltd data plans. I discovered many of these details after speaking with a Verizon customer service rep. He stated the rep could have kept me on my former plan and used upgrade but unltd data would be 6GB instead. Could not give back the unlimited data plan. So I had him revert back to my former plan and suspended the addl line set up for jet pack for 90 days so I could resolve the jet pack issue with Go Wireless directly. It has been two weeks since I called both the store location and corporate customer service. Corporate siad i needed to deal with the store direct but would call me back the following day to confirm whether manager returned my call. To date, The manager has yet to call me back and I never recd the follow up call from corporate. Today I left another message with the store and was told the message would be given to the manager As well as the district manager that was due in today. Yet to be determined whether this will be resolved. At a minimum, buyer beware and make sure you clearly understand every little detail provided in writing BEFORE signing as they requested.

Don’t go there. All I wanted to do was transfer information from one phone to another after a replacement was sent. I recently moved close to this location and was looking forward to having a helpful Verizon store nearby as I have 5 cell phones on my account all with contracts due at different times. I also needed some accessories. However, I waited through 2 customers only to find out rudely that it would cost $ 20 to transfer my information. It’s free at the Verizon store off Daniels tho! Why would I ever buy anything at this retailer now?
