Just had a wonderful Lobster dinner. You have to have the au gratin potatoes. Great food, nice atmosphere, at a good price.

Good atmosphere, great wait staff and fabulous food! Steaks, grilled shrimp and sautéed Grouper were excellent. Their choice of sides … amazing and the homemade dressings were very tasty. Too bad we were too full to try their homemade key lime pie! We’ll be back!

Came here for happy hour 1÷09÷163pm and was never offered a happy hour menu. The food was good, but overpriced. They lure you in with clearly advertised all day happy hour menu and then do not offer it. We feel taken advantage of and won’t likely return. Place has a stale atmosphere and slow service too. They charge 5 star prices and serve 3 star food in a 2 star diner environment.

Mr. Big Fish popped up on my search a few times to find a casual seafood restaurant. Their are plenty of upscale places around the area but I’m looking for a laid back atmosphere. The restaurant was pretty crowded since this is «in season» for Naples. Had a seat at the bar and was greeted immediately. Also had great convo with the«locals» and another person travelling alone. Ordered the drunken mussels and blackened grouper. The meal comes with two sides(had sweet potato fries & spinach) and a salad. A lot of food for not a lot of money. The meal itself was great and was so much food! They have a lobster meal that is currently 20.16! Great spot to come try if you are wanting to relax and be casual.

Went for the Tues. night grouper night where a grouper entrée is $ 14. It was incredibly busy and the atmosphere was quite hectic. A runner brought bread and water, placed it on the table without saying a word. Finally flagged down a manager to get a waitress to come over after waiting for 10 minutes. Meal arrived hot but the blackened grouper was very spicy. When the checks came, the grouper dinners were charged at regular price because the waitress failed to tell us that the special is only valid with the purchase of a beverage. Have been here several times and although the food is decent, the service is terrible. I think I’ve been to Mr Big Fish for the last time

Stopped in for their Tuesday Special of the grouper dinner for 15 bucks. Seems like a nice enough place, and the food was decent. Definitely has a loyal following judging by the people coming in. They were a little bit stingy with the portion size. Let’s put it this way, if they get 15 bucks for the grouper filet I got, for dinner, the last 24 inch grouper I caught was worth about 90 bucks.

Fabulous, fresh fish at reasonable prices! We both had grouper – one sautéed and one blackened, both done perfectly. Followed with real key lime pie. We will make this a must-go-to restaurant whenever we are in Naples!

We have eaten at 6 or 8 of the top places I Unilocal since we got here on vacation 4 days ago. I had the grouper and chips with a bowl of seafood chowder… my wife had the fried green tomatoes. Is you can get past the okayish service and strip mall environment you should be very happy with the food! Very good fish… flavor was great… homemade tarter was perfect… I don’t even like tomatoes And the fried green tomatoes were great!

Fresh seafood. Excellent ingredients. Carefully prepared food with lots of flavor. Servers were very attentive and this place has excellent but simple(not basic) menu with an unpretentious attitude. Goodbye Randy’s and Steamers — this is now my go to for casual seafood!

The stars are for service only, they really deserve 5, but then it would be misleading for Unilocal consumers, I asked the waiter to recommend a fish and he said that the Grouper was the freshest, it was Not that fresh the side vegetables where over cooked, and it was a very small piece of fish for a total of almost $ 25 a plate, see pictures, now that I think about it I should give them NO Stars.

We almost ate here. But the attitude of the servers kept us away, and good riddance! They close at 10pm and we were pulling up a little after 8:30. As we opened the door to a well decorated seafood restaurant, we get treated to a «Oh, come on! Are you serious?!?» by a waitress staring us down. The place was quiet and close to empty, with only a couple families that seemed close to finishing. Her crappy attitude immediately turned us off, so we just turned around and left. For all we know, it could have been a lovely place. But when the wait staff has an attitude like that, it’s not worth our time or effort or money to try and have a family dinner. I hope this review helps others evaluate whether it’s worth their time to give this place their business. Or maybe an employee will read this and realize that it’s not appropriate to act with disgust when a family enters the establishment 1.5 hours before closing time.

Excellent service, Hector and Christian were great! Food was amazing, I had the grilled scallops with sautéed spinach, and my boyfriend had the stuffed shrimp with lobster and crabmeat, very very yummy! We will definitely return on our next trip to naples ! Thank you for making our night memorable

Food was great. Service was awful! Brought me out the completely wrong thing. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and yet our server was no where to be found.

It’s a bar with bar food. Love the idea of a restaurant trolling for Chicagoans who miss smelting season off the Illinois’ Lake Michigan piers. Smelt are on Mr. BF’s menu. I ordered the lfish & chips. The $ 8 luncheon portion is a half cup size of coleslaw, alongside two lightly battered, fried fish filets, with a mixture of fries and onion rings(3). Mr BF does what other local restaurants are doing: describing the selection as a «basket», so reminiscent of summer carnival on beach boardwalks. But the actual serving will be astride a plate. Guess that satisfies the health inspectors. Who knows. I kinda liked the plastic, wire sided baskets. It went with the level of food cradled inside.

We went on a Tuesday night in June. Wasn’t a lot of people, but there seemed to be a few locals. We ate early because we have a four year old. The service was friendly and even had a little treasure chest full of little toys for our son to play with. The food was cooked perfectly and our fish was delicious. Wish I could have tried the fried green tomatoes or the chowder, but the scallops were delicate and prepared well. I liked the atmosphere, and the music was good. Highly recommended.

Hands down one of the best seafood restaurants in Naples. Don’t be fooled by its location, Hidden just off the Neapolitan plaza. The seafood is fresh well priced an excellent service. Even the kids menu with grilled shrimp or salmon was a refreshing change to see. We started off with the fish chowder which was delicious, The grilled grouper with the sautéed spinach was exceptional as well as the mixed seafood cioppino. On Mondays they had a special where any item on the menu was only $ 17 an unbeatable deal for the quality and portion size. Happy hour at the bar is also a great find with dollar blue point oysters and other $ 3 bar bites, as well as drink specials. Finally a decent seafood restaurant in Naples with great food and affordable pricing. Kudos Mr. Big Fish

Good seafood place at the corner of a strip mall in North Naples. The menu has a variety of broiled, blackened and fried seafood. I enjoyed the unusual selection of fried smelt. You need to be a real seafood fan to like these which fortunately is the case here. The taste is like sardines, real fishy. We also had the stuffed shrimp, which was good but kind of expensive at something like $ 26 for what I remember to be 4 stuffed shrimp. The service is good. The décor is naturally of a nautical theme. Not a whole lot different from the other seafood joints in Naples. Four stars for well prepared food. A little more variety, maybe a little more food for the price would move them into 5 star territory.

What a cute little seafood spot! At first when you walk in it’s seems like a chain restaurant something that kind of reminds you like of Joe’s crabshack but they’re actually family owned which is a plus in my book. I enjoyed this restaurant so much I ended up coming back for dinner the same day. Blackened salmon– Really good! comes with a buttery cream sauce on the side thats good and the rice was awsome! Needs less old bay Oysters– not the freshest or Best Buy had very good. Comes with a spicy cocktail sauce but no Mignionette. Fried seafood platter– Just ok. Drunken mussels– I’m used to much more flavor but it wasn’t bad don’t think I would order again though. If you’re in Naples, you HAVE to stop by here if you’re craving seafood. It is a must visit and I would deffinitly come again!

Tucked away in a quaint little plaza, lies every Neapolitan’s nightmare of seasonal residents, Publix across the street and a poorly designed parking lot. BUT, redemption can be found in Mr. Big Fish. All you want to express is «Get me out of this madness and give me some darn grouper!» A big huge marlin and planked walls greet the patrons and then you have a seat amongst the Neapolitans of Pelican Bay and Park Shore peeps. There might be a little generation gap happening, but that’s Naples for you. It’s all good because the restaurant took over the same hangout and elevated it to a different experience.(Sadly, we might avoid this place in the height of season, but we tend to hibernate when the crazy drivers are out.) With all that said, I’ve been in there a few times and have experienced some good customer service and good food. You know those days when you want something hot to eat? This place cures the cold with a beautiful piece of fish, steamed vegetables and rice, or start off with a seafood chowder or a homey conch chowder. The prices are right and the choices are great that don’t need a lot of explanation. If I could describe it in two words, it would be «Simply Good». I have yet to try their sandwiches and I hear their grouper reuben is phenomenal. But I’ve also tried their blackened salmon and their pan-sauteed haddock, and was pleased with both dishes. However, there was a slight chalky texture that was had with the haddock. It’s a very simple fix of cooking it out just a little bit longer. The coating was so light that it didn’t really ruin the taste and texture of the fish. This is a far cry from the restaurant it used to be in that location, so it’s nice that there’s a place to casually hang out at for lunch that has a honed down menu for those that are need of fish at Mr. Big Fish. Again, Simply good. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
