Nancy’s is one of my favorite pizza chains in the Burbs. The sauce has a little more zip than the rest. But what really keeps me coming back is the Broccoli Tempura appetizer… it’s so delicious that my husband and I each get our own side of it! They serve it with this awesome creamy garlic sauce… YUM!

Good Pizza, lousy staff I will say that there stuffed pizza is very good, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that their customer service was lousy. I placed my order at 6:30 was told it would take about 25 to 30 min. I get there about about 35 min latter and was told that was coming out of the oven in about 2 minuets, so I step out, come back 10 minuets later and the other guy tells me that the order never made it from to the computer and that my order was never started. On top of that he did not apologize. If it wasn’t the first time they screwed up my order, and the fact he then had me step aside while he helped two other cutomers before he issued my credit back, It would have been no big deal. Added the fact he had to make snide comments about it when I left. Bottom line: Pizza is Good if you can get past the staff that works there.

Supposedly, Nancy’s stuffed pizza is Chicago’s original stuffed pizza. They tout their accolades all over their website. Although they don’t live up to their seemingly amazing reputation, I really enjoyed their thin, which is about the same thickness as a Giordano’s crust. For comparison purposes, their thin pizza is most closely related to a thin Giordano’s pizza. It’s a little more thick and buttery, and the cheese tastes a little different. I prefer Giordano’s overall, but the pizza is a solid 3.5 out of 5. I can’t wait to try their stuffed one day. I thought the location was difficult to find, and the incompetent teenager on the phone probably made it harder.

I was so excited to find a place up here that has Alfredo pizza!(Apparently in Chicagoland, «white pizza» means«no sauce» or «olive oil and cheese»; when I lived in TX, this meant white sauce. So for quite a while I would get thrilled to see that name on a menu, only to bum out once I read the description.) But lo! Nancy’s has the real thing! And last night my bf and I ordered a bacon, onion and chicken alfredo pizza for dinner on an original thin crust. Yay! They put a ton of bacon on there. Actually, a little more than my stomach wanted to deal with. The crust was really good though, not the cracker-thin version(they have that too); it has some body to it. I forgot to ask for a «pie-cut» and thus got that stupid tic-tac-toe board which makes it impossible to eat the pieces in the middle with no crust attached! I guess this would be fine if you’re splitting it up for a party and trying to make a pizza go farther, but not when it’s two people who don’t want to eat a dozen tiny slivers of pizza each. Also, it stayed very hot on a 15 minute drive from the restaurant to its final resting spot! Nancy’s has takeout or delivery, but isn’t particularly cheap. Our medium(that we picked up) was $ 21-something(maybe«premium» toppings?) Overall though, a good choice; go to Nancy’s and get your piece of the pie!
