We started our first child at language stars when she was 1 year old and we have now been going there for 8 years. Friendly, professional people work here. We have never had an issue with administrative staff or teachers. Everything is explained in detail and they are very accommodating with academic year schedules and summer schedules as well as arranging payment plans and explaining what everything costs and when it needs to be paid. I would be very skeptical of anyone giving this business one star.

I sent my son there for the Spanish class. The teachers are fine but their administrative staff are not responsible at all. I signed up a summer session and paid the full amount, but they claimed I only paid the deposit instead and over charged me $ 190. I disputed the charge with them but they refused to refund me. I threw away the receipt when I signed up the class so I didn’t have any proof that I overpaid. It was very upsetting. I had been taking my son there for a few session already. But now, no way I’m going back there. It’s not the only place offering language classes. If you do send your kids there, make sure you know how much you are paying and watch out for the deposit trick.

Language Stars is an amazing organization in that its sole purpose is to create multilingual children. They offer Mandarin, French, Spanish, Italian, and German for children up to 10 years old. They offer one free trial class to see if you and your child would be interested in how they teach the language. All teachers are native speakers and speak only in the language your child is studying. They have a parent and tot program(1 year — 3 years) that is offered for 1 hour a week. At first, we thought that an hour would be too long; however, after taking advantage of the free class, we realized that it was the perfect amount of time. We recently signed up our 9 month old for the French lessons. He has already had 3 lessons. His teacher, Matthew, is entertaining and effective. I am re-learning my French and I’m able to take what he teaches in the classroom home with us and reinforce it throughout the week. Matthew breaks up the hour so that my son is always engaged. Already, he has gone over farm animals, emotions, numbers, colors, family and reading. He infuses music with singing and instruments. There is snack time and during this time he reinforces common phrases, numbers and conversation. He encourages the parents to speak French during the hour and helps us if we have difficulties. The center’s director, Oscar, is helpful and caring. He explains important information regarding expectations, billing, and class rules. He is positive and wants to ensure your satisfaction with the program.

For the money you can’t find a better language immersion program for kids — not sure you actually can find one anyway out here. My son goes 4 times per week, and for the whole school year it was not that expensive. The teachers are all native speakers, some professionals prior to joining staff, and they all are amazing with the kids. The offer German, Mandarin, Spanish, French we are in the Spanish program and very satisfied, my son comes home singing songs in Spanish.
