This place is stunning. A wonderful stop to stretch on a long drive or even better, grab a picnic bench for lunch!

Every time we come to the island we stopped here. Bring a camera, lunch and relax. Best to stop by thru the week and let the locals have it on the weekends. Water is rough so no swimming. Interesting history of the sugar, the dilapidated pier and 1946 tsunami that hit here. If your a geocacher you will find a cache nearby.

Just took a couple of pics the first day we arrived. Had no perspective yet on all the BI has to offer. Several locals set up shop here and were enjoying the park. Posted a couple of pics but that is all we did here.

Stopped here on our way to Punalu beach. We didnt stay long, we just took a few pictures on the black rocks and a huge tree. We seen locals ahving a bbq there so I guess its more of a local family spot.

We stopped here to take some pictures and they came out beautiful. Great scenery, I even put my feet in the water and it was cold but refreshing. We didn’t stay long but got to take some pretty pictures of the black rocks and the beautiful huge tree(not sure what type it is)

My wife and I found this place as we were driving to the volcano park from Kona. The views are nice but the water got a little rough so you definitely don’t want to be too close to the water if your climbing on the rocks. Seemed like there were plenty of locals there, many people camping out in tents. All in all a decent place to stop and stretch your legs.

This is a little locals place to check out the sea from atop lava cliffs. Lots of people traversing rocks, fishing, napping on lawn chairs, bbq-ing. Quiet and uneventful in a fulfilling way.
