This has to have been the best meal I’ve had in a while! I got the Crispy Hainanese Chicken which was perfectly crispy and not too greasy. The rice served underneath was so delicious that my husband kept sneaking forkfuls! My husband ordered the Beef Hor Fun Noodles which was so delicious that he had to finish it! I tried a few bites and I might order it the next time we go. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was out rather quickly. I don’t understand why people think the prices are high as they are on the low end for that area of Mystic(tourist area means higher prices). I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal.

Red Curry take out vs Panang takeout tonight. Unfortunately, no noticeable curry difference except for high salt level in the Panang and indistinguishable from each other, even with vegs. We covet great Thai curry and have had the real deal in the East. I don’t expect that, but expect more. Overall not bad, but more amateurish than above average. Nice looking place and people seemed pleasant. Perhaps just need more attention to recipes.

Went for lunch midweek, winter. Very friendly and attentive staff, and HUGE lunch portions. We each had an app — spring rolls and green papaya salad and both were generous and very good. Salad was easily a meal, or could’ve been split between two or even three people. Entrees were dinner sized. Our curry was delicious and filled the plate-took about half home with us. Pink Basil special was very good, and almost finished. Would like to try it for dinner. Loved the selection of local(both CT and NE selections) beer, both bottle and draft. A nice-sized restaurant with plenty of space to move around and get seated quickly at least at this time of year. Nice to have a new place to go-I hope they do well there. Very easy on/off of I-95. If you like Thai or Asian fusion, skip the other obvious Mystic choices and don’t bother trying to park downtown, just swing off the exit and then back on in no time.

Great experience. Friendly staff. Classy location and wonderful Phở. Nothing beats it on a cold February day.

Fantastic service, pleasant atmosphere, the pot stickers are perfect and the food is delicious and spot on. I had the Hot Thai BBQ, a really tasty steak dish, and I tried some of my dinner partner’s Pad Thai dish. Both were amazing and I look forward to trying more of the menu. The waiter we had was pleasant and extremely attentive. The restaurant is located in Old Mystic Village and would make a perfect place for lunch during a day of shopping, browsing or duck feeding.

Sitting here for over 20 min after we finished our food waiting for our bill, and we are glaring at the wait staff as they stand around talking and not coming to take out empty plates. The food is amazing, this is the second time I’ve come and the drinks and the food are good. Our waitress gave us our menus and never came back the bartender ended up waiting on us and the waitress never came back to our table even though there were only 3 other tables seated at the resultant right now. Still haven’t gotten our bill. Service sucks! Follow up: the bill was $ 53. I have two gift cards one for $ 25 and one for $ 50 waitress comes back with $ 1 left on one and $ 19 left on the other. In what universe does that make any sense? Max one out and put the rest on the other!!! There is no system ever that would force it to work out that way she was the worst waitress ever! The two stars was for the food only. I am normally the biggest tipper ever I’ve been know to tip anywhere between 30% and 50% but she got zero I’ve never had such bad service ever.

This restaurant is run by the same people as Thai Sawasdee in Groton. I’ve had their food there so I knew what to expect from Pink Basil. I ordered my usual, pad Thai, four stars(that’s supposed to be extra spicy.) What I received was a pad Thai that was almost as good as what they serve at Thai Sawasdee but just more expensive. It tasted OK but was kind of bland, definitely not four star spice. I figured the inflated price was a reflection of their new Mystic location but I cannot account for the lack of flavor. I would rather drive a few minutes more to their old location in Groton and save a few bucks then spend more for the same(or worse) food with a Mystic price tag.

Affordable and you get large satisfying portions. They have really good appetizers, you should try them all out especially if you are in a group. We had about 10 people or so in our group, and everyone enjoyed their entrée. My plate was clean and i had a curry based entrée.

Surprisingly this place is tucked in the Old Mistick Village area and it may be hard to find at first. We were fortunate enough to stumble upon this place and today was our second time. Amazingly awesome quality Thai food. All of the vegetables in our two noodle dishes(which you order spicy based on 1−2−3−4, etc.) were incredibly fresh. The waitress, her name escapes me, was very friendly to our little girl and even made her some chop sticks that made it easier for her to eat. Recommendation: Park in the back of the village towards I95.

Love the ramen, pad Thai very delicious, everything is good. 4 stars! Just takes too long to get your food! Went to lunch a few times here with colleagues, it’s been a consistent 2 hour lunches! Not worth losing job over. Better to come here when you have no plans, retired, on vacation, not hungry or just like to wait because that’s what you will be doing, you will be waiting.

Tasty Thai Red Curry– 2 Rated spice level was fine for someone who eats spicy on the occasion. Just a bit pricey if you want to order Phở(its around $ 12).

We ordered pot stickers and chicken satay for appetizers, and cashew nut, shrimp drawbridge fried rice, pad Thai, and a chicken basil noodle dish for entrees. All six at the table thought the food was outstanding and would go back again. The staff was both friendly and attentive.

New Favorite Restaurant in mystic! Was completely off my radar since it’s located in touristy mystic village. Spent some time researching restaurants for restaurant week, and Pink Basil was a on it, ordered off menu rather than the restaurant week menu and just am in love with this place! Best part, it’s located on the outer perimeter of the village so parking is a snap! Eat here, it’s clean, delicious authentic Thai. Truly new favorite spot! A great Sunday adventure!

Let me just make this sweet and short. It’s a must go to place! They make all of the sauces and dressings from scratch. The food is amazing! The service is fast and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Looking for outdoor seating? They have it! Want the air conditioner? No problem! The inside is beautiful. A GREAT Mystic dining experience!!!

I was so excited when I learned that this place was opening a location in Mystic. I finally was able to give it a try tonight and I did not leave disappointed. The atmosphere and ambiance is wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is superb. I had the pink basil noodles with shrimp(which is their version of drunken noodles) and it was fabulous. I also had 2 of their specialty sushi rolls and was very pleased. The sushi was made fresh to order by their on-site sushi chef. It was great. They also have two outdoor patios you could choose to dine on. One patio has seating right up to the sushi bar, the other has seating right up to the beverage bar. Great new place!!!
