We have rented from Surfside for a several years. Every year it seems like the «extra» non optional fees go up. They charge extra $ 145 fee for houses called a peace of mind fee and a $ 30 resort fee. This is a lot more than Dunes or Seaside charge. Also, last year (2015) we had problems with the pool not being cleaned before we moved in, then the guy came to clean it (a couple days later) and left it on back flush so it drained down to about a foot. They said that the owners had their own pool guy. Took several hours to get someone back there to fix it.

So Katie made a bad situation worse, but Travis totally fixed everything! Ended up having a great stay in a beautiful house.

Rented «A Carolina Sunset» from Surfside Realty for a week’s stay for July 19^th 2014. From the time we arrived at the property we had ongoing issues
1. Pool was not cleaned. There was constant debris in the pool from clogged filters and the pool not circulating water. Plants overhung the pool deck and created a huge mess. Pool was later cleaned, but not on schedule. Pool also has several damaged areas which caused stubbed toes, etc.
We also had to request that two large areas of poison oak be removed from the landscape area around the pool. Luckily the fella taking care of the pool was not allergic.
2. Golf cart included in rental was not on site as promised and had to be phoned about before being delivered the next day. Golf cart broke down multiple times and would not go faster than 13mph.
3. Grills advertised were not on site until requested. Then, once called for a grill was delivered.
4. Entire unit was FILTHY and has not been cleaned in a very long time. Carpets were nasty, tiles broken and dirty, banisters dirty, table dirty, ceiling coated in dust, all vents coated in dust, and a dirty diaper was found under a bed. We cleaned the unit for several hours upon our arrival.
5. The unit is run down and needs maintenance. Appliances are not in good shape, tape on fridge shelves, half of shelves missing, toaster broken, tvs old, furniture stained and water marked, bedding old and tattered.
6. Spoke to «neighbors» multiple times and they were having similar issues with a non working dryer, slow internet, an unclean pool etc.
