4.5 stars, but I’ll lean towards 5 as an overall experience. We went for sushi. It just happened to be happy hour. Edamame, baked mussels sushi rolls and sashimi. All were great! Especially for the pricing! My spicy salmon roll seemed to be mostly rice, but I won’t hold one roll against them. Saki, wine and beer were cheap because of the specials! There was a greasy film on some things on the table due to the hibachi and the tough job of keeping the hibachi grills properly vented. I won’t hold it against them but again, there is no reason why they can’t set the tables RIGHT before they open, since I’m assuming the table settings were sitting awhile. All in all… good sushi, good prices, nice service, good ambiance.

Took the family here tonight because the kids were in the mood for a teppanyaki experience. While the food was OK(not great, but OK), the whole experience came off as lackluster. I realize that lots of these places leave something to be desired in terms of ventilation, but this place was particularly stuffy and stale. I seriously had to take a second shower when I got back to the hotel after eating here — it was THATBAD! The other issue I have is that some of the teppanyaki chefs were clearly better than others, and unfortunately our table had one of the less exciting ones. He made a small effort at being funny/entertaining, but he was seriously eclipsed by his colleagues. While the food came out OK, part of this type of eating is usually the ‘show’. Lastly — pricing was a bit steep. Almost all adult entrees are $ 20 or more. And when I handed the payment to the waitress taking care of the check, I heard those words that I totally HATE from a restaurant — «Do you need some change?» Of COURSE I need change! Why wouldn’t I? Anyway — overall experience was not great. It was barely ‘OK’. But we ended up getting a fair amount of food that was cooked in a passable fashion, but certainly not up to the pricing that we paid. I doubt that I will be heading back to Nakato.

**this review is about their sushi, not their hibachi.** Awful. If you want decent sushi, save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. My dad and I ordered 3 rolls of sushi and it was tasteless. There was so much rice and very little filling; the rice to filling ratio was actually ridiculous. All we could taste was the rice… We pretty much paid ~$ 35 to eat rice… Service was not great, at all. I don’t even know who our waiter/waitress was? I had to flag down workers near the area when we needed something.

My son is a big Japanese Steakhouse fan and we always try to plan one dinner while on vacation. We have been to many Japanese steakhouses across many states and Nakato always delivers! Food is fresh and delicious and the the chefs are skilled and entertaining. This location is no exception!

A good option for Hibachi in an area packed full of Japanese Hibachi Locations, I have visited multiple times and the service is good and food is on par with any of the other Hibachi Style steakhouses in town. Go for the early bird special and enjoy some sake!
