Me and my family went to Maggi D’s thinking we would have authentic Italian food and a good experience, but it was horrible. Owner was rude and arrogant acting, kept going over to everybody else’s tables asking them how their food was except us. Our waiter was a young punk that had as much personality as the wall. His phone kept ringing when he waited on us and he even went to the kitchen to check it as if checking his phone was more important than waiting on us. My family member got pasta fagioli and said if she had wanted pork and beans that she could have just had some at home. If that’s authentic pasta fagioli I feel bad because it’s a mockery of real Italian food. Was charged way too much for my alcoholic beverage was puny and watered down. Our waiter kept chit chatting at the bar and didn’t care about our refills. Will not be back. Way overpriced for what we were served, save yourself the disappointment and actually go to real authentic Italian restaurants in the area like Valentino’s 2 might be a little drive, but the food is so much better, you have a friendlier atmosphere, waiters that actually care about you and AUTHENTICITALIANFOOD.

We came with a large group of people from our neighborhood last evening for dinner. The food was delicious — calamari cooked perfectly(we use calamari appetizers as a benchmark for restaurant food quality since you can’t do it mediocre; it’s either good or bad). Our neighbors and we ordered different dishes and no one was disappointed. Desserts were fabulous! The wait staff were attentive and John made us feel welcome from the moment he greeted us at the door to his checking by our table to insure everything was to our liking. As locals, having good restaurants is important. We’ll be back often!!!

Best Italian food I’ve ever had!!! Very fresh and flavorful. I had Chicken Parmesan and my girlfriend had Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and she said it’s the bed she’s ever had. We finished off the meal with Tiramisu. Amazing!

Tried this place because of the reviews; I’m very glad I did. The service was excellent, and the food was authentic and well-prepared. I couldn’t finish my portion of chicken parmigiana; it was a massive amount of food. Overall, I was impressed with the atmosphere and the food. I’d recommend this place.

Absolutely the best meal we had while in Myrtle Beach! Everything was AMAZING! The gnocchi was cooked perfectly, every sauce the party i was with had, said was it fantastic! My Italian husband even said the pasta Fagoli was better then his grandmothers. The owner is a good old jersey Italian boy that came& said hello & makes a KILLER cannoli!

A returning customer to Maggi D’s for the early bird specials, I was extremely dissapointed with this visit. Upon ordering the Chicken French, I waited 25 minutes for my meal. When the chicken arrived it looked appealing but had a strong egg taste to it and you could see the heavy fried egg off the side of the chicken. When the owner asked how everything was, I politely told him it was sub par and had a very strong egg taste to it. He proceeded to arrogantly inform me, «well that’s chicken french.» I understand chicken french is cooked with an egg batter but you should not taste it. There were two other chicken french dishes on the table that were not consistent with a strong egg taste, they were very good. After preparing another and bringing it over, there was a lack of flavor to the sauce and the chicken had an extremely strong buttery flavor with crispy edges as if it had been dropped in the frialator briefly to assure a quick reservice. I was extremely dissapointed with the restaurant and the way this situation was handled. I am awarding three stars because past experiences have been enjoyable.

Very very good! We had the mac and cheese bites for an appetizer and grilled chicken caprese for dinner. The food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. We also loved our waitress and the very friendly guy(owner?) who bounced around from table to table greeting people, as well as clearing tables. We will definitely be visiting here again!

Outstanding food! Very clean, easy location, plenty of parking, owner greets everyone and seemed to be very genuine and welcoming. I can’t say enough about the food… Literally lick your plate clean! You might be thinking why not 5 stars?! Waitress couldn’t remember beers on draft, specials, didn’t know about the meal in general and seemed to be on something… She was there but wasn’t there if ya get my drift. Would love to go back! But get a different waitress! :)

Wow! We came here with our local family and the food is fantastic. From the baked bruschetta to the meatballs, baked ziti, sausage with peppers and onions, and tiramasu and cheesecake. It was all so great. John the owner was great and waitress Kristen was great.

This is a favorite on my trips to MB. I have gotten the eggplant parmesan, riggatoni and John’s special chicken/eggplant dish. My family gets the chicken picatta and/or the salmon and I always have a taste. Everything is beyond fantastic. The owner is usually behind the bar(where we sit) and is always very helpful on the dishes. He is most gracious and customer service rules here.

This is the second time we have been here while on vacation during bike week. We are from New York so we are always prepared to be disappointed by Italian food… This place is terrific! I’m giving this place three stars because I think the sauce could’ve been more saucy and less meaty. Also the flavor was just ok. I ordered gluten free pasta with bolognese and side salad. I can cook bolognese a lot better than this to say the least. Overall the food was just ok to me. I’ve tasted way better Italian food. Let’s just say, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. But the owner seemed really nice and definitely seems like someone who probably has a big Jersey type of personality. The good thing is because I ordered gluten free pasta, I didn’t feel stuffed at all. But that’s why gluten free is really good for you to eat. Also I think they could’ve put more bread with the meal, considering I ordered a full order of pasta. The bread was actually really good and crusty like I like it because I don’t eat the inside, only the crust. So that was my favorite part.

Only one complaint from me– it was so good I ate until my stomach hurt! I shared the fettucine alfredo with my daughter, and three of us at my table thought it was the best we ever had. We also shared the stuffed shells and all thought they were delicious. The bruschetta was great, with fresh tomatoes, onions, and lots of garlic! And the homemade desserts– to die for!!! We shared the cannoli, chocolate cannoli, cheescake, and some kind of gelato dish which were all awesome. Even the waiter was great and had excellent answers to our questions. And we couldn’t see any empty tables, on a Monday night.

Owner with an attitude! Really if he gets upset when someone questions a bill not the place I want to spend my hard earned money. Service sucked waited over an hour for our entrée. Disappointed!

Looking for ‘real’ Italian food in Myrtle Beach? This is the place to go. Everything is fresh and made to order. The owner greets everyone at the door, and works the floor all night, so you know everything is going to be 100%. Don’t forget dessert. The cannoli was very, very good, and the cheesecake is probably the best I have ever experienced!
