Great little country diner with great food. Don’t expect anything fancy or you will be sorely disappointed but if you are looking for good down home cooking this is the place. My wife and I ate there on the recommendation of some friends and we were definitely impressed with the food. It was early breakfast time with lots of diners and there was only one waitress but she was amazing. Took our order quickly, got our drinks right out and made sure we always had refills. I had a standard breakfast, eggs, bacon, hashbrown, biscuits and sausage gravy. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful the biscuit was. My wife got a breakfast sandwich and I can’t remember what all was on it but it was HUGE and delicious as well. Our friends asked if we tried the trashcan, which we didn’t, and they said we missed out on their best breakfast dish. I won’t make that mistake a second time.

Hole in the wall Off the beaten path No frills Could miss it in the blink of an eye… I could go on and on but all I have to say is WOW! Friendly service and although I only had one meal — the chili cheese burger w/fries, it was the best I’ve ever had. All I can say — thanks to our waitress Toni!

Love this place! I get the trashcan and end up having breakfast for days! It even comes with a side of biscuits and gravy which you can have boxed to go when you place your order because you’ll never finish all of it.

Are looks deceiving or what. I read the reviews and didn’t think they would hold up. BOY I WASWRONG. Where do I start? Friday’s all you can eat for catfish is a rip off. Order the 3 pc instead you won’t be able to finish it. The Burgers and fries would put all other upstart burger chains to shame. Everything is outstanding. Sure the place looks old but who cares. I will always always stop here. This is the second best place to eat in the whole entire state. ENJOY!!!

Paul’s Diner has been around for awhile and happily serving the locals in Muskogee. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s all pretty good. The Catfish Dinners on Friday nights are delicious and finding a seat or parking spot is hard to come by. They also have other specials throughout the week such as spaghetti, meatloaf, steak, and other specials that may change from time to time. It’s all home cooked meals. Why just 3 stars then? The waiters and staff could use some help. Some of the waitresses are use to wearing short shorts and way too tight or small t-shirts. And I’m not talking Hooters or Twin Peaks restaurant type of waitresses. Their stomachs are sometimes coming out from under the shirts or hanging over the aprons. A 60+ year old female cook came out of the kitchen wearing a tank-top and no bra. Not exactly a sight I want to see as I’m eating dinner, or something ANYBODY should see in a restaurant. Let alone, from a staff member or owner. Take a little pride in what you do. The food is fine, but like I said, my wife and I are not real interested in having our food served by a tank-top wearing bra-less 60 year old.

When they created the show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, this had to be the place they had in mind. This little out of the way country diner is a true hidden gem. If you are hungry, go to Paul’s. You won’t be hungry for a week afterward. Their Trash Can Scrambler is their signature dish, and is amazing. The biscuit is the biggest that I have ever seen, and you could patch sheet-rock with the sausage gravy. The staff is engaging and treats you like family.(the family that they like) Don’t be fooled by the drive-up. One visit, and this will be your favorite.

This place was so great as far as service is concerned. It reminded me of a nice small-town place where everybody knows your name. Our waitress was really nice and told us about the azalea festival and chili cook off, which was great because we’re from out of town. My only complaint was that my burger was very bland and dry — but the service was so great, it made up for it.

I guess you have to be from Muskogee to appreciate this place. I went to Paul’s because everyone I met in Muskogee said I had to go there and be sure I ordered the famous trashcan, a gigantic mix of every breakfast ingredient you can think of, covered in white gravy. It’s a rather bland mish-mash that might be awesome if you’re drunk at 2:00 am, but the place doesn’t open until hours later. That really is the only time this mess is edible. It is served with«biscuit and gravy». The biscuit is a gigantic, hand-sized, who-knows-what. Not a flaky biscuit, but I guess it does the trick if you are starving. The gravy is a little pasty but otherwise okay. I will say you will find friendly service, affordable prices, but mediocre to kind of lousy food. I had the chicken and dumplings special for dinner one night and it was thick, bland and tasted from a can. There is a smoking room attached to the main dining hall and the smoke permeates the whole place. Hard to walk out of that place not smelling of smoke. And don’t look too closely around. It looks like the place hasn’t been cleaned in ages. The pecan pie is okay, the Mississippi mud pie is pretty good, but not worth the drive out to the remote location. Hey, I’m all about greasy spoon diners and dives. All about it. But this place is not a hidden gem. There are much better breakfast and lunch options in Muskogee, and far better dinner options.

I went to Paul’s on the recommendation of a local who said«It’s just good ol’ food.» This is a place you’re not likely to find unless you know where you’re going. It’s worth the trouble to find it. Paul’s is just a very non descript looking little diner, but it has a lot to offer! First off, an exceptionally varied menu. All sorts of breakfast goodies, burgers and sandwiches of many kinds, dinner plates and specials to please anybody. The specials this evening were spaghetti or chicken and dumplings. I almost went with the chicken and dumplings because it’s one of my all time favorites. But when I asked my server what was good, she recommended I try the«Trashcan» which is a breakfast skillet dish they are known for. I went for it. She asked if I wanted toast or a biscuit… when I wavered, she said«You want to go with the biscuit, believe me.» I went with that, too. I started with a cup of chili… very good. Much better than average for restaurant chili. That Trashcan was wonderful… I won’t begin to try to list all that was in it… but trust me, it works. Be hungry, because it’ll hit you like a brick. I only ordered the medium, but it was huge. But what blew me away was the biscuit. It was the size of a hamburger bun(top AND bottom). And not some jr burger… a big burger. This is literal, folks, not hyperbole. I wanted to take a photo, but my phone had crapped out. What’s more, it wasn’t just its size that was impressive… it was really, really good. Crumbly, just like my grandmother used to make… and light. The servers were great… my glass was never empty, and I got my food in record time. And super, super friendly. Look, the place is kind of dumpy, the seats a little worn, the Formica a bit sticky. If you’re looking for a hoity toidy place, this isn’t it. But If you want some good, stick to your ribs food, come here. P.S…the customers there were REAL nice families and adults… not like those idiots I encountered at the Okie Steak House the evening before.

If you live in Florida, drive here to eat. If you live in Los Angeles. Drive here to eat. If you live in the Continent of North or South America, drive here to eat. It is simply Diner food at its best. Staff always goes out of their way to make you smile. It’s nothing fancy, just small town hospitality at its grandest. My favorite place. I promise it will make you want to be an Okie from Muskogee.

Paul’s diner is one of those places you wouldn’t expect to be good but is! First off I will say they really need a remodel, out front and inside, as the conditions are a bit drab to say the least. The food is the bomb! It’s always quickly served and hot. Best of all it’s delicious! The catfish is a no brainier, always cooked well and very tasty. Prices are great and the service is great too. Last couple times I went in there was some weirdo in a knee brace who really needs to keep his mouth shut, what a joke of a person.

I have recently moved away and I just love this little place. I have so many memories of having great food and times in a country down home type of restaurant. This type of place totally embodies what I love about Muskogee Oklahoma and the midwest in general.

Wooooooooow!!! Went to Muskogee for the day to visit some friends, and they introduced us to this little gem. The food was AMAZING. Down home cookin’, greasy-spoon, huge portions, good prices kind of place. And what a menu!!! They offer just about anything, and from talking with other patrons, there’s not much they don’t do well. I’m not a huge gravy fan, but this place has a mean biscuit & gravy and the biscuits are huge! Loved them! And for those of you that care, there’s a smoking section in the back. But not too worry, it’s completely separate so you’d never know it was there in the non-smoking section. I was so stuffed, I didn’t buy any of the baked goodies they had for sale on the way out, but those cakes and cup cakes all looked wonderful. This place is about 50 minutes from my house, but I will be driving there for breakfast one Saturday morning soon — it was THAT good!

Good ol’ greasy spoon! Food is cooked to order and they have a separate smoking section. Typically diner foods personally love breakfast.
