Great place for a hot dog or brat. Fast and friendly service. You can eat inside or outside. The Texas dog was very good and not spicy at all. Very good root beer floats!

They handed my food to another couple that was sitting across from me and it went right back to the counter and when they went to bring me my food I asked the waitress to please remake it or refund my money due to the fact that the other waitress handed my order to the other couple that was sitting across from me and I even asked the gentleman if he had the wrong order after he opened up the food and he said yes and he described what I ordered the waitress went back and put it on the open counter and when my fries were up they grab the packages and brought them out to me This was the only negative thing about the place the food was good but I didn’t like the idea of them have another customer open my food and trying to reserve it to me

Since writing my previous review, I’ve stopped eating meat so I wasn’t frequenting max n Marley’s as often. Being one of the few restaurants in Muskegon open for lunch on memorial day, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in before I had to work. To my delight & surprise they had added veggie dogs to their menu! You can get any of the gourmet dogs on their menu now with a meatless dog. I was so excited! Probably sounds gross but it tasted the same to me. I couldn’t tell the difference! So happy to be able to enjoy a ripper & nacho«dog» again. Thank you max & Marley’s for making me one happy and full vegetarian. Oh and the fries ARE my favorite. What a stupid thing I said before ;) it’s easy to be vegetarian with these expanding choices in my hometown. Yum!

Great service and great food! I came in today and as soon as I walked in my son threw up all over me, the carpet, and everywhere else. This happened before I could order, and both the owner and employee were very helpful! They said not to worry about the huge mess my son made, then directed me to the bathroom so I could clean up my son. I couldn’t believe how gracious they were even after we made such a bad mess. I’ll definitely be back, if not for the service, than for the awesome hot dogs!!!

This place is awesome. 4 of us ate for $ 27…6 hot dogs, 1 hamburger, 3 orders of fries and 1 chili cheese fries. Everything was perfect!

Get some good dogs you know the ones with natural casings. Ball park dogs just don’t have the snap. Won’t be back

Hot was really great and we have had their hamburgs before but today a lot of gristle and over cooked. It’s a nice setting. Their homemade cactus chili was awesome.

Great food and friendly wait staff. The prices are reasonable. A large selection of hot dogs, burgers, and sandwiches. Not a lot of seating inside. When the weather is warmer there are tables outside. Just off the lake.

This place is great! I’m a vegetarian and order the hotdogs without the actual hotdog, they often times will replace the hotdog with a pickle slice, which, was surprising and greatly appreciated. I can only speak for the Chicago Dog, but, I’m sure you’ll find something you like as they have tons of options including multiple specials — and the price is right! I always bring out of towners who visit here and they’re always impressed.

I’ve eaten here a good amount and everything is always fresh, made to order and hot. The food is reasonably priced. The special comes with two dogs(was told on my last visit they can be mixed and matched but I’ve never tried it) and a lot of fries. If anything I wish maybe the fries were a little more seasoned but they’re always hot and fresh and come with black pepper and salt. The burgers are pretty good but only come a la carte. You’re looking at 46 bucks for a meal before drinks. The chili cheese fries are GOOD!

It might be a good place to eat but I’ll never know. I went here with some friends and they only had one person at the counter and serving. We sat there for 20 minutes without so much as getting a drink order taken while she tended to other people. We just got up and left. I’ll update this if and when I go back.

This little find was a treat for any hot-dog lover to experience, from location to the menu’s offerings. One Nacho dog: a topping of Spicy salsa, jalapeño’s and a Tex Mex cheese just smeared from tip to tail. One Ripper O dog: Deep fried hot-dag with a in house special relish. I decided to order a hamburger as well and went with the Lumberjack: A Muskegon classic. Bacon, melted American and Swiss cheese with a bold sized, deep fried and crispy onion ring set atop of the 1⁄8 oz(approximately) beef patty. I think that a smaller beef patty allows for the taste of the other portions of the burger to taste more harmoniously. The Vanilla shake to close out the lunch and all is well with the world again.

Oh my goodness! The closest thing to heaven on earth for hot dog lovers in the Muskegon area is Max N Marley’s Dog House! This small family-owned hot dog stand(which is the way all proper hot dog joints should look) always has a line of people eagerly waiting to purchase nirvana in a bun. And for good reason. They have a great selection and variety of high-quality hot dog styles. From the Ripper(deep-fried until it rips open) to the Gyro dog(hot dog with gyro meat and gyro goodness on a pita bread) to the pastrami dog you can’t get a better hot dog for a better price! If you like Chicago hot dogs they’ve got you covered. But no matter what you need to order a Ripper. Not sure what they put in their relish but it is awesome! I always get the Ripper along with another menu choice. They have weekly special dogs that are always worth a try. Limited seating on the inside and park bench seating on the outside. Best place to eat and people watch.

I went into this place twice. One with my best friend and the other with my lady. Both times I got treated with good service and great food. The environment was pretty good on both days as well. Fresh chili for the dogs which is great, much better than the G&L chili dogs in all of our opinions. They also have a much wider selection to choose from. Slower service to get the dogs though, go on a slower time of the day and it isn’t to bad. Mostly young girls working there, and the old man owner. For those who care.

Was driving down the street on the way to enjoy my lunch by the beach when I noticed Max N Marley’s on the North side of the road. Looked it up on Unilocal when I git back to work and happy to find at least one review… not surprising since they only opened recently. Great service for my take-out order if not a little slow, but fine considering everything is made to order and there were quite a few people there. I always order a Chicago dog if offered just to see how it is handled(and if done properly). MnM doesn’t dissapoint. I would give them a point off for not having a top split poppyseed bun, but I certainly don’t expect a «typical» hot dog place to carry those unless they plan on offering them on all of their dogs. Tried their standard dog with special relish… deep fried dog is great. Classic crinkle cut fries. The meal deal includes two dogs, fries and a drink for under $ 5(maybe more depending on the type of dog you order)…an incredible bargain in my book. I may even go back tomorrow just to try their special dog of the week… the Rodeo Dog… some sort of Mexican concoction that sounded too good to be true. The menu is extensive, so I’m sure I’ll be back to try the wide variety of dogs in the future. Great job.
