Rustico

We picked up food from this restaurant and it was delicious! The Caesar salad could use some work though… They added some sort of flavor that just doesn’t go with it. Other than that the food was very good!

Just left this place. We stood at the entrance and all the workers just kept walking past us. We never got seated stood there dos 10 minutes until we decided to leave. There was plenty of staff to have seated us but nope nobody helped.

I came to Rustico today and ordered gnocchi. Seeing as I’m a vegetarian, I am very particular about my food and understand that sometimes things are cooked with meat. I asked our server, Maria, if there was meat in the sauce used for the gnocchi and she said «no». Fast forward to getting my food… As I’m eating it, I put a huge chunk of meat in my mouth and asked the server about it. She was great about it, she went as far as making a new bowl with me, but by the time I got it, I was too freaked out by my original experience and was not trusting of the new food so I asked that I not be charged for the meal. She without any hesitation said it was no problem– she would not charge me. That being said, I’m only giving this place 3 stars because of her; she was very diligent in making sure the problem was fixed. However, i’m incredibly disappointed with her lack of knowledge of the menu… vegetarians, make sure you ask very specific questions if you’re going to eat here.

This is one of my favorite spots to eat at! I love Italian food, and they do not disappoint. Their complementary bread with dipping oil is the best I’ve ever had… I would go just to eat their bread. I’ve been happy with everything I have ordered, and the service is always quick and friendly. One time, they even decorated our cheesecake to look like Mickey Mouse… very cute touch.

Wonderful casual dining restaurant. Quite and enjoyable atmosphere. All of the waiters/​waitresses are very friendly and answer any questions about the menu. Drinks and food are served in a timely manner.
All of the menu items I’ve ordered have been very tasty! Several dishes such as lasagna can be ordered for two!

My expectations for this place were heightened by personal recommendations. Sorry to say, it did not live up to those expectations.
It’s a nice place in a mini mall, on the very eastern edge of Murrieta on the northern side of Temecula. It is not a fancy place, but it looks like a great place to watch a ball game or go for happy hour, if I lived in the area.
Anna was our waitress and was okay. I ordered a ravioli dish. Very bland. My wife ordered a soup with meatballs and vegetables. She did not care for the meat. I tasted the cubes of potatoes and they were way too hard.
In all fairness, others seemed to enjoy their meals. If I ever return, it will have to be pizza. Nothing too complicated.

Love family owned companies his food and service are 5 stars all the way. All the food I’ve had had been really good.

Worst service ever took over an hour to get seated then another 40 mins just to get a menu because supposedly the chef was backed up on orders food was great but service horrible will never come back.

Always good food and service! We eat there almost every moth and have never had a bad experience!

I’ve eaten at Rustico a few times and the first time (a few years ago) I wasn’t impressed with the food. I ate there about a week ago and whoever they hired to cook definitely knew what they are doing. The chicken piccata, baked ziti, and pizza (thin crust, canadian bacon) were all flavorful and delicious. The wait staff was also friendly and attentive.

It was my family and I’s first time here tonight and we were celebrating my birthday — we had a great experience!
The service was great, the food tasted fresh, and the overall restaurant was nice — even the bathroom! Our server James was very helpful and friendly, kept our drinks refilled without us having to ask, and offered us a free cannoli for my birthday! We forgot to ask if they offered Military discount and he was still able to do so without showing any means of trouble or frustration. Thank you again to James!
The spacing and vibe of the restaurant is a little more on the intimate side but still a comfortable setting.
If you’re craving for good, filling Italian food, this is a great place to go. (:

This is a great spot to grab lunch. The homemade bread is absolutely delicious, the caprese salad is one of my favorite things to get, as well as the bruschetta. The pasta dishes are always delicious as are the sandwiches. My favorite sandwich is the sausage and peppers. Service is always great when we go, but we have only ever been there at lunch time when it is not busy.

I live within a block of Rustico and my wife and I use to love it. We went there Saturday night and had James as our waiter. I ordered the gnocchi that I have had many times in the past and was utterly disappointed; the pancetta was burnt and lent a horrible flavor to the dish. When James came by and ask how our food was I let him know it wasn’t so good and that the pancetta was burnt. He literally blew off my concerns and walked away. I couldn’t finish the dish and had a pile of burnt pancetta piled on the side of my plate. In addition the gnocchi weren’t the same, they were dense and hard. To add insult to injury James did nothing to correct my disappointment, he did however take my dish to the cook so he could supposedly confirm it was slightly overdone onion, not burnt pancetta, and relayed this fact as he dropped the full bill on our table.
The fact they’re not cheap, and that James did nothing to correct the disappointment, and that he felt he needed to go out of his way to disprove my sense of taste is the reason why I’m giving Rustico one star… and will not be going back.

It’s a community restaurant. Not the greatest location for Italian food but it’s local with a personable staff. Don’t over do it and order a dish that requires too much skill.
Stick to a pizza or perhaps a «Parmesan» dish.
The Caesar salad is hit or miss. Even on its best day it’s just «ok»
if you’re up for a pizza and some wine it’s worth the stop.

I love this place!!! Always very packed but nice family restaurant. I go there for special occasions since twin of my child are very small and they can get loud so I just go there with my hubby or my friends. I love their pizzas, pastas, basically EVERYTHING I’ve tried so far!!! I can’t wait to go back there and try new stuff!!!

My parents eat here all the time so they decided to show me what the fuss was all about. As soon as we came in we were promptly greeted and sat. Our server Ruchir was a really good server! He was really nice and on it! I’d definitely recommend him.
They start you off with bread and a saucer of oil vinegar and scallions. I could honestly just eat that all night! So good. We started off with the calamari which I’m always picky about texture-​wise but it was really good, not too chewy. For my entrée I had the chicken carciofi. Chicken was nice and moist and tasted so good with the oil, artichoke, and cheese.
Ienjoyed everything about my experience! I’m glad my parents live so close to this place I’ll be coming all the time when I visit them!

I’m not a huge fan of Italian food, but my wife is, so as married people often do, we compromised and got Italian.
We came here on the recommendation of a friend, and left with a sense of ‘meh’
The prices here are simply too high for the type of restaurant it is. The pizza seems like an afterthought, and the pasta just didn’t do it for us either. I will say they had an ok selection of beer, but only one Italian selection… at an Italian place.
It’s almost as if this place doesn’t know what it wants to be… stuck somewhere between fine dining and a sbarro.
Our server was hands down the best part of the entire experience. He was British, I don’t remember his name.

After 6 months of living within walking distance to Rustico, wifey and I finally gave it a shot on Friday for a nice dinner after a very long week.
Waked in close to 8 and was seated right away to our server Anthony. Inside, the place was alive and folks at the bar were having a good time… which is always good to see. Our server Anthony was very friendly and provided great service for us throughout the night. At one point we asked if their bread came out warm since we thought the first portion was a bit cold, and he made sure that the next portion came out super warm and fresh!
We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, Chicken Picatta and another appetizer that I forgot the name of. All of them were okay, but we’ve definitely had much better. In my opinion, all Italian places are overpriced., so in order for me to come back, I REALLY have to be drawn to your food, service, happy hour, etc. For me, it’s a 3.5, but I’m gonna save that last star in case I come back soon!

My husband and I ordered the VEGAN veggie pizza
We were expecting it to have Daiya on it like most vegan pizzas but it came with no cheese which was even better! We did add marinara on the side but the veggies were fresh and crisp and the crust was amazing!

Good family Italian food. Great pizzas and the Sausage Palermo is delicious. Every time we come in my wife gets the Eggplant Parmesan which is her favorite dish. The service here is amazing! They are always so quick to start us with yummy fresh made bread with Olive Oil and balsamic dipping sauce and bring that and drinks «pronto»! They follow the rules of good service and are there to make sure the first taste is satisfactory as well as quickly clearing unwanted dishes when you are done with them. The manners of the servers are impeccable!
I am a fan of good beers and they happen to have Sculpin from Ballast Point on tap which is a huge plus for me. My wife enjoys their iced tea and they always give her one in a «to go» cup at the end of our meal.
The atmosphere at Rustico’s is casual it’s not a date night place, but an awesome place to bring the kids or just a laid back meal with the spouse. The acoustics can be challenging to conversation as on a busy night it can be quite loud. On a slow night it can actually be intimate.
