I am writing regarding an employee at your Murrieta, Ca location. I bought my daughter a pair of sandles last summer. They were too big, but she loved them, so I bought them. They finally fit her over the summer and the first time she wore them, the strap broke. I still had my receipt so I took them to the Murrieta store, where I purchased them, to exchange for another pair. When I went into the store I had a smileless, annoyed greeting from a Jessica(dark hair, heavy eye brow make up). I explained what happened and she immediately got defensive telling me they were worth less than a penny. I explained that they were defective and I had a receipt. She said that there is a 90 day return policy. I explained that the receipt did not say that, nor did the girl who sold them to me knowing they were too big at the time and I would keep them for a while. She than rudely told me shed give me $ 4.99 for them! I told her that I want my full exchange because I had my receipt. She than yelled at me «THEYAREWORN», so I said yes, once and they broke! So she told me «FINE». She asked for my ID and I gave it to her as I filled out the return slip. Before I could even finish she started questioning my last name, I said I’m married and its hyphenated. She made me feel like I was robbing her personal bank account, when all I wanted to do was exchange a broken pair of $ 20 shoes! I was horrified by the costumer service and will not shop there again!

Went yesterday to find a cute pair of shoes for my 7 yr old. The gal working there was extremely helpful and friendly. She showed us several pairs & when we found a pair my daughter loved, she searched to find the perfect fit and color. When we left my daughter told me that the girl that worked there was perfect– had to post!!;)

I was in town for a wedding and needed a pair of loafers ASAP. I googled the nearest payless location. Elaina B. is the store manager and was extremely helpful. She would check on me to make sure I had everything I needed. Customer service was a 10 and she was just so nice and energetic. Anything I needed, Elaina provided. thanks again!
