The food at Red Rock is consistently good, especially the burgers, and that will have you coming back for more. This is a good thing, because there can be a wait for seating(even when you can see that tables are open), and the service during the meal is slow. It’s odd, but no matter which server we have, he/she spends only a split-second at the table before disappearing for long periods of time. We regularly have to flag down somebody else and/or remind our server of something for which we asked. But the food is very good, and we’ll keep coming back for more.

Nice crowd. We left half of our mussel appetizer uneaten. Salads were bland. The mac n cheese were fine. Probably won’t go back. Too bad.

Food was great! The White Rainbow brew was great! Service, not so much. My family and I wanted to have a few rounds of drinks, appetizers, have our entrees, and finish with a drink or dessert. Our waitress seemed to want us out quick and made it hard to enjoy our«time.» The place wasn’t busy so we were confused why she was moving out our plates and giving us the bill so quickly. We wanted to enjoy our time, but felt we should eat to then go elsewhere for drinks and chatting. Although our waitress was thorough, she shooed us right out.

I’m obsessed with this place. I came here tonight for my second time and I’ve been to the Park City location once. I do get where some of the reviews talk about slow service but the restaurant is massive so it probably takes twice as long for the servers to get anywhere, haha. The food does take a minute but I also find comfort in the fact that everything is being MADE not defrosted and all I really know is that if I were to cook it myself it would take all day so… My personal favorite is the rainbow trout with horseradish mashed potatoes. Seriously so good and the portion is huge for only 16 bucks! Tonight I had the mushroom polenta and I wasn’t disappointed. It literally melted in my mouth. I also recommend the beer battered pickles. I could make this review an essay but I think ya’ll get my point. Try it.

We’ve gone here a few times and always have a solid experience. The service is always great and the food is too. It’s high quality standard pub food, so while it might not change your life, it will make for a fantastic meal. The onion rings — oh my! Pretty sure their onion source uses growth hormones on those suckers, because they are gigantic! No complaints about that here! The bottled beers are all great but the draft beers are on the weak/bland side. I did like their Hibernian, though. Overall, this is a solid place for a meal. Good portions and properly cooked everything(i.e., your medium rare steak actually comes out medium rare!).

The service and atmosphere are good. It’s a nice to go when you want to get away for awhile. I was very disappointed with the BBQ Chicken Pizza. I don’t know if the chef was having an off day but there was barely any BBQ sauce. I’d come back but I would stay away from the pizza.

This is a love/hate relationship. I don’t come here often due to the high prices and bad service… although, I am unable to break up with this restaurant due to the unique pub flavors and large portions. So, 3 stars it is. We arrived at red rock at 930 pm on a Saturday evening(if you live in salt lake, you know that after 9 pm… almost all the restaurants close and the pickings become slim). Our service was mediocre. Our waiter seemed to dislike his job and ignored us when we needed something. Our dinner service took around 2 hours(specifically because it took so much time for everything we requested). The food: New York steak: The steak was awesome! It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was well seasoned! The veggies were a frozen veggie mix that was under seasoned. The potatoes gratinee were a huge let down. Not enough cheese and very greasy. We sent them back and asked for the mashed potatoes instead. We were unaware that the mashed potatoes were horseradish potatoes… this was a very unusual combination. Needless to say, we didn’t eat them. The bacon blue cheese burger: The burger was perfectly cooked(medium) and the bacon complimented the blue cheese well. My favorite part of this meal was the fries! They were a unique shape and extra crispy! Overall red rock is hit and miss. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and may not comeback unless there are no other options in the area. Fin’

My wife and I came here on a date. This place has its own brew and the menu took a somewhat original spin on many of its dishes. I really liked that they offered a schnitzel but I ended up ordering their Steak French Dip Sandwich and onion rings. My wife rolled with the Chicken Parm. Both were very good. The sandwich was great I like the way the melted cheese on top of the bread. The onion rings were huge and also very delicious. So why just three stars?! Well the food was definitely the best part of the experience so that really is the most important part of going out except when the service fails hard to step up to half the stride of the foods quality. You see it took so long for them to get us seated,. We quickly are about half our order before asking for a to go box and the bill. We eventually got the boxes but had to sit and wait for way too long to get the bill and neglected to recognize the wait we had taken from there immediately walked away when we were almost just as quick to slip in the card. We continued to wait patiently when she finally came and picked up our ticket and card. Then we waited for her to make all her rounds before finally coming back with the receipt. Despite what we felt was poor service we still left a tip well above 15% but this place really needs to focus more on teamwork within the wait staff and push to increase its ability to provide a service that reflects the type of restaurant its wanting to be. So what should you take away from this? Yes, the food is good and worth gaining your own experience. The atmosphere is nice. Just be aware the service may not meet what you would expect,. Then again my experience with this may have just been a fluke.

I meant to write this from a week ago. We went back, the food was good, but our waiter was arrogant. It ruined the food for me. I won’t say who. He was trying to push smiles and being a little condesending. Something was way off with this guy. Maybe a bad day? Who knows, but I especially didn’t appreciate how he treated my Mom. He’d assume he knew what she was talking about and walked away in her mid sentence everytime she needed something. Thank goodness the time came to leave. We needed our bill split(we told him in the beginning as well but we weren’t sure of he acknowledged it since he seemed to be in a hurry) she never got the chance to finish telling him what food needed to be on who’s bill, because tah dah… he walked off. When he came back she was trying to ask of an appetizer was on her bill. She had to ask before looking because he would have taken off before she could look at the recipet. He picked it up to look while she was trying to explain it to him and he inturrupted her and said«Well then, there you go», and literally flip tossed it onto the table in front of her from over her shoulder. Then flashed some patronizing smile like tryinf to deflect the awkwardness. All I could think was, what is with this guy?! It seriously rubbed me wrong. I won’t be back to this location. 2 of 2 with run-ins with not so friendly people.

The food in this place is amazing for the price. We’ve visited several times over a number of years now. We’ve come to like the Bruschetta appetizer which we think is very unique. We never struggle to find entrée plates on what is generally a great menu. We’ve never had anything we don’t like. If I had one criticism… it’s the noise in the room down at the end. This is a loud room that contains and amplifies. We pointed this out to one who I would guess is the hosting manager or lead(he always seems to be staffing the hosting desk) and for some reason he was very reluctant to reseat us. Not sure why… the correct response of course is not to question but just accommodate. For the record, his argument that it would be the same elsewhere in the restaurant didn’t pan out. It was much quieter in the main room. They should probably learn to not seat large groups in that area — the acoustics just don’t work and the noise seems to comes from the groups who have more diners as they compete to shout over each other at larger tables. There is a very decent range of beers on offer. No complaints there. Really nice bar area for either drinking and ordering at the bar, or pre-seating. I really like the little cove of tables they have in the same area but as I have always attended with family it’s not something I’ve had the chance to try.

We ended up eating here after attempting to get a table at Brio without a reservation on a Saturday and facing a 90 minute wait. The last time we’d eaten here was right after they opened(like 5 or 6 years ago?). It was way better than I remembered! Our waitress was nice and super knowledgeable regarding the drink, dinner, and dessert menus. We had the meat and cheese plate appetizer(freaking amazing, and well worth the $ 15 price tag). My husband had, and loved, the Cuban and an order of the gigantic onion rings, and I had the pizza of the day(which had bacon, blue cheese, and jalapenos and was absolutely amazing). The dessert special was a chai brulee. I love crème brûlée and chai, so I couldn’t resist, and it didn’t disappoint. My only complaint, and this is really neither here nor there in comparison to how delicious the food was, is that the Manhattan I ordered upon our arrival was awful. I’m pretty sure the bartender simply gave me a shot of bourbon in a martini glass… I moved on to wine, which was delicious, but still… I guess because the atmosphere totally caters to beer and wine drinkers, maybe knowing how to make a Manhattan isn’t a priority, but this patron was sad about it. Otherwise, it was an amazing dinner, with delicious food and a great waitress. We’ll definitely be back.

A friend of ours that use to live in Utah recommended this place to us as we were visiting the area. It was a wonderful experience! The wait we were told would be about 50 – 55 minutes on a Friday night(19th) so we went and sat in the bar area and were greeted fairly quickly by a staff member who took our drink order and gave quality descriptions of the best choices of brews they offer! My husband had their Russian Stout which was excellent. I had a vodka tonic with a slice of lime that is «pre measured» & packed with ice in a small juice glass. It’s not worth the price, you’d be better off with their beer selection(s) with a higher alcohol volume per ounce whether you go glass or bottle for the cost! Our wait time was only about 20 – 25 minutes and we were paged to be seated. Server was Mike; fabulous, super professional and accommodating with our requests. Started with the chicken wings: sauced to perfection and really good. Got a dinner salad with their house made dressing which is a basil/garlic vinaigrette. One of the best dressings we’ve EVER had! They need to bottle this one up and sell it, you gotta give it a try! My husband had the Cuban sandwich which was amazing in flavor. I had the spaghetti & homemade sausage. It was average in taste & portion. The sausage was dry– don’t recommended this dish. Our daughter ordered the mussels which was an appetizer, but a perfect course for her! Our server was very shocked & impressed with her menu choice! LOL She also ordered a side of the horseradish mashed potatoes; comfort food that«hit the spot»! «Saved the best for last»; they had our favorite-Crème Brûlée which the featured flavor that evening was Chi Tea(an added bonus in my book). It was incredible! A must have if you like this type of delectable dessert! All & all a great evening. If we are ever back in the area; we will be sure to explore more of their amazing menu!

I’m so on the fence with this place that it hurts ! I’m going to attack this logically. 1) The only place to start at a brewery is obviously with the beer !!! — 1st beer Servers choice: 20th Anniversary Imperial Red. It was fantastic ! It was a perfect balance of malty and hopy, with a clean aftertaste . — 2nd beer: I obviously had to try the Hef, because a good Hef is so few and far between and it was nice. It’s a great starter beer. It’s a good starter beer and it’s a good stater beer . — 3rd beer: IPA junior, I’m whelmed, Utah is truly in its own bubble, I don’t see the love in this IPA that you see anywhere else in the US. I mean come on we are taking about your flag ship IPA here … 2) «The vibe» So this is going to sound harsh but I mean it with love. The vibe in this place represents the franchised version of a cool brewery. You can franchise while giving each location its own soul. This place feels like a cool brewery that was bought out by Budweiser. 3) Lastly the staff, I can say it’s obvious that with the tools given my server(Dave) did a fantastic job but this place lacks knowledge and love for beer. — Beer as we know it has been around since 822AD !! You guys need more passion for your craft … **** Lastly: You don’t post your IBU’s? Why not?

Arrived at 6pm. Told it would be 30 – 35 minutes. Not a bad wait for a Saturday night. Although as we are standing in the lobby we are seeing groups of people file in that are the same size as ours getting seated immediately. Our group is only 5. We have still not been sat at 6:50. I have never ate here but we have waited this long so we will stay. I certainly hope they have the best food I’ve ever tasted. From the looks of others plates it does not look like it will be the case. Finally getting seated at 7:00. Took us to a table for 2… Waited 5 more minutes for our table. Very nice waiter but underperformed for sure. Had to asking r refills several times. We will not be back here. Very unfortunate as it appears to be popular and it’s a great location. Food was also just average.

I had a chance to visit Red Rock the day after Christmas and was glad that they were open. The first thing that made me want to visit the location was the $ 2 mimosas. I kind of wish that there was an option for bottomless because after a few of these it starts adding up. My fiancée and I met up with family and friends at this location and they were able to accommodate us. Once seated we placed our drink orders and an order for an appetizer. These items came out quickly. The only thing that I did not appreciate was that the entire restaurant was open and for whatever reason they decided that the best option was to seat another large party directly behind us. I would still visit the location again as the $ 2 mimosas are hard to turn down.

Shitty service… was seated at a table and were ignored for 10 minutes so we decided to move to the bar. Took a while for the bar tender to come around and then even longer to wipe off the bar. But the real one star moment was watching our food sit in the window with all that heat blaring down on it. Came by with water glasses was a nice touch but one of them had shite all over it. Also, at one point some manager looking guy came by and looked at all the food on the cooks station, did some mouth breathing and then proceeded out of the area. You would think that someone could run the food out or something. On the way out passed an employee that looked right at us and said nothing… Typical«snow bros» that are to cool for that… Maybe we hit this place at an off time but this place seems totally devoid of «customer service» and a serious lack of management presence.

We heard this place has pretty good fish and chips so we decided to give this place a try. It was chill back weekday late night dinner. Not many people in the restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. And our server was a sweet lady. Alright, let’s talk about what is good here first. Crab stack salad! It comes in small fancy portion and costs about $ 14. Since it was ordered by my fiancé and it had onion on it, I would not touch it at all. My fiancé did mention how delicious it is and the best one out of all the dinner. Definitely recommend the Bruschetta. Six cheesy parmesan toasts, sun dried tomatoes and fresh basil leaves soaked in olive oil, and creamy goat cheese. The topping tasted fine but the toasts was soggy. The toasts were just some frozen toasts which came out of the oven way too fast. We did told server about it and she apologized. The worst was the fish and chips! It wasn’t crispy. The meat was dry. It tasted like it has been in the freezer for a while. And it costed $ 20! Movie theater’s $ 12 fish and chips tastes better than this! Pago’s high end $ 13 delicious fish and chips is so crispy that the outter shell crumbles in tiny pieces! Yeah…it was ok. I heard the Red Rock Brewery’s history and how great it was back in the day but it definitely didn’t live up to its name for us. Now I am craving for some Pago’s fish and chips.

We had an unusual waiting time. I bought a sausage pizza… And this thing came out. Ummm did they microwave the pizza? Not a part of it is toasted. Really the grossest looking pizza I’ve ever seen. It tastes pretty awful too. The crust has no flavor, the sauce tastes like spaghetti sauce and isn’t made for a pizza. The pepper was overpowering and whatever«sausage» was there, I couldn’t taste it. I think they bought the mozzarella from Walmart it had a strange taste and consistency. And take pizza’s off the menu. This place has no right to ruin people’s pizza experience. A pepperoni hot pocket would have been a superior product to the poor-quality and il-thought product I received. Save your money and go somewhere else. Really bad experience.

Have been here many a time for yummy food and brewskies. Tried their brunch for the first time and was not disappointed. First off, $ 2 mimosas– yes please! Devoured the eggs benedict. The potatoes were also really flavorful and not your traditional house potatoes– loved the addition of onions and cheese. Tried some of my friend’s chicken fried steak & eggs– also delicious.

I feel sick to my stomach as I write this but I am holding on, hoping these mussels aren’t the cause of my dismay. Ugh! Great location and service was good, but this menu is always all over the place. Exactly what kind of restaurant is Red Rock anyway? Our seating was a bit awkward and probably a fire hazard because of the way our table was positioned between an aisle and patio door. I had to get up twice for patrons and then at one point, a hurried waiter accidentally brushed me off of my seat. And then — What is up with the mussels? They have… mustard? Was that supposed to be butter? I am disgusted just thinking about that fishy combination paired with an acrylic yellow mustard seeping out of the mussel appetizer. Bad news all around. There’s a stank about them, one that I cannot get off my hands. Currently: Feeling doomed. The chicken with macaroni and cheese was also another bust as it clashes with a chipotle-esque chile sauce and is cause for gagging. The waitress was very nice about taking it back as we tried to explain why it was terrible. Kudos to her, but my god, who is coming up with this menu back there? I usually get the turkey burger which is one of the few establishments in town to offer it. Calamari is also good here, but it will be a miracle if my next review isn’t from Intermountain Hospital with a bout of serious food poisoning.

No waiters were harmed during the making of this review. I tip good even with bad service. The way I look at. I can have a horrible day at work. Treat my employees bad, my clients bad and my pay doesn’t change. So why should it for waiters? Onto the review. My main pet pev with restaurants. Drinks. I want a something to drink with my food. Beer empty ask if I want another. Water empty ask if I want more. The more beer I drink, the more I spend, the more you make. This waiter sucked at checking on drinks. All drinks were finished on the table of three before the food even came out. Manager came up to check on us drinks still empty. And did nothing about it. Now at this point curiosity got the best of me. I should have asked for more because I was thirsty. But I had to see if anyone there would do anything about it. No one did. We finished our food. Got desert. Never asked once if we wanted more water, or beer for that matter. I would expect that lack of attention from a waiter time to time. But from the manager as well. I was shocked. Food was ok. Beer good. Dessert ok. Service. Meh

Red rock brewery has been around since 1994. It seems like the Fashion Place location was their third site behind downtown and the resort community of Park City. The purpose of this review Is to write about fashion place, the Red Rock location situated in the middle of the Salt Lake Valley. Fashion place mall is an enclosed shopping mall anchored by Dillards, Nordstrom and the Container store. With all that shopping going on, you’ll find Red Rock is a terrific place to get off your feet and enjoy a good meal and a few beers. Offering a nice selection of craft brews, try to drink your way from light to dark and you’ll be having a fun post shopping experience. My choice is chicken Parmigiana and a German style Hefeweizen. There is a sampler platter of beers so you can run the spectrum of their offerings. The servers are always attentive and helpful with a recommendation. Another nice perk of dining at Red Rock is free valet parking with your meal. This parking tip alone is worth a fortune during the peak shopping season. Clean and well-kept, the décor is brewpub contemporary — they’ve done a nice job the bathroom fixtures. There are seating options at the bar, high-top tables or even window seats and watch the shoppers go by. Most people don’t opt for dessert after drinking beer but I must say if you have the family with you, they might enjoy one of their killer pieces of cake. Next time you’re having a shopping experience at Fashion Place, finish your day at Red Rock Brewery. Better yet, let your wife shop and you can hang at Red Rock — you’ll enjoy it. Salute!

Their $ 2 mimosas and bloody mary’s at Sunday brunch will cost you less than a Coke. Not that you should abuse such a offer… but you could even if on a small budget. The rest of my party went with the Eggs Benedict but I went with the Eggs in Purgatory and wasn’t disappointed. If you like a little spice, I’d suggest it.
