We have never had a bad experience here. The food is always on par and the service is always quick.

Agree with a prior reviewer that they never seem to have enough food ready. I appreciate that it’s a balancing act between freshness and availability, but having to wait for sides like macaroni and cheese is just wrong. I can forgive the lack of friendliness of the staff, but I’ve yet to find one who is at all enthusiastic to be there — I always come-away with the feeling like they’re doing me a favor. Finally, the quality is average at best — but on this particular visit, we had the added extra of a hair in our food.

Popeye’s usually tastes pretty good but this has to be the slowest one I have ever been to. It seems like they never have enough food ready when they should be expecting a busy night.

I don’t usually go for fast food chicken, but I do fall for the occasional lunch special. They have one in particular on Tuesdays(double check before you go in case they get rid of it) – for $ 3.50 you get a 2 piece with a side and biscuit. The girl behind the counter had it ready for me by the time I was done paying! I really do appreciate people who take pride in their work. It seems to be a rare quality these days. Just be careful with the spicy chicken. I think it gave me a horrible tummy ache, so I just stick to the mild now.

The lady behind the counter was cheerful, and got my order correct. The food was exactly as expected. The managers went out of their way to be friendly to me. Five stars.

The boyfriend and I are on our last hurrah we swear. Once Chicago Marathon training starts we will be eating healthier and certainly not stopping anywhere for fried chicken. He had been raving about their chicken so we got the tenders. I appreciated how the woman at the drive through gave us a better deal and saved us some dough. However I have no idea what happened but we waited almost 20 minutes to get our chicken. Maybe they had to make a new batch. Anyway, we got a free order of large fries for waiting which was nice that they acknowledged their error. The fries were the bomb and seasoned with a Cajun spice for a little kick. The chicken was good — fried perfectly and super hot(like it had been just made). Te batter was OK but lacking some taste compared to what I have had at other places. The boyfriend said that the actual chicken was better so we will have to try that next.

Normally would I have ever purchased food at a Popeyes? Of course not, but I figured if the Red Sox starters were gorging themselves on this stuff to the point it made them miss the playoffs it must be unbelievably good. So I hit up the drive thru for some of this mystical chicken. For $ 5 and change I got 3 chicken strips, cajun fries, biscuit and a lemonade. Not bad in the price department. As for taste I was also surprised. The chicken didn’t taste like fast-food and the spicy honey mustard sauce it came with was actually good. The cajun fries were also pretty good and the biscuit was so full of butter how could it not taste good. So overall the taste was pretty good although I would imagine that this stuff was beyond unhealthy.

We’re quite big fans of Popeye’s when health concerns aren’t an issue! I have never eaten in at this location, there never seems to be anyone doing that anyway. This isn’t the nicest location. Usually a good place to head over for some yummy fried chicken when you have a coupon. The fried chicken with honey is great whether you have original or spicy. And the cajun fries are immense. You have to have those to complete the meal.

Terrible service — avoid this location. Recent order was missing a cajun rice. Called manager — no apology or concern. Drove back to store to pick up rice. Got home — rice was only partially filled up. Called manager — no apology or concern. No coupons or freebies for our trouble. Also, our 8 piece order included only 1 leg. Not what we expected or wanted. This location has messed up orders on several occasions. Plus, managers are surly and unfriendly. Please eat somewhere else. This location will only disappoint.

One of my buddies had a coupon for Popeye’s that was good through today so we had to go for lunch. I love Popeye’s fried chicken, spicy, with or without sides. An added bonus for this location is that the employees seem to be having a good time. The manager connects with the staff and her customers and that is rare in the fast food business. Clean restrooms too. Yup. And I also have a weakness for the fried sweet potato and apple pies. Sweet!

The famous popeye’s friend chicken. I’ve heard quite a bit about this chicken, from friends, but had never tried it. My cousin decided to order in the chicken + meal… and man, this was by far, one of the best fried chickens I’ve ever had. Don’t get me wrong. It doesn’t beat Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth, MI. I reached into the box… and hesitated for a second. I did not have my normal condiments of ketchup and honey… plus this fried chicken was«spicy.» Could it be good? I took one bite and MAN, it was good. The skin is fried just right, so it’s not soaking in grease when you bite into it(unlike KFC), and it’s so crispy, it’s amazing. Additionally, the meat itself was not too salty, and the spice level was just right. What really made me happy, as the fact when I pulled off the skin to eat it separately, I did not see a whole layer of fat underneath the skin, as I was expecting. Even more happiness. Both the dark and the white meat was delicious– additionally, I didn’t see hairs on the chicken(some places just don’t seem to clean their chickens well), which made me happy to chomp away on the chicken. We ordered the cajun rice as well– which was GOOD. I highly recommend it. The corn we ordered was okay– a little more on the soggy side, not the crisp fresh corn I like. I was in bliss after the fried chicken meal. I would definitely go back, this time, with extra napkins and more coupons to spend. Mmmm. I’ve fallen back in love with fried chicken.
