Emil’s Sports Bar & Pizza

We order from Emil’s frequently but it seems to me that since they expanded their menu the food has gone down hill. We had a Bill’s Bonanza pizza tonight with extra sausage and their plain chicken wings which I love. The wings were much smaller than in the past and the breading was very, very salty, will never order again. The pizza was ok, we have had better from Emil’s.

Soggy & Greasy fries and a waitress with a attitude. Party of 6 so a gratuity was automatically added, too bad because I would have showed the waitress how appreciative I was.

The Polynesian pizza and beer nuggets are amazing. Delivery is always fast and the food is always hot. If you’re looking for great pizza look no further! The onion rings and breaded mushrooms are also fantastic choices.

Great bar, nice atmosphere and workers. Good food, especially with. New updated menu! Totally recommend going to Emil’s to watch any sporting event, they have plenty of TVs. They also have a really nice outdoor area when it’s nice out!

The pizza, chicken, beer nuggets and the rest of their food is great! the only downfall is if your from Mundelein It’s a high school reunion. If you went to MHS You will always run into people you don’t want to see and this is the place. Watching sports here is good though other than that this is a pretty decent place

Love this place! The outdoor patio area is really nice in the summer. Bingo Mondays are really fun!

Beer nuggets are addictive and the pizza is awesome. Staff is cool and we always get a warm welcome when we come in.

Emil’s has the best beer nuggets and pizza in town! My favorite server is Shelby! She is always attentive and always has a smile! Ask for Shelby!

Delicious. Have new daily and monthly specials and all you can eat pizza on Tuesday.

First bar I tried in Illinois. Friendly and entertaining place. Good food, friendly servers. Cold beer.

Pretty good fish fry… Excellent tartar sauce! Good for watching sports and hanging out with friends… relaxed atmosphere.

We decided to give Emils another go but we’re even more disappointed this time. My husbands burger was burnt on the outside but rarely done on the inside. This is kind of like our fries. They came cold and flavorless again. I had the chicken Caesar wrap which everything in it was mushy and did not taste fresh at all. The best part was the tomato my husband received to put on his burger. I would be embarrassed to give something like that to a customer.

SHELBY WAS AMAZING! We came in just a few minutes before their kitchen closed and she made it happen!
She was so personable and SO attentive.: This is why I keep coming back to Emil’s! Awesome food and awesome service!

I came here the other night and it was packed! A cubs game was on, so that explains it. It’s a pretty small, casual place. It’s one of those «where everybody knows your name» kind of sports bars. They have monthly and daily specials that are really decently priced. We ordered the beer nuggets (super good!), and a pizza. I thought the pizza was good — crispy thin crust and enough toppings/​sauce. Even though it was busy, our waitress was pretty attentive. We had to flag her down a few times but it wasn’t a big deal. They have other things besides pizza (burgers, sandwiches, broasted chicken). There is also an outdoor patio area. Since we got the last table available, we weren’t able to see the TV’s real well. However, we were talking for the most part so it was ok. A good local place to come watch a game, crab some pizza, and a drink.

So Unilocal always makes me smile when it asks is a place is «Divey». What does that mean like «working class?» Because I LOVEEEE a working class bar. Full of neighborhood regulars who show up same time and know the bartenders so well they know the names of the bartender’s BF/​GF. If you two love such amazing locales then start setting your glass on the bar at Emil’s and enjoy the great vibe.
Jukebox playing your favorite mix of rock and country favorites, plenty of TVs, outside seating, great selection of major brands and microbrews on tap, and a great mix of high tops and booths to round out the bar.
I didn’t run through the menu mostly because dine-​in chicken wings for 25 cents…25 CENTS!!! Only on Thursdays and Sunday’s according to barkeep but hey that is the bonus of sunday drinking ;).
So why not 5 stars? Well if you have ever perused my reviews I love whiskey and the selection was limited :(but if you aren’t a whiskey fan and love a working class bar with awesome wings and beer I can’t think of a better place to unwind

Fun place to be! My in laws turned me to Emil’s and I can’t ever get enough beer nuggets. Love eating and drinking here. The also do delivery so you can get great food at home.
Brother in law loves the pizza and girlfriend likes the Santa Fe Salad. If you go here for hockey go very very early

I’m not sure if it’s because this order was for to go but it wasn’t very good at ALL. The fries was mushy and the Santa Fe wrap was just BLAH! My tortilla was filled with lettuce, cheese, tomato and grilled chicken. I just feel like the whole combination doesn’t go well together. It’s like wrapping a salad with seaweed. The fries was a disappointment too. Very mushy and limp. The worse part is the Greasy after taste of the fries. It tastes like it was refried so many times with the same oil.
I felt kinda blaaah shortly after eating. I felt very cloggy.
On the other hand, their broasted chicken isn’t bad and their burger is solid too.

Love the pizza, reminds me kinda of Barnaby’s. The service is good. And it being a 5min walk from my house is even better.

Brisket sand was OK, beans were Busch’s, slaw was good, fries were OK. Service was pretty quick. Seems like a lot of regulars in there, the lady was nice and refilled my coke. I would go back. I like the name is one letter away from Email’s Sports Bar & Pizza.

Best place to watch football! Lots of TVs and they show many games at once not just the bears. Good food and drink specials.
