Another Chinese Restaraunt in Muncie. Decent food but I will stick with King’s Buffet.

Best part about this place is the sushi. Philadelphia rolls are fantastic. Also love the food selection. The quality of the food is hit n miss, but i don’t complain. I understand replacing food every half hour because its a little soggy can get expensive. Great place

I for the most part don’t immediately go eat at a buffet, but tonight I broke that rule. What a cold snowy day, and it really didn’t get much past 10-degrees…cold!!! Arriving at my hotel and stepping out of my warm car and into the cold air, my senses immediately recognize«Chinese» food… imagine that… looking around my eyes focus upon the Chinese restaurant next door…“Yummy Grill & Buffet” …oh my. After settling into the hotel, I pull on my coat and gloves… out the door I go. Greeted upon entry and promptly seated… ordered a hot tea and water… now the buffet. First thing I notice are all the steaming hot trays. It is a real difficulty for buffets to keep the hot food hot… apparently they have mastered that task here. Awesome!!! They have 4 buffet tables with all the hot dish and soups you would expect from a good Chinese buffet… and then some. Plus there are countless sushi rolls and quite the spread for fruits and desserts. My meal was hot, tasty, and just real good. What a gold mine to find way out here and off the beaten path. Good food, very nice service… I will come back!!!

Went there to eat last night and it was the worst service and food I have ever had. Let’s just say I have phone calls to make against this place and I will not go there anymore they have lost me as a customer. I am going to report them to a couple of agencies and also to their food distributor as well.

Short version: I’ve been here about 5 times and I would go again. Better version: I’ve been to this restaurant both under its previous and current names/ownership. I’m always a little skeptical when a restaurant is closed down and reopens under a new name but doesn’t appear any different. But, I guess not excessively skeptical because I still go. On all my visits, the service has been very good. The food tastes good and the variety is nice. The place seems clean including the rest rooms. I used to be in restaurant management and I’ve learned that if what you can see is not clean, then what you can’t see(the kitchen) probably isn’t clean either. On my last visit which was dinner time on a Sunday, they were not good at keeping the buffet full but I wouldn’t decline to go there since this was not the norm I previously experienced. I would recommend to a friend.

Formerly known as Teppanyaki Grill and Buffet, but apparently changed owners, and changed names after a run-in with the health department. I hadn’t been there since my last BSU student graduated, but now have another one looking at a school in Muncie, went back. It didn’t seem to have changed from what I remembered – wide variety of food, decent to good buffet sushi, especially the Inari. Other food was hot, fresh, tasted right. Place looked clean, service was quick, policed the dishes right away. Don’t see any of the reported previous problems currently. Definitely will go back next time I’m in Muncie. Why only 3 stars? because even a good buffet can’t really compare to a good restaruant’s performance.
