Horrible service. Looking for a quick bite on way out of town. Lady in front of me ordered an egg sandwich so I ordered one. Cashier — sorry — she got the last breakfast! Par for the course for our family on this trip.

This place has awful food(which makes the prices absurd), horrible service, bad layout and is a waste of space in this location! The only thing keeping this place alive is Cars and Coffee every Saturday. We now stop somewhere else to grab food on the way just so we do not have to endure this place. I wish they would shut their doors already so something new can move in.

It was late in the afternoon and I was in Mount Pleasant on business and needed to grab lunch. ABC has always been a staple sandwich/soup spot for lunch so of course this was an easy choice. It has been a few years since I have been to this location so I was excited at the opportunity. It was not very busy, but it was during that lull between lunch and dinner time. I can’t remember coming here when it wasn’t packed, but there didn’t seem to be many shoppers out in Towne Centre either. The cashier was not very friendly and in fact seemed a little bothered to have to take my order. I was hoping she got it right. It was a ham and swiss on rye! She didn’t know if the rye was thin sliced, but I asked someone else who did confirm it for me. She wasn’t going to ask anyone for me, and was going to let it be potluck. When I went to get my drink, I noticed a great improvement in the drink station. Things are not so crowded now, but the tea is sort of «around the corner» to get to. At first I thought I had missed it somehow. When I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, I was not impressed. It was not at all clean. There was someone cleaning out in the lobby and there was a broom leaning up outside the door. I thought maybe I just caught it right before she was going in to clean. After eating my sandwich, the broom was still there and no one had gone in to clean yet. There went that theory and hopefulness. On a very positive note, my sandwich was as delicious as ever and the tea options were equally as pleasing. I am definitely willing to try it again, but with caution. Maybe a manager needs to be there to see how things are operating throughout the day. I would love to see it improve at least back to when you couldn’t get a seat on any given day. I’m sure ABC would like that too!

This place is terrible, that being said, I go there almost every Saturday, only because they have Cars and Coffee in the parking lot. The place has a terrible layout, the cutlery is at the cash register, which is right next to where you pick up your food. So if there is a line, you cut thru everyone to get your utensils, or to pick up your food. Sometimes if your lucky there is a microwave so you can warm up your food, usually there isn’t so you can eat it cold. The staff is not friendly, so don’t try to be nice to them. But I will probably continue to go there… yay.

Giving them 2 stars because we still like their Cinnamon raisin bread. There should be NO star for customer service. We were at the Surf Side location one morning(before that store closed). I wanted to buy 4 loaves of cinnamon bread. I was told I can’t, because someone else may want a loaf. I’m thinking, is my money not as good as the next person? Most recently, I ordered 3 loaves, two days in advance, to be pick up around 9AM. at the Mt. Pleasant location. We got there at 9:05. They found my order, but none were put aside for me. They said it was the Manager’s fault, only 3 loaves came into the store, one was already sold. I had no choice but to buy just the 2 that was on the shelf. Who is accountable for these kinds of training?

Worst, slowest, service ever. Employees were too lazy to point out that we needed to move to the other side to order — nobody seemed to be manning either end of the register/ordering area. My wife’s turkey sausage egg white bagel looked like something from the frozen section of the supermarket. The egg white looked like molded rubber. Didn’t even bring out my daughter’s bagel. I had to go back and stand and wait to ask for it. No one seemed to have a clue what they were doing. Terrible experience, not what I’ve come to expect based on my visits to other locations of this franchise. This one is particularly poorly run and staffed.

Took an hour for us to get our food with a screaming baby. When it came out it was stone cold probably sitting there for 30 min. This is the worst place in mt pleasant. I hope everyone involved with this place chokes on Atlanta bread.

This place… The location is perfect to grab food during a shopping day in Towne Center. All the employees greet with smiles and are very polite to order from. The space is clean and plenty of seating. I like eating here and sitting by the windows to people watch. I’ve had a few paninis and soups here. I’ve enjoyed them all. Their soups are pretty darn good. My only issue with this place is this, I order a sandwich(panini), a side of soup, and a drink. I sit down and eat it all. I then ponder to myself, I just paid how much for this and I am still starving??? Yeah, umm don’t come here if you are really hungry unless you want to spend a ton of money for multiple grilled thin sandwiches and dinky cups of soup. It’s just not worth it for me.

If i could give this shit hole zero stars I would. I got the steak panini and it was absolutely dreadful. Even though the bread was panini pressed it was still undercooked and doughie, and not crispy at all. The whole sandwich was flavorless and gross. The mushrooms were straight out of the can and the meat was bland and rubber like. even the French roll on the side of my half and half was under baked and not crispy, almost very stale the French onion soup was far too salty They have tried to copy Panera but failed miserably What a waste of $ 9 STAYAWAYYYYY

Don’t eat here on Sunday. They have the C team working and they don’t put any effort into food preparation. My wives turkey sandwich had a huge glob of avocado plopped right in the middle of the bread. I had pastrami sandwich. So much fat I had to pull meat out and take fat off. Five of us ate here for $ 50. The place is good during the week but morons making food on Sunday obviously do not want to be there or that is what you get for minimum wage and minimum intelligence.

What a mess. Maybe that it was a busy Saturday evening and they were understaffed. but it was not all the businesses fault… the patrons contributed as well: There was an overabundance of annoying sub 8-year old ADHD kids with clueless parents(for example one parent let their child blow a whistle for 10-minutes). And if that was not bad enough, apparently the local assisted living center emptied their rooms as the other half of the patrons were psychotropic dependent seniors who had not qualms about stepping all over your stuff or bumping the back of your seat. It made me wonder if the place didn’t exceed the fire marshall’s limite on numbers of occupants, it was so darn crowded. Food came out sort of slow and they missed on an order, neglecting to come out with a beverage we ordered. After 12-minutes on line again, I got the cup of chocolate milk, only to return to a cold soup. Food was not special enought to warrant a return(ever). SaleebScore: Food: 5⁄10; Service: 6⁄10; Value: Poor; Atmosphere:(during busy): poor. Overall impression and recommendations: Avoid.

IT’S A TRAP! This place is not worth the money. PERIOD. I came here for lunch yesterday after killing some time wandering around the Towne Centere. The line was ridiculous, and I could tell most people were tourists, or just stopping in because it was convenient. I finally got to order and decided on the half and half, which said and«bowl» of soup and half a sandwich for $ 7.79. Which seemed steep. Then when I tried to order a «bowl» of soup, the cashier said the tomato basil was an extra dollar, because it was premium. I asked about the regular soups that came with the offer, and she said only the French Onion, and potato were not an extra dollar. Okay, I don’t like those so I just stuck with the Tomato. So I go to get my HALF a sandwich, and I chose from the signature sandwiches menu. The girl then tells me it’s ANOTHER dollar for a signature sandwich. The paninis are the one’s that come with the offer. Okay, so I get HALF of a turkey club panini. SHESTILLCHARGEDMEANEXTRADOLLAR! My total came to $ 10.27 for half a panini, which came with a single tomato slice, a single slice of cheese, a single strip of bacon and one slice of turkey. It came with a one ounce cup of honey mustard dipping sauce. Also the«bowl of soup» was a little 8 ounce cup that was about 2/3s of the way full. It came with a single slice of french bread. Also, I got a tap water, which I was surprised wasn’t an extra freaking dollar. Needless to say I felt quite ripped off. To top it off the girl who brought me my food just looked at me, said my order, then practically flung my food onto the table. I would’ve returned to food, but I didn’t want to be «that girl» and the place was packed. The food tasted alright and the atmosphere was nice, so I give an extra star for that. But I WILLNEVERCOMEBACK. COMPLETERIPOFF!

Somewhere along the way, I came to believe that«Fill-in-the-blank Bread Company» = «Panera». Maybe it’s because I’m used to seeing St. Louis Bread Company, which is, indeed the same as Panera. We were surprised when we walked in and it wasn’t anything close to the menu that we know and love from up north. Setting aside unmet expectations, we ordered lunch. My husband and I each ordered a half-and-half meal option. I got the Chardonnay Brie salad and a chicken salad sandwich, and my husband got the buffalo chicken salad and gumbo in a bread bowl. First, the Chardonnay Brie salad. It was so SWEET, with nothing to balance it. I was definitely disappointed, because I usually love things with«Chardonnay» and«brie» in their title. The sandwich was simple, and thus was not terrible. My husband’s whole meal could be described as «meh», in his words. Nothing stand-out, stellar, worthy of making us want to come back. Also, lunchtime on a weekday was surprisingly busy and very loud. Sorry, ABC, we’re not fans.

ABC is always a nice place to come and have lunch. I enjoy the turkey bacon avocado sandwich with the tomato basil soup. Because of both of these selections I keep coming back! The sandwich is freshly made with crunchy onions, succulent turkey, and mouth watering lemon basil aioli. The soup is so enjoyable I feel like buying a tub of the stuff and taking it home, but with all good things gluttony is a killer.

I just don’t love it. Why is there not a Panera at Towne Center? Sigh. Back in the day in Atlanta, the two used to run nose-to-nose for good lunch, even breakfast, sweets and dinner options. Panera is so much better. This is one of the few casual-food-but non-restaurant spots at Towne Centre(Qdoba and a couple other places being the rest of the choices) and it is Always. Busy. Annoyingly so. For decent service but overpriced and just — underwhelming stuff. I have had bagels, a turkey sandwich and a couple salads over the years. Not horrible but nothing to write home about. I can’t even remember the names or descriptions of anything I have had(a turkey on French with lettuce, Swiss and cucumbers only doesn’t count as they didn’t think that up!). The store layout is awkward and there aren’t enough tables outside, which is key because inside seating gets full quickly. I’d love to see this spot filled with a Zoe’s Kitchen, a Corner Bakery(Café), a. .. guess we will see!

While shopping, my mother and I wanted a light lunch and saw that ABC was allegedly located somewhere in the shopping center. The signage on the building was kind of small, and the logo has changed since we last ate at an ABC(many years ago), but we finally found it after driving past a couple of times. I had the pick 2 with a house salad that was LOADED with cheese and a cup of the potato soup. While neither rocked my world, both were fresh tasting and well put together. The restaurant itself, on the other hand, could use some work. The tables needed to be bussed and the special snowflakes that work there could have been a little more motivated. A lot of standing around, not much cleaning or assembling. When asking if there were more napkins elsewhere, as both dispensers were empty, I got an eye roll and a hand on the hip. Luckily, I needed all of my extra money for Barry Manilow items from his concert that night, and didn’t want to waste it on bail, so I let it slide. Lots of restaurant choices nearby, so they might want to tighten up the crew and space a bit. While I prefer Panera, ABC was A-OK.

Full Disclosure: This was my first job in high school, so I learned all of my sandwich making skills from them.(And not to toot my own horn, but I have great sandwich skills. Subway Sandwich Artists have nothing on me & the ABC Crew.) Moving on… Atlanta Bread is a great, quick spot if you’re looking for something healthy to eat on the go. It’s also a million times better than Panera. They’re food is fresh and much tastier. Plus, I think their bread is better. Take that, Panera! All in all, great spot for a quick & tasty lunch!

Atlanta Bread isn’t bad for a quick breakfast. My run club runs at Isle Of Palms on Saturday morning so we go to Atlanta Bread afterwards because long distance running gives you an appetite. Today we went after our 10 miler, sweaty and hungry, for some bagels and sandwiches and coffee. The food was good and service wasn’t bad either. The bagels and sandwiches are a bit small, it seems like the bagels they use for the sandwiches are smaller than the ones you see. The main issue we had was the fan. We sat outside– being sweaty and everything, to spare the other customers from smelling us and hearing our runner conversations– and we really wanted the outdoor fans on. One guy went in to ask them to turn them on, and after talking to 2 workers, no one knew how to turn them on or really seemed to pay him much attention to find out. I don’t really think it’s a weird request to ask for a fan to be turned on at 8:30AM during July, when it’s hot outside, but the workers should at least know how.

This ABC location is really convenient for me in Mt Pleasant and being in the Towne Center shopping center. It’s usually my go to spot if I am running errands over there. The staff is always friendly which is great. I love the bread bowls and the soups rotate daily. The Balsamic blue salad is one of my favorites as well. They have free WiFi too!
