Easily the best subs in Mountainside/​Westfield. Reminds me so much of the ‘corner deli’ of my youth, employees who have been there forever, jocular, nice as can be. The subs are assembled with care, to your specifications, with generous portions for fair prices.
Go elsewhere in this area, and you will get a lot of bread and not much filling. Go here, and you will get that elusive, perfect stuff-​to-​bread ratio we all love. And pleasant current-​events-​based conversation while you wait.

Came in after shoveling snow bc the bar next door was closed. Starved, we were happy to find a sandwich place but bummed we couldn’t have a beer too. Ordered our sandwiches, looked in the bag, and surprise… the woman behind the counter added 2 free beers to our order. How’s that for awesomeness? The place isn’t the fanciest looking but the sandwiches were good and the service friendly!

Longtime and consistent provider of good food and efficient service. They make some of their own offerings such as Mac and cheese, daily soups and turkey and ham. Pretty bare bones as far as a deli goes but ask for a cold cut party plate and it comes beautifully arranged with rolls, bread and side condiments like mustard and cole slaw and Russian dressing. A real gem of a place where things are very straight forward and unpretentious. Service is friendly and professional.
