Decent phở, average price, decent service when they aren’t slammed by whatever horrible company has pick up an order for an army. Seriously, if you see in the restaurant, just leave. Your food will take an hour to come out. This restaurant needs to refuse large takeout orders during peak hours. It’s seriously unfair to dine in customers. and whatever Silicon Valley company that ordered through you, I hate you.

Just came here this lunch time. The food was really good. Nice service, too. A cozy place. I definitely will come back!

I kind of feel bad writing this review, as this is obviously a family run restaurant, and you can see three generations of family all pitching in to run a business. Sadly, that business is tragically flawed. My girlfriend and I both ordered the«Fillet Mignon Phở.» The one thing that a good phở place absolutely requires is a good broth. This broth was pure salt, which completely destroyed the meal. I don’t really need to go on much more than that. Salt. Just salt. The place also felt like eating in a prison cafeteria. The entire place is a big grey box. Grey walls. Grey floor. Grey ceiling. The wait was also unusually long for a phở place. 20+ minutes of waiting for soup? I really wish that these guys get their act together. It would be nice to have a legit phở place so close to me. Until then, I won’t be coming back.

3 years ago I discovered this place, luckily I struck gold and ordered the world famous satay beef soup. It’s phenomenal. I try to make it a point and come over at-least once a week to enjoy this delicacy. I bring guests, colleagues and friends over all the time and always order the same superb soup(which I now fondly call«red soup») and it never fails. Everyone loves it and it’s the best.

Probably one of the worst Phở experiences I’ve had. I came here a couple years ago and thought the food was decent so I decided to come back for a lunch break. For one, this place takes FOREVER. When scrolling through the other reviews, I noticed a lot of users were having the same issue. It took me and my buddy 30 – 35 minutes just to get our two bowls of phở. On top of that, they didnt even get my order right. At that point in time, there was no point on sending it back. The only plus which warrants the 1 star, is that they dont use MSG; however, their soup had almost no flavor. For a $ 12.50 large bowl of phở, this place is a complete rip-off compared to other better phở establishments. Rather go to Phở Avenue which is a couple blocks away.

We were at Mt View Ross and decided to try the phở restaurant next door. It was full inside and I was concerned if it would take long to order and eat. To my surprise, we ordered right away and our food arrived fast. Our waitress was super helpful and friendly. And the phở soup was hot and absolutely delicious! We had a great experience and I will be coming back again. Very clean restaurant. Clean kitchen. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of parking. This a great place to eat after shopping at Costco or Ross.

Service is good. Spring rolls were good. My phở chin and partner’s pad thai were super un-flavorful. Next time for phở we’ll keep driving until phở avenue.

I ordered chicken curry I got curry soup instead Very watery. Terrible. I can get the sauce at Trader Joes but better. I had to wait and wait a long Time for my order. Coffee was good but cold. A rip off for $ 3.45 for small cup of coffee! Had to send it back. Had to wait for my check! Too many great phở places. I won’t be back.

Ordered takeout at the restaurant. The workers there didn’t speak enough English for us to easily communicate our order, which resulted in us waiting longer than we should have for our order. The chicken was also burned so much that it just looked like black balls of char. I understand a little char, but this was just straight up serving up cancer. This used to be a good quality place to take our place. Not sure what happened. Change of ownership?

Service is very slow. They are not busy at all. The food is just so so. The portion is very small too.

This was one of the worst phở I have ever had. I got the House phở, size regular. The broth was the BLANDEST phở broth I have ever had, and I’ve tasted a lot of mediocre broth. It literally just tasted like lukewarm water, even after throwing in my usual basil leaves and lime juice. I had to dump a lot of chili sauce and hoisin sauce in the broth to make it remotely palatable, and I usually don’t throw copious amounts of these sauce in my phở broths ever. There was also a curious lack of noodles. In most phở places, you have the opposite problem of having too many noodles. On the plus side, you can get kids, regular, or large sizes for the bowls but why bother coming here for mediocre broth?! I will not be coming back anytime soon.

Got take out today — vegetarian tofu green papaya salad which was super basic, basically just some shredded green papaya with a little fried tofu and fish sauce — very underwhelming and they didn’t even provide any ground peanuts or fried shallots or pinion for a garnish. It’s was also small like an appetizer size and overpriced for what they provided. Would not get again. Got my honey an order of crispy chowmein with chicken and shrimp and waiting for his opinion on that, but from looking at it they didn’t provide many noodles, about half the amount as other places. This is a phở place and I’d suggest sticking to the phở.

Please do yourself a favor and skip this place when you have an inkling for any form of Vietnamese food because this restaurant should not even be considered. As a Vietnamese person myself, I’m appalled that this business is open to represent our cuisine. Food was beyond subpar, service was lacking, and the wait is even worse. Not to mention, the food is overpriced! I ordered shaking beef and it took over 30 minutes for my dish to arrive. When it finally did arrive, there was only 6 itty bitty cubes of overcooked meat with a bucketload of oyster sauce thrown on it. No effort was put into this dish whatsoever because the onions and bell peppers were still raw and uncooked. My co-worker ordered a large phở tai and the broth has no flavor, almost like water. Just for future reference, phở broth should be flavorful before you add the condiments. The hoisin and srirachi is suppose to enhance the flavor to your liking not mask the flavor of the broth. My other co-worker ordered korean short ribs and it was all bones and no substance. Bun Bo Hue, why did they even try? It was a soup with noodles and red food coloring. They promised red cabbage and none was found. At least present the food with items you promised on the menu! All in all, we left the restaurant with a dark cloud over us and an upset stomach from lack of food or in one of my coworker’s case, quality of food. Btw he’s currently sitting on the toilet reconsidering his decision to eat at this place. P. s. attitude was given when we asked where our food was.

It was a waste of time and money. From the dirty floors through the horribly slow service and ending by their below average food. I have never waited for such a long time for s phở. And when it finally came out it was so bad I didn’t even finish half.

This place is great! We catered with them via a third party. They have the very best presentation of dishes we have experienced yet. They have amazing take out boxes that are pretty and highly functional. They separate their Phở so to deliver the freshest ingredients! I was always curious about this place as I go to this Costco ALL the time! Glad I was able to experience it here at work. Their Spring Rolls were HUGE and delicious! LOVED our experience. Great job, Rengstorff Phở — thank you!

I came here by chance because it was in the Costco parking lot. I was debating between 2 and 3 stars, but I decided on 2 because it was pretty pricey for what we were getting. We ordered the egg rolls, which were okay, but they were pretty small and didn’t have much filling. It reminded me more of Chinese eggs rolls than Vietnamese. I also ordered a Regular phở with Eye of Round, Brisket, and Tendon. The phở was pretty mediocre in my opinion. The noodles were kind of hard and stuck together, and the broth was very strong. The meat was very nice though. I must say that the portions were pretty small, and I ended up paying $ 30 for 2 people after tax and tip, which is must more than I usually pay at phở places.

Never again! I was going to leave right as I walked in Because(the manager?)(the owner?) was yelling at the top of his lungs at the chef! Decided to stay anyhow, I was already at the table! Food crumbs filled the seam of my seat, they seem to have been encrusted there for awhile… almost walked out again, but decided to give this fairly new ownership a chance. Waiting for my food I head to the bathroom, where I look through the kitchen opened door at the dirtiest, messiest space I have ever seen in the Bay Area! Bathrooms dirty, and uncomfortably smelly. Raw meat out on a table in hallway between he bathroom back to my table. Food was sweet and oily, an overall very negative experience

Short Story: Be prepared to wait 30 minutes for your food… seriously! Long Story: I came here on a Friday during lunch and when we got there the place had about 5 more people. We were promptly seated and given menus. However one of the people in our party did not have plates, utensils, napkins… etc and it took them a while(2 reminders) for them to get it to us. We ordered about 10 minutes after sitting down… a bit late for a phở place and it literally took 30 minutes to get our food. I’m not sure if they had to go to the store to get the ingredients… lol! BUt for a phở place that’s simply unacceptable… for any place that’s unacceptable! Waiting 30 minutes for your food… Also the food was only okay. The noodles were good but the broth and beef was flavorless. It was also overpriced. I’m not sure how this place stays in business… I would not go back. The only reason why this place gets two stars instead of one is because I liked the noodles. Verdict: I’m not coming back.

Friendly staff and clean enough restaurant that I didn’t feel the need to wipe down everything before we even sat down. Although it can get kinda busy since it is in the Costco shopping center, it is the only other phở, on rengstorff other than the phở on shoreline and then of course Castro and so on. But let’s be honest it’s pretty overpriced for even decent phở standards and if the broth was(what I always go on) has more flavor than the overpowering ginger I would say, why not. But it is a quick enough phở fix when I’m in a rush to get back on the freeway and head back to Valley. I would say that since it still looks to be that there getting into the swing of things(MORE crowding with Ross opening up) give ‘em a chance and see what you think.

Came here last night with some friends and we were all really happy with our meals! I got the no. 9 phở, which I didn’t feel was sweet, but then again I doctor up my phở with a whole lot of chili paste and hoisin sauce so I can’t speak much to the natural flavor of the broth. Other dishes that my dining companions were extremely satisfied with: spring rolls, egg rolls, pad thai and Viet roasted chicken. On top of the good food the restaurant was extremely clean, and the staff was friendly.
