First time here and it was amazing! I had the peanut butter acai bowl and it was sooo good. My taste buds are melting right now just thinking about it. Plus the bowl was super pretty and insta-worthy. I’m officially an acai bowl addict now hahah The interior of this restaurant is also super cute and insta-worthy. There are these faux leather couches in the stores, along with high-top tables in front of a picteresque collection of photos on the wall. ANDIT’S SOPRETTY :’) Even though it was definitely a little pricy($ 8), it was definitely worth it!

Nekter is my alternative to frozen cravings as I no longer consume dairy(good bye ice cream) and Slushie type drinks. I’ve gotten the Pink Flamingo, which is good. And, I love the intense color; «no filter» needed! Sadly, a large cup is $ 8. Yikes, that’s pricey. If the ingredients were primarily organic, I wonder what insane price that would be?! But, this location has great outdoor seating and tons of shopping in the immediate area. Sadly the parking lot can get tight. Also, keep in mind that Nekter closes early.

Nekter is one of my favorite juice bars from my old hometown: LA. They have one in Santa Monica and Beverly Hill that I adored! I haven’t tried the ones up here in the bay area since I don’t live super close to one. I was in the MV area the other day and had to stop by! I had to get my favorite smoothie, the tropical cooler because I love all things kale and coconut! I’ve heard great things about their juice cleanse but I haven’t tried it since I am not into cleanses. I believe that you should just feed your body with nutritious food in moderation at all times but to each their own. I like juice bars as a supplement to my meals.

I am a huge fan of the Pink Flamingo and other juices and/or smoothies at Nektar. Concentrated with vitamins, the juices are incredibly delicious as well. I have given the acai bowls several tries: it is a very filling quantity considering the price. Garnished with strawberries and banana, the bowls granola is my favorite part. Unfortunately, the acai portion tastes a little bland and not as refreshing as I’d expect. The peanut butter acai bowl was also way too chunky and did not taste blended. I’ll be back for the juices or smoothies on a hot day, but I’ll be looking elsewhere for acai bowls!

Words doesn’t do any justice on how much I love going to Nekter. I usually go to the Sunnyvale location but today since I was in the area, I decided to stop by to this location around 1pm and my experience at this particular location is AWESOME. I’ve been trying different acai bowls all around the bay area and I can confidently say that Nekter is by far my favorite. Love their Acai Banana Berry Bowl for around $ 8 which is pretty cheap compare to other places. Managers, The stuff who helped me today around 1pm all deserve a raise especially the cashier that rang me up! If I could give them a survey, it’ll be 10⁄10.

So I remember seeing this place all over Instagram and I had to go try it out, and I’m glad I decided to come here for my first açaí bowl. This place is basically like Jamba Juice, but more«hipster» if that makes sense. The shop is clean and minimalistic, and an Instagrammer’s dream. The service was standard, although the wait for my bowl was a bit long. The shop itself was pretty small, but if you head outside, there is a lot of seating. I ordered the açaí banana berry bowl, and it tasted amazing, although they do give a pretty large portion and I could not finish the whole thing by myself. Maybe I just have a tiny stomach, who knows. Underneath the fruit, there is granola which gives the whole bowl a «crunch» to it, and the açaí tasted like a really good berry smoothie. Other than açaí bowls, they also have smoothies and juice cleanses I think, but I did not try those so I cannot comment on them. So overall, I had a pleasant experience here and I highly recommend their açaí bowls. I look forward to trying the açaí tropical bowl next time.

It was my first time here and I ended up getting their famous acai bowl. I ordered their tropical bowl and I believed it was called pitaya? Surprisingly, it was really refreshing and filling I was way too full but I ate the entire bowl because it was that GOOD. My opinion I enjoyed Nekter than Jamba Juice because I can tell they are using real fruits and something about Nekter makes feel a lot healthier hehehe. Too bad they close super early 7pm):

Diggin’ the whole juice movement. Nekter has lots of delicious juices, smoothies, and acai bowls. My favorites are the toxin flush juice and the acai tropical bowl. This place is like the hipper, more expensive Jamba Juice, but it actually tastes/feels healthy! The kids(yes, they’re all so young) who work here are all super friendly, but definitely seem to be in their own world sometimes… aloof may be the right word… I also find it perplexing how I’ve seen 6 people behind the counter making juices with only 3 people in line but it still takes about 10 minutes to get my order. I tried to have them scan my rewards card after I had paid, once, and the girl just said she couldn’t do it after payment and then walked away… Anywho. The drinks are great but the service is weird.

I only come for the acai bowls, they’re delicious and really filling. A few things: 1. If you ever want to modify a bowl, expect that it’ll most likely be wrong. I’ve never had them NOT mess up a bowl I wanted modified. 2. You will always have to wait about 20 minutes – the cashiers are slow, sometimes they see you and make you wait to ring something up. 3. To avoid that, there is an app you can use to order food ahead of time… BUT it only works 40% of the time. But if you’re willing to put up with all of those things, Nekter is totally worth it!

This review is for 3.5 stars I have had juices and smoothies here before and all have been good. A lot of the green juices have ginger or celery in them that gives them a little bit of a kick, but enough apple to bring sweetness. The smoothies taste creamier and less artificial than some other fruit smoothies I have purchased. But recently, I don’t know what the heck came over me to make me think that a juice cleanse would be a good idea. Being the sometimes basic b*tch that I am, I decided… hey, maybe now would be a good time to try this fad that on the surface seems like a good idea, but is probably a huge sham. But alas, off I went to buy not ONE, but TWO signature classic cleanses. PROS: comes with a nifty bag that you could probably bring any other time you need to transfer a ton of juice containers or if you need to store food for a picnic or whatever. The juices aren’t really that bad. The signature classic comes with 6 juices — 3 green juices, one lemonade, a charcoal drink, and a cashew vanilla bean. Most of the time, you really don’t feel hungry just because your body has so much liquid. The green juices smell like vegetables and actually don’t taste that bad. key words: «that bad.» I wouldn’t necessarily describe them as good. The most enjoyable to me was the lemonade drink(#2) which contained agave nectar, cayenne pepper, and tumeric. The cayenne pepper kind of made it taste like spicy lemonade. This one went down the easiest. The charcoal drink(#4) wasn’t bad either. Just a little odd that the drink itself is completely black. Surprisingly, the cashew milk and agave nectar drink(#6), which I think was supposed to serve as the dessert drink was my least favorite. CONS: it’s juice. It’s NOT food. And while I was never really hungry throughout the day, I found myself missing eating. Missing food. Even missing chewing. No bueno. You are also literally drinking fluid all day long, so as expected, many bathroom breaks required. Overall, the juice cleanse was not difficult to complete(I may have had a couple of bites of food, but again, only because I missed eating not because I was hungry). Did I really feel that much better afterwards? Not really. But at least now I can check juice cleanse off the basic b*tch bucket list.

It’s time to update my review! Good news is that the staff are more knowledgable about the products and the staff are very friendly. Bad news is that I have yet to be wowed by the taste of the products. I usually stop by after my morning workout at the gym, right as they’re open. It’s unfortunate timing, but they don’t staff more than one person at opening, so I end up waiting a long time for my drink. I downloaded the app on my phone last week. Let’s give it a shot and see if ordering ahead will save me time. I figured the way to order the Acai bowl to my liking — add more agave sweetener.

I really wish these were as ubiquitous as Jamba Juice. I appreciate that I can get a smoothie here with nutritional value approaching what I’d make at home,(which would have a lot less sugar than Jamba Juice, and other common smoothie chains). Not sure what the deal is with all those plastic fruits and vegetables, but sure ;-)

Really cute juice shop that is basically the opposite of Jamba Juice. These pros are the real deal and luckily, they don’t charge you a trillion dollars for the product. No, it’s steal not cheap, but compared to other juice places + the quality + the service, I think I’m getting a pretty legit price. Plus they have wifi and a nice little outdoor patio area. The staff are friendly, the juices and smoothies they have on their menu board aren’t always my favorite, but I like that you can create your own blend and they don’t up-charge you an arm and a leg to do it. Lots of vegetable-based juices(great if you’re a cleanse person), smoothies with cashew milks and all that good stuff, and acai bowls. My roommate is addicted to the date nut smoothie and their cold brew blends, which pack a punch. Perfect for those long Silicon Valley days at the office.

This place is a gem! I enjoy coming here, there’s ample patio seating outside that’s perfect for a warm sunny day day. I would encourage first timers to get the acai bowls. So yummy! I’ve had the pitaya bowls before – they’re also good but much sweeter. As for the smoothies, I recommend going for the Date Nut smoothie if you’re into banana flavored smoothies. The dates aren’t blended too smoothly which gives the drink a nice chewy texture. I’ve had the Pink Flamingo but I’d skip on this and go for the Pitaya bowl instead if you’re into dragon fruit. The Pink Flamingo is pretty but it didn’t taste as good as it looks. If you’re into juicing, I’ve tried the Toxin Flush and it’s just as it sounds. It’s very strong in flavor and not that tasty – but if you’re into that stuff then it’ll probably be good to you! This place is kind of pricey but you really do get what you pay for. Fresh fruits and vegetables! Non of that sugary Jamba stuff, I just wish there were more locations!

Nektar is not your hipster cold-pressed juice place. Thank goodness! It’s so much more!!! They actually serve fresh squeezed juice and smoothies here. Yay!!! I always get the«Greenie» which is their signature juice drink. They juice all the yummy greens in front of you, and the recipe is a nice balance between spinach, apple, lemon and kale. It’s tasty and the price is excellent at around $ 5 for the 16 ounce. Whoohoo!!!

A top quality experience must treat all five senses and Nekter does it right. Sight: Upon entry you are greeted by copious amount of beautiful(fake but beautiful) color adorning the walls made up of baskets filled with fruit and veggies all screaming«eat me, we are delicious»(or at least that is what the voices in my head tell me). Not only is the layout visually pleasing and clean but there is also a quaint patio outside for you to enjoy your delectable healthy treat while watching the adventurous world around you. Smell: Remember those word associations from the SAT? Starbucks is to coffee aroma as Nekter is to ______? A) a walk through a fruit orchard B) being the star of your very own vitamix commercial C) the bath and body works of fresh produce D) all of the above. …if you haven’t figured it out. The correct answer is D. Taste: Although I have only tried two of their bowls and a few of the pre-packaged juices – I recommend it all! The PB and Acai berry bowls were delicious and filling, plus a great value for your money. The ‘grab and go’ juices are also great for a quick take away that will super power your body with what you need(protein, cleansing, vitamins, soothing). I feel everything is not only crafted for its health value but is also as a masterpiece that your taste buds can cheer! Sound: The space is often filled with the sound of the whirling blender, but what has also made me a fan is the enthusiastic and pleasant exchanges with the staff. Although this may fall in multiple of the sensory categories, the sounds and genuine care(and recommendations when I ask) from staff have been delightful. Touch: ok well you aren’t going swimming in a pool filled with smoothies, but if you did I bet it would be quite refreshing. I’m going to equate this sense to texture of the products(bowls) which I have found to be perfectly blended and smooth enough to feel like I am eating froyo but filled with enough toppings to leave me feeling full from a hearty meal. The mix of the blended ingredients with the granola is perfect for a smooth texture with just the extra little crunch to make things interesting. Five stars for a full five sensory experience. I’m a fan.

Have visited twice and ordered bowls both times. LOVE the PB bowl much, much more than the Acai Banana Berry– the acai at the bottom was way overpowering and too cold(reminded me of a berry flavored snow cone). Other highlights: never busy, smells delicious, tons of seating, and the bowls are not outrageously priced considering the quantity of delicious stuff you are getting. I enjoy swinging by on a Saturday or Sunday after running errands.

I’m not a huge Jamba Juice/smoothie fan so I was pretty reluctant to try this place but I’m so glad I did! When I came in, I was promptly and warmly greeted by the guy manning the counter. This was my first time so I was debating between the Cocoa smoothie and the Pink Flamingo. I asked the guy and he recommended the PF. I got my order pretty quickly(less than 3 minutes). I could see the guys in the back making the order. It was cool seeing how clean the workstation and overall store was. Everyone was wearing gloves, even the guy at the cash register. Even though I ordered(and was charged) the 16 Oz(small cup), either on purpose or by accident, I was upgraded to the larger cup. No complaints here :) The Pink Flamingo tasted naturally sweet, not a sickly-synthetic overly sweet that turns me off of Jamba Juice. I also loved the color of it! A vibrant, happy pink color. It just made my insides feel really happy. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating to chill with your friends. Next time, I’ll forgo froyo and come here instead!

Better than Jamba Juice hands down. Way healthier without all those added sugars. However my drink fell far from good… On the menu they mark the drinks that are great if it’s your first time end you’re unsure of what to get. So I choose The Buzz(carrot, orange, ginger, lemon) which is very similar to Jamba juice’s Citrus Kick juice. I’m a huge fan of ginger and was excited! I received my drink and it tasted more like JUST ginger juice and one sip had my mouth and throat burning. And I love ginger but this was farrrrrr too much even for me!!! Threw away the drink after a couple sips because it was not drinkable at all. My girlfriends drink on the other hand was great! She had the pink flamingo(pitaya, strawberries, agave nectar, coconut water) and wasn’t too sweet at all and it made you feel cool and refreshed. I would definitely come back to try other juices because they sound great, have a good thing going, and maybe my drink was just made bad that day or just wasn’t the one for me. Also will try the acai bowls!
