They were understaffed and overpriced. 10 minutes to get water, ~25 minutes for 1 entrée, tables left uncleared for significant lengths of time. For all of this during typical dinner hours on a weekend night, I was not impressed.

Discovered this place a couple months ago, not fancy but great food and service. The carnitas are really good and well worth coming back for.

Been there 3 times so far. Friendly staff and ok food. I liked the burrito more than the tacos. Haven’t had the margaritas yet.

I hope not many people read this because I don’t want this place to get too popular, but this is place is my new favorite Mexican food place in Mountain View without a doubt(sorry Los Charros). My girlfriend fully agrees too. For us, we love to start with ceviche(fish not shrimp). Theirs is by far the best in the area and some of the best I’ve had for the price(in the US). The tomatoes in it were fresh. The mixture of onion and cucumber were in the perfect light ratio to let the generous volume of fresh fish stand out. Somehow, it always tastes like they made the mixture just in time for my arrival. Over-marinading ceviche really messes up the flavor. One day I’m just going to make a meal of these tostadas but I always get distracted by other options on the menu. The whole fish diabla is deep fried and was good. It was a touch too crispy where the cook may have left it in the frier too long and the crisp reached into the meat a little. I could have gone with a little more kick in the diabla sauce but the sauce had some tasty smokey depth to it. The sopes are well prepared not too thick while being lightly crispy just enough to stand up to the beans and meat and the bounty of veggies, cheese, and sour cream piled on top. A comfort food for me. The cowboy tacos were delicious. I liked the grilled catcus and onion on top. With the good portion of meat inside, they almost overflowed but that’s not a complaint for me. The wet burrito had good sauces on it. It wasn’t the best burrito I’ve ever had, but it was good and well sized even for me(a big eater). Their carnitas are the way to go. I thought the other meat options were a little lacking in seasoning and flavor(not a real knock for me as I just avoid them). Just do NOT order the margarita. They use an agave based liquor(I believe) but the big problem was that it was too sweet to drink. Maybe just a bad attempt by our particular server but it was enough that I wouldn’t try it again. Water or beer works for me. I hear the micheladas are good and I’ve seen plenty of other tables order them.

Great food, one of the best micheladas too. I love the décor and ambiance. I even took some pics with it. If you take a date here it’ll definitly make here happy. The bathroom is clean. I like the curtains on the way to the bathroom. The burritos and super taco’s are super good. The chips and salsa are free . The portions are really good

Short story= place is just ok. I guess if you live close by or grew up coming here then I guess it’s «good/5 star» but after my 2nd trip here now, can’t say this place stands out. Portion size is good, seating is good, they have TVs, good drink selection. Its just the food doesn’t stand out. It’s ok when you only have a 30 min lunch and work down the street, but not worth going out of your way is all. I got burritos both times and they had a very light flavor taste to them, size is pretty standard compared to other places, definitely needed sauce to get some taste. Hope this helps. If you’re around its worth a try, not a spot to brag about is all.

Good tacos. Beans and rice were pretty good as well. Much better food then it’s near by competitor Los altos taqueria.

I’m a fan mostly because of the service and not really because of the food. The staff is always friendly and the ambiance is expected Mexican family restaurant. The food is also pretty standard, though the menu is much more extensive than expected(ask for it, don’t look at the board above the ordering area). One of a few places in the area that actually serves nopales.

Free chips and salsa. Super nachos quite filling. Pastor. Good for three. Tacos: pastor, asada, carnitas(dry) Grilled pepper side order available. Fish burrito — fish good but inside plain. Ask for no beans less rice, more guac.

This restaurant has apparently been near our house for 12 years but because of the way the road splits, you can’t see any sign for this restaurant. When we found it and realized that it’s a short walk, we were excited. However, this restaurant is inconsistent. Sometimes we go, the food is great, the service polite and quick and the atmosphere friendly. Other times we go and although the food is still good, the service is slow, it’s hard to get the servers attention and lately it’s been impossible to get our check. We no longer wait. When we are ready to go, we go to, the register and pay. This is an authentic Mexican restaurant so maybe being non-Mexican, this is only an issue for us, but we often go in and the music on the jukebox is playing… VERYLOUD. It is Mexican music with lots of horns and you can’t even hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation with your party. The first time, we asked them if they could turn down the music and they did. It was very pleasant after that. The next couple of times we asked, the person behind the counter(don’t know if it was the owner) rolled his eyes at us and turned it down very little. It was still way too loud but he was so nasty about it that we didn’t ask again. Again, I don’t know if it only bothered us but I like to have a nice meal and visit. We have gone other times for lunch when the jukebox isn’t playing and it was very pleasant. We will continue to go here because we do like the food but if we go in during jukebox time, we will order to-go.

We’ve been ordering here via Fluc and been very happy with the taste and quality of the food, as well as the prompt service and good packaging. Very good guac, authentic carne asada, and good care in prep. Good choice for ordering in. Tortillas are super-fresh and tasty. For 5 stars, I would have to agree that some of the sauces are nothing special.

Great homemade food ! Not a taqueria, but a real Mexican restaurant in the old traditional way. I’m stuck on the chile verde, the sauce is authentic the pork lean and very tender. My girlfriend is Mexican born so I brought her here to see if the gringo boyfriend can spot the gems and sure enough she loves the food. It’s a little off the beaten path so you have to drive here on purpose but it sure beats trying to park downtown, they have their own parking lot. When we come for dinner it’s not crowded but it should be !!

Im sorry but unfortunately this place just isn’t for me. I ordered the red chicken enchiladas which include a side or rice and beans. I’ve tried many Mexican restaurants and this one by far has to be ‘one’ of my least favorites. Let me explain why: The enchiladas were ok– the taste just doesn’t seem original to me. It tasted like a red sauce out of a can, if that’s even possible. Same goes for the beans. The rice was also ‘just okay’, no great flavor that keeps you wanting more. Not to mention the side portions were also rather small(I guess that really doesn’t matter if you don’t enjoy the food to begin with). I cant say this is the worst place I’ve ever had but definitely not one that I’d recommend.

We have used Las Muchachas for catering at our parties and the food has always been the talk of the party. So delicious and they are very professional. Definitely recommend them and I will be using them again soon! Gracias Nuvia Presila

First time trying. Came in around 3:30 on a Wednesday afternoon with a buddy and it was only us there. Which I didn’t mind. It was 3:30. Nice clean spot, with outdoor seating. Service was quick and efficient. Ordered the three lengua taco meal with rice and beans. Tacos were great. Tender lengua, but the corn tortillas were the focal point. I even had my very first Michelada(bloody mary made with your choice of beer with spices) served in a Das Boot too! Very refreshing! Oh btw– they have a juke box! Don’t know if it just had strictly mexican music, but you can go and find out for yourself!

I like this place. I would have given it more stars but have only tried one item on the menu, though I’ve had it four times! I order the enchilada plate and it’s always 4 star. I usually order chicken, but ordered pork, beef, and chicken last time. I wouldn’t recommend the pork or beef since it’s a little tough and hard to chew. The chicken is much better. I plan to order some of the seafood dishes and will update this review in the future. You order at the window underneath the menus on the wall and someone will bring the food out to you and bus your dishes, but no tip is required. — — — 9÷1÷14 update, ordered the jumbo shrimp fajitas. It was pretty good, but they should really take the«jumbo» off the title since the shrimp are regular size.

This is everything you would expect from a Mexican restaurant — not fancy, good prices and the best thing… Good food. The chili Relleno sauce is clearly home made, the chili batter is airy and not thick like pancho villas! Good food great prices — The authentic hand made corn tortillas are just amazing and great in the home made soups! The only down fall is the very loud flat screen TV’s playing news and/or Latino music videos depending on when you arrive. The music videos are not exactly kid friendly. The food is authentic —

I’m surprised that nobody was there on a Thursday evening. The food was actually very good. Service was Excellent. The music was loud when we walked in but the owner realized it and turn down the volume. The food was prepared freshly and it was so hot. The décor needs some update.
