Had an issue with noise coming from motor of my furnace. Company was referred to me through my home warranty company. I called late in the afternoon and was first told that they didn’t have any appointment for a week, but after checking with one of their techs, I was located conveniently on the way back to their facility and that they could fit me in. 30 minutes later Igor showed up at my door. Nice guy in an unsuspecting minivan. Showed him to the furnace to let him diagnose the issue.
Let me stop for a second. I should preface this by saying I had another, more advertised company come take a look. Charged me $ 85 just for a visit. A tech came over, turned on the unit, commented on the age of it (about 17 years old), didn’t touch a thing and when the noise started up, immediately said I needed a new motor cause the bearings were going bad. Part to be replaced: $ 800+. Then said, because of age that I should look into maybe replacing the whole furnace. Started with saying he’d recommend the $ 6000 model. Asked for something comparable to what I have, said $ 4000. I know I have an old furnace, but thing was well maintained. Said I’d think about it and sent him on his way.
Back to Igor. He took the time to inspect all of the inners of the furnace, and physically removed the motor to inspect. Turns out there was just a loose part causing an imbalance creating the noise. After a $ 100 deductible, And about an hours time, Igor was on his way. Very nice, very professional and very detail oriented. I would recommend this company for your HVAC needs.

Last year when we experienced «Chiberia» our heat went out due to a bad system board. Eugene from Home Guard not only was able to get it replaced the same day, but also didn’t charge an arm and a leg for it!
All together we have used Home Guard many times already. They have helped with doing my HVAC inspection when we purchased our house. They have fixed our unit when it went down, as well as regular maintenance. I have recommended them to both family and friends and so far everyone has been happy with the service.

Great company! Technicians knowledgeable. My heat stopped working in the middle of the night, so I called to Home guard and they fixed the problem, after that everything is working well.

Our AC stopped working in the middle of the summer heat wave, and the house was getting hotter as the evening went by. We called Home Guard at 9pm in the evening, and they came out right away. He was at our house within 30 minutes, identified the issue right away and had the right replacement part in the truck! He replaced the part quickly and the house started getting cooler! aaaah… Thank you Home Guard! Definitly recommend!

I call yesterday and made an appointment for today to have someone look at my malfunctioning air conditioner. The appointment was for 2pm. 90 minutes late, their technician has neither showed up, nor called to explain. Their office has not answered a single phone call.
Their actual service may be fine — if they care about having your business enough to bother showing up to do the work.

Home Guard came out to an emergency we had and I’m glad we called them, because they were very professional, understanding of our needs and reasonably priced. Definitely on my recommendation list to all my friends
