Don’t go for the food. I had the burger«lunch special» and it was one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had. For $ 7 I got an over seasoned, over cooked, dry burger served on sandwich thins??? I rechecked the menu & you can up grade to a better bun for $ 1 extra(what a rip)! The pasta salad had way too much going on, and entirely too much dressing. The best part of the meal was the pickle spear, from a jar. Times are hard. I left disappointed, and still hungry. They do have drink specials so maybe it’s ok as a watering hole?

Beers on tap are always delicious. Everything on menu half priced on Tuesday night except for oysters/crawdads. Can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Staff is always friendly and service is great!

Second visit and last visit. After over 10 minutes to get our drink order I started timing the rest of the service. 38 minutes from order until food delivery. Food quality was fair to good. Service was disappointing. If you want a place to eat and drink that you can let you ill-mannered children to run amok, the this might just be your kind of place.

Mahi mahi tacos and Salad were great and good selection of beer. Cozy pub not to noisy, quick service and quick seating. Good value overall. We will definitely be going again.

Wasn’t that great! Gave 2 stars bc our waiter was awesome. My kids ordered the chicken tenders which came out practically burnt and the wrap I got was very very bland! The only thing good was the fried pickles. So I would only recommend this place if u want a cold beer and fried pickles

The burgers were excellent and good service as well. The menu is limited. If you want many more options than burgers you will be disappointed. No deserts either. I like this place so I will end with a positive. Good atmosphere

My husband and I decided to take our daughter there today for an early lunch. Around 11:30. We were the 4th table in there and there were maybe 2 at the bar. One server for the whole restaurant, which quickly filled up as we waited… And waited… And waited 45 minutes for our food. I ordered the lunch special burger, which said would come on a sandwich round. What they didn’t say that it was one of those 100 calorie thin buns and it was like a cracker it was so stale. I understand that the server couldn’t help she was the only one there, but she could help the customer service factor. Zero refills. No «how is everything?». No «sorry about your wait». And where is the manager??? If I know my ONE server is getting hauled through the mud, why would he or she not be out their checking on the customers or helping??? Will not be back.

Stopped in for lunch on my hour break. Excellent service and food. Staff was able to get me in and out with a smile to be back to the grind with a few minutes to spare. Food was great and they also have an excellent Craft beer selection. Prices were fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend it and make it apart of my lunch rotation.

It is very hard for me to give this place 3 stars because if it wasn’t for the nice server they would get 2 stars. We arrived and sat at the bar; and we waited as they don’t have a bartender. Finally a server got us some drinks and took our order. We started off with the fried green tomato tower because of pictures here on Unilocal; but that was far from what we received. It was OK but cold. For dinner we had the IOP and the Caw Caw burgers which both were OK but took an hour to cook. The side of onion rings were cold and the pasta salad was just horribly disgusting. Although service took a while to acknowledge us and was slow at least the staff was nice; but that won’t bring me back.

Our waitress, Kellie, was spot on and awesome! She is probably the only reason for the two stars. I went with the regular burger and the bun was old and the meat was overcooked and incredibly dry. It took a lot of ketchup and swigs of my SEVEN dollar beer to get it down, most likely the worst burger ever made by mankind. The wife ordered the daily wrap special which advertised feta cheese but came with blue cheese(obvious difference) and when she bit into it a large amount of liquid shot out the other end. Our waitress was working very hard while several other staff members were shooting the crap and doing pretty much nothing the entire visit. Overall we were disappointed with the food here and will most likely never return. We showed up at opening and they still didn’t unlock the doors until ten minutes later. I have heard many good things about this place but it just didn’t happen for us.

Stopped in for lunch — food was pretty good(especially the french fries), but it took awhile to come out. This was kinda annoying as we were in a bit of a rush, and there were only about three other tables with people when we walked in. All of their burgers can be substituted with a chicken breast sandwich, which is pretty cool. Waitress was friendly.

Terrible food… terrible service. Took forever to get the check. Everything was over salted, and the pickle chips were over breaded to the point that there was barely any pickle. Very, very disappointing.

My husband and I ventured to Pawley’s Front Porch for lunch today. It was our first time at the Mt. Pleasant location, but we’ve been to the Columbia SC location a few times and always liked it. This location is much different, as it’s in a shopping center near a grocery store. There’s ample parking, cornhole on the sidewalk, and a patio for dogs. However, there is no actual«porch» like the Columbia location. We were totally fine with that, though. Pawley’s does occasional Facebook/email gift card giveaways, they send out specials, etc. They also post pictures of the food and specials– which makes me hungry! It gets me excited and I love it when restaurants are active on social media. As far as drinks go, we didn’t get any… but they have great specials. Saturday at lunch, they had $ 2 mimosas or bloody marys. Lots of people were taking advantage of it and also sitting outside– it was a pretty day. The service was great. Our food came quickly and we were checked on several times, they always brought us extra sauces we needed, etc, and very quickly. The restaurant was not packed, and there was no wait, but it was steady. In addition, there is a Charleston«Enjoy The City» coupon book, where they have some Pawley’s coupons. The occasional promotions definitely help save money. The coupon was buy one entrée, get one free, and Pawley’s took our coupon with no questions asked. I had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries, which was delicious. The portobello mushrooms on it are marinated and slightly sweet, giving a nice contrast from the usual saltiness at other burger restaurants. The sweet potato fries were worth the 50 cents upcharge, as you get tons of them and will most likely have some left over(I did!). I tasted my husband’s onion rings. They have a buffalo kick in the batter and were crispy, hot, and delicious. Our portions were large and comparable to Columbia location(which was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives). If you do not like burgers, there are chicken sandwich options, tacos(including shrimp tacos!), and salads. Pawley’s is a little out of way for us to eat at frequently, since we live in West Ashley. If we lived in Mt. Pleasant, it would probably be on our regular rotation. We will return again when we’re in the Mt. Pleasant area for errands and events.

Burgers were good. Fried pickles were way to salty. Told the waitress they were to salty to eat, she said«yeah some ask for no salt added they give me a headache.» Paid $ 7 for inedible fried pickles basket still full when she brought out the check. I didn’t bitch, but I’m writing this review.

Pauley’s Front Porch was an unexpected surprise! It’s far better than the Beef O’ Brady’s that was there before. Be sure to follow what«Chef Kyle» recommends for the type of bun for your burger… he’s usually right. And the onion rings are great! They aren’t «hot» like they say… wish they were… but still very good. The best part is the mason jars they give(when they are in supply). Refills for beers on tap are $ 3! The best deal in town!

This is one of the local places I go to play trivia. Every Thursday night at 8 they have team trivia with a chance to win $ 50 house cash. The trivia here is pretty fair and everyone has a chance to win. Tonight for the first time I actually had an entrée and I thought it was great. I had the Wadmawlaw burger. It is one of the better burgers that I have had in Charleston. The prices are great here and the atmosphere is also really cool. I would recommend this place to everyone! The coolest thing about Pawley’s is the mason jar special. Make sure you ask them about that.

We used to love this place. Close by, good vibe n food. But WOW last night worst dining experience in my life and that’s saying something! Service was horrible! Food was terrible! Manager didn’t come to table until we demanded, he said they going through ‘transition stage’ owner never around! Well who ever owns this place had better WAKEUP! Your restaurant is dying! Fast! It wasn’t even busy, Saturday night maybe 10 ppl at 8pm, what’s the excuse? Save your money, don’t eat at this place!

Stopped in last night with a couple friends to grab a bite to eat. None of us had ever been to Pawley’s before so we figured we would give it a shot. We sat down at the bar and were pleasantly greeted by the bartender to take our drink orders and get us some menu’s. She seemed genuinely happy to have us there which you can’t always say when you walk into a place. Being that we just happened upon the place I didn’t do any prior investigative research to find out the burgers are supposedly amazing. I didn’t even look over the menu to see the selection because I looked at the specials menu and saw two things right away that perked my interest. One was the Sweet Tea Tilapia and the other was a wrap with fried chicken, bacon, blue cheese, field greens, and hot sauce. I wasn’t in a seafood mood so I went with the wrap. It was delicious! Fries were great too. Turns out Thursday is trivia night and it was just about to start. We dicided to stick around for a few drinks(other contributing factor: $ 3 Jim Beam night) and see if we could win back what we just spent on dinner. Unfortunately, 50 Shades of Alcohol(our team name) couldn’t cut the mustard and we lost miserably. On the bright side, we had a great time and and got a good meal. I will definitely be back to try the burger although it seems like everything is pretty tasty. Decent beers on tap from New Belgium and Left Hand Brewing to name a couple. Prices were pretty low as well

I love this place. They have a real happy hour from 4:00 — 7:00 p.m. and $ 3 excellent beer specials. Wednesday is also $ 3 draft night! I had a burger(my standard control to see how the restaurant is) and it was great — the server definitely put my order in as rare and my husband’s as medium rare but it was no biggie. They give you a MOUNTAIN of fries — JR C. got the Frank’s onion rings as a side and those thing were freaking amazing. Very chill atmosphere on a Wednesday night, acceptable service… I will definitely be back.

Pawley’s isn’t so much a chain as it is a two restaurants that are owned by the same people. I had been to the one in Columbia a few months ago after I mentioned to a friend that I was in the Capitol of South Carolina. Pawley’s got a spot on «Diners, Drive-ins and Dives»( ) and it sold me right there — they grind their own beef. So when I happened to spot this outlet here in Mount Pleasant, I knew that I had to stop in for a great burger. And a great burger it was. I chose the«Isle of Palms» which comes with pimento cheese and jalapeño bacon on a pretzel roll bun. And with it, the onion rings. As I spent some time in the Charleston and Mount Pleasant area, I learned that each of their burgers — Kiawah, Sullivan’s, etc. — is named after one of the nearby parts of the area. And of course, there’s an Isle of Palms not far away. I ordered it rare even though I usually go with medium rare and it’s usually too well done. Well this rare was indeed rare. Cool red center but nicely charred on the outside. You could really taste the meat here and no, I had no digestion problems later.(I’m sure they’ll make your burger how you like it.) Onion rings were nice and crisp(though a little greasy) and soaked up the ketchup perfectly. Yummah! Beer specials include lots of locally brewed ones and I had one of those. Even though I was tempted to have another, I had to drive. Bummer. Next time! Several TV’s on the walls for catching the sports.
