The food was mostly pretty good. The Aussie sampler was hot and brought out in a timely fashion, but the mac and cheese bites were slightly overcooked and the Aussie chips didn’t have any bacon. We each had sirloins that were seared nicely, cooked to the appropriate temperatures, and deliciously seasoned. The service, however was pretty pathetic. Our waitress only stopped back twice after taking our orders — once to ask if the food was ok and take care of the check. The rest of our service was handled by various other staff. Worst of all, the restaurant was ridiculously hot. According to our waitress, the air conditioner hasn’t been working for several weeks, and won’t be repaired before the end of the month. If this was any other time of the year, it wouldn’t be so bad, but when they can’t even keep the water cold with ice because it melts immediately, waiting for a repair isn’t ok. The heat made the staff miserable, and our meal very uncomfortable.

This outback was the worst. The service was slow and we got out food, it was cold. I love Outback but I would not return to this one.

Great food from a chain restaurant but this place hits it out of the park with service, friendliness and overall good time to be had

Went here the other night for dinner. There were open tables, but we still had to wait(I assume because they were understaffed). Food was okay, but the service was terrible. Refills took forever and the waiter kept getting the wrong beer from the bar. Asked for silverware & to go boxes repeatedly and the waiter still couldn’t get that right. No one was actively busting the tables around us and the assistants to the hostess kept walking around(I assume timing each table) when they needed to be helping with the waiting staff. I chose this location over the WA one because of the poor service I received there, but it looks like this location isn’t any better. Some serious changes need to be made before I will return to this location.

Decent steak. But DONOT get the garlic mashed potatoes. WAY too garlic-y, the worst mashed potatoes I’ve ever had

If we weren’t given a gift card, we would never go to Outback. September 2014– great service; inedible food. November 2014– adequate service; not great food. December 2015 — my son and his wife; horrible food(most uneaten) and so so service. Today, January 2016 — we all ordered burgers and upgraded meat. No changes to menu items; so, should be easy. I ordered a Caesar salad as my side and the others ordered fries. The restaurant was not busy and service should have been great. Our server was slow and our food had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp at least thirty minutes because it had took 55 minutes from our order to being served our food. He forgot my salad and when I asked for it he returned with a soggy and inedible one as it had been sitting a very long time. We were not rude and did not discuss the food with our server because we knew it would not have resulted in better food. My son left the waiter, same guy and it had only been 4 days, the balance on his gift card as a tip which was $ 43.00. On a $ 57.00 meal. You’d think he would have shown a little more interest from such a big tip. Our tip was $ 45.00 on a $ 55.00 tip. We decided the food is so gross, we would never return so there was no need for retrieving the balance from the gift cards. We have given numerous opportunities for the food and service to improve. Ain’t gonna happen and we will sell our gift cards, please, no more, to Cardpool.

Went there tonight even after saying the last time would be the last time. Took forever to get our water, not very busy so don’t understand the wait, salads came out right before meals after we asked about them. No croutons on salad. My steak had to go back as it was under cooked. Hubby was almost finished by the time I got mine fixed the way I Ordered it. Well, we left there tonight saying it will be our last time.

I love Outback, but tonight I am very disappointed. I ordered wings and blooming onion, my onion looks like left over put together. It was dried out and filled with grease and part of it still has raw batter. I open the celery and it was covered with black dots, I thought it was pepper. When I looked closely I found out its dirt, the celery was not wash at all and some of them were brown. The wings was dry, the only thing me and my husband enjoyed was the bread.

Service was not great. We didn’t get our bread till we asked and it was about 15 – 20 min after we ordered. The food was good for a chain restaurant. Our waiter was okay it was more so the manager and assistant server that was unfriendly. When we asked for bread they seemed irritated. That’s not good when there are so many restaurants to choose from in Mt. Pleasant.

This was my first experience at the Mt. P location. As I entered the staff were very friendly and seated me right away even though my party wasn’t quite there yet. Our server, Jessica, was very attentive and always made sure our drinks were full and our plates were cleared when it was time. She even made sure she and her team didn’t forget to sing Happy Birthday to my sister. To start we all shared a Bloomin’ Onion — can’t go wrong here — delicious as always. This time I decided to try something new. I ordered the Filet Tips. They came together with peppers and onions. The meat was very tender, but the sauce was a bit too salty for me. The fresh steamed vegetables and the asparagus I had were delicious. As always a great dining experience from start to finish. Enjoy!

We’ve visited this Outback a couple times and it’s alright. When I want a steak I don’t go to Outback because I’ve never had a really good steak here, but they do make a great french onion soup and their burgers are decent. During lunch that is what I got; the burger and soup combo for $ 7.99; but there was a $ 1 upcharge for the french onion soup since it is a bowl and not a cup of soup like the other soup choices. Other than the soup and burger; they have alright coconut shrimp. The staff here has always been pretty good. The hostess has been friendly enough sitting us when we walked in; there wasn’t many people in there either time we went. The first time we sat at the bar and the bartender did a pretty good job at taking care of us, but he could have used a little more personality; he was pretty much blah for a bartender. The second time the server we had did a great job at greeting us, taking our order, bringing out our drinks and food, and doing a check back on us.

Very disappointed with this Outback. So much so that we would never go back which is rare because we will typically give a place several chances. My husbands filet came out with the biggest piece of gristle running through the filet. It took forever to her our waitress back to tell her and they weren’t that busy. Finally when she came back she apologized and said she would take it off the tab. The manager came back and apologized as well. Them came time to get our check, again waitress no where to be found. We finally asked another employee and they too couldn’t find our waitress. Finally when she did show up, I have her my credit card and asked her to close us out as we were now in a hurry. Again she disappeared for a long time and came back. She dropped off my card and bill and thanked us for coming. The filet was still on the tab and again the fun begins with trying to locate our server. Oh did I mention they weren’t even that busy. I for one don’t like my meals to cause me heartburn and this experience did.

This is my 2nd time here. I am a sort of an outback fan and think this is the worst one I have ever been to twice only because I believe in 2nd chances. I live close by and will not go back a 3rd time. I would have only gave this review one star but the beer was cold and that deserves a star by it’s self. There is only ONETV at the bar, «you should have seen the ONETV prior to my second visit» I believe it was a 27″ … I ordered the burger, it was greasy like Burger King or McDonalds. The wait was long for a burger as well, I ate half of it and was never asked how everything was. I would just have to expect more from an Outback located in Mt. Pleasant or Charleston. Obviously this is only a place to go if your Over 60 and don’t like sports or can taste the food. I will 100% blame the management staff for successfully making this the worst Outback I have ever been to. Thanks.

If this is the best that Outback has to offer then they just need to go ahead and shutter their doors. I do not know if I just did not have taste buds as a kid or if Outback really has fallen that much. I am thinking more of the latter because I do have fond memories of Outback when I was younger. The food was just terrible. There really is no way around it. My salad was small, not fresh and the dressing tasted horrible. My steak was no better. I ordered medium and got burnt! It was really tough and grey the whole way through. Our server was nice enough for me to not give this place 1-star even though that is where the food quality is at. Do yourself a favor and just pick up a steak from the supermarket.

Wings, glaze has no flavor, dipping sauce, no better… ordered a rib steak, my first thought it was a cube steak, again, no flavor, after a few bites, I was longing for a Big Mac… Ice tea was pretty good… and good service, only reason I gave 2 stars

Having never been to an Outback Steakhouse before, my expectations were fairly low, as I’m not a fan of chain restaurants. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was GREAT! Our server, Hailey was knowledgable and very accommodating, and added a great deal to my overall star rating. The Mahi was juicy and flavorful, and the salad was fresh & crisp. It’s unlikely I would return, as ours was a last minute decision, but kudos to Hailey for the positive impression!

Not a big fan of chains, but had a very friendly staff and the meal I had was very well done, despite my arriving close to their closing time. Everyone that was there waiting on customers were friendly and attentive which makes a big difference at places that you might consider middle of the road.
