These guys are great! They are so nice, helpful, and accommodating. I have bought glasses online twice now and even though I didn’t buy them from LCVC they were always willing to help me figure out issues with the lenses…(lesson learned finally, don’t buy lenses online). I will never go anywhere else cause they truly know the definition of customer service!

I learned more about my eyes that I ever knew after visiting Low Country Vision Center. Almost 10 years ago I have lasix and lately my eyes have been getting tired, so I thought it would be a good time to get them checked out. Dr. Shinners helped me understand more about how my eyes don’t focus as quickly the older I get and that, although my eyes are very strong for my age, they will weaken over time. So the eye tests that he had me do actually made sense because I thought they were just to find out my prescription. 2 things about their selection of glasses. First, they offer a lens that is specifically for people that are behind a computer quite a bit. I didn’t really qualify for the lens, but probably will in a couple of years. Dr. Shinners could have gotten me into the new lens, but he said they are fairly expensive, so it didn’t make sense to get them unless I really needed them. The other thing was their wide selection of Oakleys and Maui Jim’s. They also have a line of glasses that i liked that didn’t have rims on them, but it make more sense to get Oakleys. I would recommend visiting if you either need glasses, good sunglasses, or just have to get your eyes checked out. Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. I also like to support businesses that help in the community and I learned that Dr. Shinners helps give free eye checkups to kids downtown.
