Dr. majors is very thorough, knowledgable with a caring professional demeanor. I never feel rushed, answers all questions and feel safe in his care. I was very impressed with his caliber of expertise and pride takes in making his services being of excellence. He is also well respected in the community and highly regarded as an Excellent eye care provider. I had an issue with, what I thought was Eyesight failure but he discovered a whole in my retina, took a picture to confirm and personally processed information, with picture and sent it to a retinal specialist. I was fortunate to have him recommended by another Dr. with my recent move from Washington state. Most impressive! Highly recommend him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Majors for about 5 years and it is an appointment that I look forward to each year. The staff is welcoming, informed and always take the extra step to ensure your comfort. I have sent several friends to Long Point Eye Center because I know they will be valued and well cared for.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for eye care! Each time I visited, I waited almost an hour before I was seen by the doctor. The front office staff also took forever to even acknowledge me. They started gossiping at the check in desk which I thought was completely unprofessional. Months after these visits, I received a notice about a debt that was bogus. I never received a bill in the mail so how was I supposed to know I had a debt? This place obviously does not care about its clients. GOSOMEWHEREELSE!

I have been seeing DR. Majors for almost nine years and would not see another optomotrist! His staff is always friendly and ready to assist. Dr. Majors himself is very knowledgable and easy to talk to about any concerns related to your eyes and eye care. The addition of a new glasses provider has been a great addition! They have a great selection of frames to choose from.

I have been seeing Dr Majors and his associates for almost three years. I have since brought two of my daughters here and we all love them. They are very professional and attentive. I have seen him for glasses and contact prescription and fittings. He also is an expert in LASIK and other corrective options. He referred me to a company called TLC in Greenville, and I have had an amazing experience there as well. I know others that have had this surgery done locally and the results where not like mine in comfort or vision quality. I trust Dr Majors not only with my vision, but my family’s eyes as well. I can see clearly now!!! Thanks Dr Majors

I came in here after looking to see which offices nearby accept VSP insurance. After getting a local list, I checked out the reviews and decided to go here. Many mention Dr. Majors and how great he is. I didn’t meet with him as I already had a Rx and was just browsing for a new pair of glasses. He probably is great and I only had experience with one aspect of their office, but I can’t say I’d be thrilled about going back. I came in and nobody greeted me. I saw the waiting room, but I wasn’t here for the Dr. so I kind of wandered into the eyeglass showroom. I didn’t have an appointment so I wasn’t expecting to be waited on hand and foot. After 10 minutes of browsing, George came in and then went into the office to work on something. After a few minutes, he poked his head out and said to let him know if I needed help. Buying a pair of glasses is usually a bit of decision making process and with hundreds to choose from it can be overwhelming. Some guidance would have been nice. Finally after browsing for 15 — 20 mins, I set aside a few pairs that I liked and prompted George that I had some questions. He in no way attempted to help me choose styles before that. As I tried on the different frames going back and forth between them he made odd and somewhat condescending comments. I remember one specifically where I was going between two black pairs and he said«The only difference is that one is bigger, it doesn’t make sense for them to be bigger unless you’re going for fashion.» I suggested that all eye-wear decisions are based on fashion no matter what the style because that’s what a particular person feels comfortable in. Shouldn’t a person want to look good in their glasses… you know, the ones they wear every day and spent hundreds of dollars on? After a couple more weird exchanges with him, I decided on a pair I liked. George pulled up my insurance info and in doing so, we discovered that I was mistaken about a pair of glasses being included in my yearly benefit(that was my old policy I guess) and my frames were only included every two years. That mainly the reason I was pushing to get a pair so quickly as it was close to the end of the year. I decided that I wasn’t that happy about how things were going so far and it was beneficial to wait a few months to get my renewed benefit. Probably worked out for the best. I will say that the selection was pretty good and the office is very nice. As others have stated, you may have a very different experience than I, but after looking back, the whole thing was an uncomfortable and awkward one. I had a friend with me who felt exactly same way about the whole thing… very strange.

Have been seeing Dr. Majors for almost 10 years, and have been very pleased with his expertise, professionalism, and sincere interest in his patients. He is very thorough with his exams, and provides great advice for eyecare and eyewear. I would recommend him and center to everyone. They also have a good selection of frames and I always find something I like to wear.

Dr Curry was the best Doctor I’ve been too. Friendly, courteous answering questions, honest on what all options were and about unnessary measures. Top Notch!

I have been going to Long Point Eye Center and Dr. Majors for 10 years. The office is clean, well-decorated, and relaxing; and the technical equipment is top-notch. The staff has always been very friendly, and Dr. Majors and his optician, Tina Harbit, are both excellent in their fields. Dr. Majors has a gift of not only determining proper vision correction, but also of diagnosing disease through the eye exam. It was he who sent me for a blood test that determined I have an auto-immune disorder and got me on the road to managing that, all because of an eye exam. Everyone at Long Point Eye Center will work diligently to meet all your needs!

I was very impressed with this optometry center. I was in search of an optometrist for my 8-year-old daughter for her first eye exam. I was so pleased with how gentle, patient, thorough, and kind Dr. Curry was with my daughter. My daughter felt so comfortable and not at all intimidated with her first eye exam. I too visited soon after for an annual exam and was so pleased with the service I received from Dr. Curry. I highly recommend her for anyone searching for a new Eye Care Professional. Great with children and adults.

I’ve been going to Dr. Majors for… I don’t know… at least 8 years now. I have astigmatisms in both eyes and I’m practically blind. So I’m there about twice a year for my eye exams and my contact hook-ups. And they make it pretty painless. I’m usually in and out with minimal wait time and everyone is super friendly. It seems my eyes are always changing so there are sometimes where he’ll send me home with a new trial pair and they end up not working out and we end up having to try one or two other types of contacts, but we always get there!
