This store is great, you can find almost anything. The Fruits and Veggies section is my favorite, always bright, always fresh, always watered. The employees are friendly, helpful, Kind and very attentive. I also love the Seafood Section it’s worth the money. The store is clean and spacious. I love to find the«Clearance tags».

Avoid the cold cut and sandwich counter at all costs. The service is poor and the staff are slow and unfriendly. Hopefully once the renovations are done they will pull it together.

Harris Teeter bought the Ben Sawyer location of Piggly Wiggly during the Pig’s sell off … the transition was smooth … and it looks like most of the helpful, courteous staff stayed on. With exception of Whole Foods, this HT location is the only supermarket within 3 miles, with a fresh fruit/salad and olive bar. Also, HT often(maybe always) redeems double the face amount on manufacture’s coupons(up to one dollar) and can really pay off. And, HT’s floral department is a notch above the selections at Bi/Lo and Publix. In fact, they carry many of the same flowers that sell for much higher prices at Whole Foods and Southern Season. Grocery items are similar to its competitors. The best part… after spending $ 50 … you can purchase a $ 25 Shell or BP gas card. Now, that’s a real saving and by far, the best deal around!

This HT used to be a Piggly Wiggly, and they are renovating it. I’ve visited a time or two, they always had what I wanted in stock, but they don’t carry as much merchandise as other HT stores. For example, they don’t have as many flavors of yogurt, things like that. I’ve found that to be true with all the HT’s that were once Piggly Wiggly stores. It’s also a smaller store. I didn’t have any issues with the workers or finding anything, and the cashier was courteous.

Since the conversion from Piggly Wiggly to Harris Teeter not much has changed in this store except maybe the signage, store brand foods, and floor being swept. It looks exactly as it did when it was the Pig. The layout was the same, the same rude employees still there(not all are rude, but a few). I was hoping that after the conversion that I was going to walk into a store that had been renovated to be more like a Teeter; but it just didn’t feel like a Teeter. Although I’m not too big of a fan right now, it does appear they may still be making improvements. One thing I noticed was they are bringing back the growler selection to this store.
