Everytime I have gotten a slice of pizza, I have terrible stomach pains for the rest of the day!

We had a Living Social voucher for here. The menu said $ 6.75 for a roast beef hoagie and $ 3.+ for fries. Water was 1.75. I ordered two hoagies, one fry and a water and the tab came to 23+ bucks! I’m not a math wiz but this does not add up! They jacked up the prices when they saw the voucher. Sandwich was good, not great. Will not return…

You know… I actually went here about a year ago and it wasn’t awful but it sure wasn’t good. Went there today for lunch and it was far far better. My coworker had an egg and spinach sandwiche that looked great(he said it was perfect). I had a cheesesteak hoagie. I liked it alot, the only thing I would have preferred is iceberg lettuce as opposed to romaine. The meat was perfectly cooked with the right amount of cheese and good seasoning. The roll was good and fresh and the server was attentive and really pleasant(hence the 40% tip). Would readily try again and probably recommend.

Stopped in here recently and got a couple hoagies with a co-worker. We shared a «Bulldog» and a «South Jersey». Good stuff, fairly priced for a large portion but wouldn’t recommend trying to drive and eat one of these — they can get messy!

I ate here every day on my lunch break for 4 months straight. Great, consistently good food, reasonable prices, and good people. Try the sausage niño Parm. Epic.

Full menu. We stayed at the Staybridge Suites and had pizza carryout. Two large pizzas(and they were LARGE), cheese and hawaiian came to about $ 32 including tax. The Hawaiian was awesome, particularly the ham, nice and a bit spicy, but not too much. Didn’t taste like cheap stuff. When we are in the area, we are definitely coming back to try other things on the menu. We lived in Cherry Hill 15 years and come back to visit family 3 – 4 times a year so good eats are important. Quite a bit has changed since we moved away 10 years ago, and this is one nice little gem. There was a pizza spot in this same place years ago, but it apparently is a new establishment, Little Beef’s D&G now.

Little Beef’s is a shockingly solid pizza and sandwich option. I’m not so much shocked by it being good – I expected mediocre – but by how good it is. No caveats, its just reliable on every front. First, the pizza. Each pie looks gloriously imperfect, a devilish disregard for the circular shape of of the tray. The dough is near perfect: crispy crust protecting an airy interior.(This aspect also makes the garlic knots, usually heavy to the point of unpalatable at other places, something to look forward to.) I appreciate things like that. Of course, they offer all of the varieties that are now de riguer for pizza places, with six or so available at any given time as individual slices. The key difference that elevates them above their peers, however, is that they’re done well rather than relying on mere novelty. The broccoli on the white slice with tomato & broccoli, is cooked and seasoned perfectly, rather than the obviously frozen, pre-chopped stuff you’ll find elsewhere. The teriyaki slice struck a great balance of flavors, though may have been too liquidy for the crust to maintain structural integrity. The Texas deep dish-style – pepperoni, sweet sausage, bell pepper, mozzarella & a tangy but not too sweet or viscous barbecue sauce – was delicious without feeling like a brick in my stomach. As for the sandwiches, these caused some reservation and were in danger of dropping Little Pete’s rating down to three stars. They clearly recovered but it was unbearably close for a second there. My initial bout of disappointment was due to the Brooklyn Bomber: over-roasted turkey, prosciutto, mozzarella & roasted peppers on a seeded roll. Sounds amazing, right? It could, wait, no, SHOULD have been. For one, they forgot the roasted peppers. Even more damning was the flagrant lack of respect for a fine meat like prosciutto. My sandwich contained a single slice of that meat, cut to an utterly ridiculous width, as if this person had no experience with it whatsoever. It was like a slice of uncooked thick-cut bacon(which it basically is, I guess) and not at all appetizing. The meat tasted like salt. The fat was too thick to chew and I had to remove it entirely. (I have my suspicions that this may have been an isolated occurrence regarding the prosciutto. The employee who made my sandwich, whom I have not seen since, did a few things that raised red flags based on my seven years experience as a hoagie shop manager, e.g. taking a smoking break out in FRONT of the restaurant, the way he interacted with customers and with other employees. I’ll have to check and see if the coast is clear before ordering the Brooklyn Bomber again.) My next foray into Little Beef’s sandwich selections fared much better. On that occasion, I opted for the Pompeii – lightly breaded thin slices of eggplant, sauteed greens, mild provolone & marinara. Ignoring a slightly too heavy hand with the gravy ladle, this was excellent. I want to take the Pompeii back to the Brooklyn Bomber and show it how its done, like«accidentally» running into an old girlfriend while out on the town with the hot new model. Little Pete’s has an incredibly extensive menu, not limited to the usual pizza/pasta/sandwiches triumvirate. Its so extensive, actually, that it gives me pause before sampling those other items despite the high quality of everything I’ve tried thus far. If I ever take the bait and order a steak breakfast burrito, I’ll let you know. Until then, I definitely recommend all the standards.

Well they have the store name right — there was very little beef in the ‘little beefs’ cheesesteak. If they only stuffed the sandwich with as much steak as they must have stuffed the ballot box to get the award for courier post best of south jersey cheesesteak then I would be happy. The only reason I gave two stars was the quality of the roll and meat was good. Go to Yellow Submarine in Maple Shade or Gaetanos in Maple Shade for so much better.

Just got take-out from Little Beef’s for some coworkers and clients, and they all enjoyed their food very much. One of them, who is a NJ native but lives in MA now, ordered a hoagie just so she could eat one of the delicious rolls we’re known for in these PA/NJ parts. I had the caprese salad and it was great. They gave me generous portions of roasted red peppers and mozzarella on top of my lettuce. Yum! It came to $ 90 but 5 big salads, 2 hoagies and 2 eggplant parm sandwiches with a bottle of soda for each meal is not bad at all.

This is a nice little neighborhood pizza shop. Their menu is huge, and the wife and I often have trouble deciding what to have when we come. The Chicken Ranch a roo is awesome, the pizza is great, as well as the BBQ Bacon Chicken Ranch salad… The quesadillas are preety good too(for an italian joint). On Saturdays, kids eat free with each adult, so that is another awesome reason to come by with the family. The flat screen TV’s in the dining room keep the kids occupied, so mom and dad can enjoy their lunch. Great prices, great food… Glad to have this place as our local go-to Saturday joint. They are closed on Sundays though…
