Gallo’s Bakery

Decided to stop by and give them a try because I have been into donuts lately. I got the cream doughnut, vanilla icing doughnut with some cinnamon swirl?, and plain glazed. I thought they were just okay, nothing amazing to warrant a special visit but they’re not horrible (you really can’t go wrong with sweets!) I’d probably say I prefer the cream donuts at McMillian’s in Haddonfield. Another thing to note, you have to eat the donuts in the first day or else they get hard, so they don’t last very long.

Absolutely horrible bakery. Terrible customer service and completely unreliable. Do not order from them.

Their cream doughnuts are by far the best! My coworker will bring them into the office and they are gone in minutes. The Mt. Laurel location has the doughnuts, whereas the Cherry Hill location is more cakes. I can’t comment on anything but the doughnuts, but if that’s all they made… I would still go.

Saw that they boasted «best cupcakes in SJ», so I decided to give them a try. As a current pastry arts student, I know a box cake mix when I taste one, and these were definitely not from scratch. The chocolate cake was bland with little chocolate flavor, and the vanilla tasted like playdoh (that’s generally what cheap cake mix tastes like). The frostings also left a gross film on my tongue, telling me that they’re probably made with all shortening. Yuck!

Been customers for years and love all the Gallo locations! The negative comments caught me off guard so I felt I needed to throw in our experience. The ricotta cannolis are the best around. We buy their cakes for every occasion and they completely outdid themselves for my sister’s baby shower. Not the biggest fan of their assorted cookies, so that’s what is keeping me from the fifth star. I think the Cherry Hill location has better customer service than Mt. Laurel. They bake fresh at the Mt. Laurel location every day and deliver to the other locations. My sister travels to Gallos from Cape May for all her bakery needs. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, so please give them a try and make your own decision, don’t let the low starts keep you away.

I am also shocked about the reviews I see. Everyone I dealt with at Gallo’s to plan the favors and cake for my daughter’s baby shower was great. I ordered 90 heart shaped cookies to box as favors and every cookie was perfect. The cake was decorated beautifully and tastefully. All the cake was gone by the end of the shower! It was delicious! My whole extended family uses Gallo’s for special occasions!

I have been a customer of Gallo’s for as long as I can remember. Customer service sure has declined over the years. The woman at the Mt. laurel location was very patronizing and rude and not very accommodating. From now on, I choose to spend my money elsewhere. Giving two stars because the cakes are good, customer service I have been receiving has been horrible. The bakery sure needs some updates too!

The review by Emona Z is 100% false. This person has a personal vendetta against Gallos Bakery and is going out of her way to ruin their good name. Her cake was perfect and fresh. This is why the Unilocal platform is bogus. It allows people like Emona Z to publish lies and try to convince people of something that is not true. Gallos Bakery has been in business for over 30 years and is well established and the winner of many awards and accolades. Check out their website or come In and try the cake for free during a consultation. You will see and taste for yourself. The lies of Emona Z must be ignored. Personal family business need not be put onto a public platform. Keep it private please.

If I could give this place a negative star count I would. We ordered our wedding cake from them and what a big mistake that was. Our entire cake was crooked, it looked like it had melted and fell apart and someone just patched it all together last minute. There were big seams on the bottom tear and the list goes on. Our cake was a disaster not only aesthetically but it so didn’t taste fresh. My guess is they made it a week before and had it sit in a refrigerator for days.
We had a consultation and several emails and at no point in time it was ever communicated to us that what we were asking for was going to be difficult to produce. So much money and effort was put into our big day and we had rented a room in our wedding venue just for this cake! What we were given was unacceptable. After all the headache and irreversible damage this caused us we got a 5 sentence email from the owner, 5 sentences full of excuses. Instead of owning what happened and writing a long apology he tried to point fingers to our catering company. Very unprofessional!
Be ware of what gallos promises and delivers. I will never order anything from them again and have advised all my friends and family to stay away from this place.

Jenn and I popped in for a sugar fix. We got a vanilla cupcake and chocolate covered donut. Jenn loved the cupcake and says it was best she’s ever had. And the donut was awesome! We’ll be back for more!

I am shocked that this place has anything less than four stars. Gallo’s is amazing. Do they run out of donuts? Yes! But we all know they make small batches and you need to get there early. If you miss out it’s tough luck and that’s the way it should be at a bakery this size.
Overall everything here is delicious. The donuts are out of this world, stuffed full of filling, and coated with the sweetest most exquisite icing.
The cheesecakes are the perfect balance of firmness and creaminess.
The cupcakes are moist and full of flavor. The icing combinations are extremely well thought out and go together perfectly.
Today I stopped in and picked up a chocolate strawberry cake that was so delicious people raved about it and wanted to know where it came from.
I’ve never been let down here and it deserves to be rated much much higher.

Growing up, my family would get donuts here nearly every Sunday after mass. It’s been many years since we stopped that tradition, but to celebrate Easter I decided to pick up a dozen donuts for the family.
It appears that nothing has changed, which I’d say is a good thing — the donuts are still fresh, large, and delicious — much better that their counterparts at Dunkin. The cream-​filled are a particular favorite of my group’s, but I also love the generous dose of icing and sprinkles on their festive holiday donuts.

I recently got married March 14^th 2015. I got my wedding cake from Gallo’s and I just love love love my cake. Everyone came up to me saying they loved my cake and how great it tasted. I will most definitely recommend Gallo’s bakery to all my friends and family. A very pleased customer.

I love Gallo’s donuts but their selection is limited. There are times I have gone on weekdays at 8am and they’re nearly wiped, which is ridiculous. It’s obvious that people love their donuts based on how quickly they run out, so why not make more? The past few times I’ve visited I have walked out without anything.

I ordered cupcakes here for my gender reveal party. As for the flavor of the cupcakes and the aesthetics, I am very pleased. However, I requested purple, blue, pink and green icing. Unfortunately I was given yellow instead of green. I also requested «?» on some of the cupcakes. They did not do this. I called them the day of the party and explained the situation. This was a saturday evening and the bakers were all gone for the day. Someone was supposed to call me back on Sunday or Monday but no one ever did. I am 6 months pregnant so it really is not worth stressing out over something like this but I am not happy. Unless they rectify this somehow, I don’t plan on going back.

Ordered a cake and a dozen cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. Arrived at scheduled pickup time and cake was not even decorated yet. When it was done, cake was beautiful. The cupcakes on the other hand looked horrible, I was embarrassed to even serve them. I called the bakery and asked for the cupcakes to be discounted. They only offered $ 10 off a next order. I even offered to text them a picture of how bad they were decorated but they declined. I uploaded a photo of the beach themed cupcakes they sold us and they deleted the picture from their website twice. I will never do business with this company again as they do not care about their customers and it shows.

I use to love Gallo’s but lately it seems they never have much of a selection, and the workers are unpleasant and not helpful.

I ordered 200 cupcakes and a small cake from Gallos for my wedding last Saturday. I love desserts, and had originally planned to make them myself but it would have been difficult with the hours I work.
I selected 7 flavors, and spoke with the decorator, Jennifer, to decide the best way to present the cupcakes so that even the gourmet flavors would look wedding-​y. I remember being pretty indecisive, and I don’t know how she made what she did of my rambling, but the result was beautiful! I was so impressed with the presentation, and my guests can’t stop raving about the flavors. In particular, the Red Velvet and Salted Caramel were big hits.

I went to F&M Bakery a few weeks ago to pick up bagels. On my way out, I noticed Gallo’s bakery was located a few doors down so I stopped in just to take a look around. I didn’t purchase anything that day. Everything looked like a normal bakery, but the doughnuts on the back self looked appetizing.
I decided to purchase some doughnuts for the office last week. I thought about Jacks on route 30 but I was running late and couldn’t afford to go out of the way. I decided to try the doughnuts I saw at Gallo’s. I ordered a dozen and surprisingly there was only one left at the end of the day. The folks in my office devour things. Everyone, including myself enjoyed them. You can tell they were not dunkins on the shelf all day doughnuts. I wish they had a few more selections

Very pleased with Gallo’s. We went to Gallo’s for a weeding cake, the taste was exactly what my daughter was looking for. My daughter wants a square cake and Gallo’s did not have a problem with that, unlike another bakery. They took time and listened to what she wanted, they didn’t try to make the cake the way they wanted. After many bakeries later, we went bake to Gallo’s, made a depost and also ordered some canlois. They were also less expenxive than the other places.
