In a sea of fast food and chain restaurants thank goodness Mount Juliet has Martins! Always great food. Never disappointed. Love their wings and their redneck tacos and Alabama white sauce the most but everything is great!!! Great variety of local beers on tap. The only thing missing is a «happy hour».

I have tried three times to like this food. But it is the blandest I have had in years. That was the last trip.

The negative: ALL the sides are an after thought. The place is not comfortable… hard metal seats, loud music. The brisket should be trimmed, just way too much fat. The positive; outstanding dry rub spare ribs, 2 great sauces, exc iced tea. The staff is great, the place is clean.

First time here. I ordered the redneck taco with brisket and hush puppies. The food was fantastic. I wish I could’ve chosen my BBQ sauce, although I wasn’t too impressed with any of them. The service was what lost it for me. I was THEONLY customer in there and no one greeted me, showed me how to order, etc. Finally a young lady helped me who was brand new and couldn’t really answer my questions. Everyone I talked to was friendly; I just had to work for it. The food and distance from my house will keep me coming back.

When I say I didn’t want to leave one itty bitty piece of meat on my ribs I TRULYMEANTHAT! Half rack of baby back dry is the route to go! Had been to Martin’s before but never had the ribs I will probably never order anything else! Not real happy with the sides, the macaroni and cheese tasted like it was from a box! The cornbread was tasty! The house salad could use a tomato but it was ok Just grab the ribs and go make your own sides at home!!!

I came here with a group of friends and tried the«Big Daddy» sampler, which is supposed to be for 4 people but was definitely way more than enough for the 6 of us. It was pretty good overall but did have some hits and misses: — Great: both the baked chicken and the chicken wings were very delicious and tender! The dry rub on the wings was well-seasoned and not too spicy. baby back ribs were quite tasty as well and easy to get off the bone. — Average: pulled pork was a tad dry and nothing remarkable. I did enjoy the different BBQ sauces it came with and their varying degrees of spicyness. — Meh: brisket was definitely dry and could not be rescued by BBQ sauce. the green beans side were also super greasy and meaty(it had pieces of pulled pork in it). They also had good service and nice open indoor seating. I would probably just stick with the BBQ chicken next time, but the sampler plates are good if you want to try everything!

Now is one of those times I wish I could give half stars so they could get a 3 ½ from me. We ordered the Big Momma platter(Ribs, brisket, and pork) and opted for the Baby-Dry ribs, coleslaw, and broccoli salad. The ribs and brisket were good. The pork was(fairly bland) mush. The broccoli salad was okay, and the coleslaw was flavorless. The Texas Toast was one of our favorite things lol. Now, we realllly liked just about all of the sauces and I am tempted to go back and buy one or two. We sampled all of them! I am not sure we will be back to eat. There are just too many places to try on our list!

Went to this place because we heard good things about it. It was well worth fighting Saturday traffic and searching for a parking space. Surprisingly the inside of the restaurant wasn’t too packed. They were fairly quick with the line. I ordered the cheeseburger with French fries and Macaroni and cheese.(Yes I know a burger at a bbq joint) but it had to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. They are doing a good job here!

Walked in, asked staff if I could order at the bar, he said yes. Never was greeted… think I’ll pass on a business that makes it too complicated for their employees to help a potential customer. Saw other new comers that were also confused about how to get served. Stupid No reason to return

Wings and pork and brisket oh my! They make no apologies for the fact that you’ll leave smelling like a smoked rack of ribs. Great atmosphere that complements the food. Quite likely the best bbq around. The highlights: mommas sampler, the wings with the white sauce, sweet tea and the sides. Oh yeah, and the brisket. Go at the end of your date because you’ll be smelling pretty tasty!

Fantastic! Dry rub ribs, broccoli salad and coleslaw. Ribs were slightly over cooked but the flavor made up for it. Broccoli salad was yummy and the coleslaw was coleslaw. Too much food to finish but I tried anyway! Service was good considering you have to walk up to order, not a sit down and place your order kind of place. It was cold but other than that great ambiance considering its in a modern strip mall with an old fashioned décor

Best BBQ in Nashville!!! 5+ stars!!! The store is always clean, it’s has a fun atmosphere, and the employees are always very friendly. It’s easy to place my order, I always receive my order quickly, and it’s always correct. I’ve tried tons of BBQ restaurants around town, but they’re no match to Martin’s. DELICIOUS!!!

This place is clean and efficiently operated, with a good quality of food. It’s good to have a decent food option in the MJ area!(That’s rare.)

I’ve been here for about 4 – 6 minutes and I think this place has the greatest staff EVER. SO warm and inviting(which was surprising to me, cuz I wasn’t too hopeful about being a black man in a place that boasts of a Redneck Taco). I am SO glad I came and Brycen, thanks for putting me at ease. Awesome atmosphere and great foo choices. Don’t miss the opportunity to yell«CORNBREAD»!!! Lovin’ it!!!

Passed this place in Mt. Juliet after shopping at the Providence Shops, looked on Unilocal– saw 3.5 stars but read a really great review so my husband and I decided to try it out. FIVE stars!!! Everything we had was delicious! And the staff was friendly as well. You order at the front and they bring you your food. We got the fried chicken tender sandwich with side of fries and the ¼ chicken with Mac and cheese, baked beans, and they accidentally gave us broccoli salad. fries are homemade and the sandwich– some of the best chicken tenders we’ve had! The chicken had a great flavor and was moist and all the sides were spot on! We will be back!!!

I have been wanting to go to Martin’s for a long time and I finally got to go yesterday afternoon. We went the night after Christmas and they were out of nearly all of their meats so we left. Yesterday was no problem though so we both had BBQ pork plate with baked beans and potato salad. The food was very good indeed and was served very quickly. If you don’t like spicy food, then beware of the baked beans because they have a kick to them. The food was fresh and delicious and the sauce was very good. The décor was really cool too. They had some cute and funny signs up all over the place and the atmosphere was very unpretentious and casual. Its just a down-and-dirty BBQ joint so if that is your thing, then check out Martin’s.

My husband and I moved to Nashville 9 months ago. We have tried several BBQ places and this is the best. My husband said the ribs were some of the best he has ever had(compared to Dreamland and Rendezvous just to name a few). I saw some complaints about atmosphere and service. We had no problems. The service was fast and the atmosphere is what I would expect.

I am surprised that this Martins BBQ only has 3 stars. Although its not the best bbq we have had, it is really great solid bbq every time we have visited. We have come several times for lunch and never have been disappointed — no issues with the food or the service. We normally always get the brisket plate or the brisket tacos. With mac & cheese(which is good but not excellent), fries or coleslaw. The hot bbq is awesome too!

Food was a solid 3 but service was a low 2. Strongly suggest holding the loud«Jerry Springer» cat fighting in the back. While serving a customer, its best to not be on cell phoe

Okay, here’s the deal. I love BBQ as much as anyone and really really enjoyed Martin’s other location when I went there. The Mt. Juliet location just doesn’t hold up to the original’s expectations. It doesn’t seem to have the same soul and love poured in to the food as the other location. I can’t really quantify that because it’s the same exact thing from location to location(I get the redneck taco usually) but this location just doesn’t give me the same good, loved, southern, bbq-time feelings as the other. The food is good to great. I get the redneck taco and had it in brisket my most recent time through the restaurant. It was smoky brisket that was tasty but lacked the depth of flavor I’ve come to expect from Edley’s or a reputable BBQ shack. I wasn’t expecting anything close to Franklin BBQ brisket from Austin but they could certainly work on their product here. The redneck taco does make for a great lunch and you can get some of their super spicy BBQ sauce if you like hot things, like I do. They have a good selection of craft beers on the wall and you order at the counter. The service seemed lackadaisical but they do bring the food out to you while it’s still nice and hot. As I said before, it’s not that the structures for success aren’t there. It’s that they don’t seem to care as much at this location as they do at the other Martin’s or some of the other BBQ spots around town. Pros: Still good food and the redneck taco is unique. Cons: Weird atmosphere. Details above. Overall: This is my go-to lunch spot if I’m in Mt. Juliet around that time. I’ll probably start eating at Taziki’s or Chick-fil-A instead, though. Just haven’t been overly impressed.
