I went recently and the space is cool and the bathroom is neato in décor(tiny corner sink). I like the benches and above table outlets. I didn’t find the staff overly friendly. I had hot chocolate and a pastry and it was adequate.

Cute little coffee shop. Their coffee was good. Convenient to stop off on your way to run some errands.

I’m not sure if this is a family owned business but if it is I love the concept! It’s in a perfect location and very accessible!

GREATSTUDYSPOT! Cozy, quiet(low music), wall outlets everywhere! Their dark roast coffee is amazing & the staff is kind. :) asked about refills since I was going to say long & they were quick to tell me to get their mug. No gimmicks, not pushy –super nice. Will be back to study more here!

So close to the office and excellent coffee. The owner is the best multi-tasked I have ever seen. She can be working on four drinks at the same time and never misses a step. A little expensive, but I think it’s worth it.

I don’t know… I’ve been back 5 or 6 times and I always order the latte. I think it’s the roast, it’s just very plain. I’ve even ordered extra shots and it still tastes like plain steamed milk. In my opinion a latte with 3 shots should be pretty robust. If you don’t like a coffee taste and add a lot of flavoring, this could be for you. I will say that there seemed to be plenty of caffeine in the espresso, just not a lot of flavor.

The Turkey Swiss was tasty but it looked like they left half the meat out compared to the Clarksville location. Staff was nice. I asked for a pourover and 4 out of 4 staff never heard of that. The coffee I got was decently brewed.

Update: I went back and spoke to the owner. I can tell she was a very concerned business owner. After a good chat, I have went back several times and have had top notch service! I believe for a business to be great you have to fix little issues as you go. That has certainly happened here and I will continue to come back to Lasaters. First two times I went their espresso machine was«broken» and awaiting parts. I tried a third time tonight, a few months later. Internet says they close at 10pm so I drove from Lebanon. I pulled In to lights on and several cars in the parking lot, as well as several people inside. It was 8:59 when I opened the door and walked in. The two people behind the counter gave me a godawful look. I made my way to the order station and the guy said«uh we’re closed». I mentioned the internet said 10, and he said«well it was changed to nine». Boy, I must be really stupid.

Right of the bat i asked them if they had cayenne pepper & they did! They were creative and flexible willing to do whatever to my drink to make it perfect. They also traveled around and shared free samples of smoothie. Great service & great coffee!

Stopped by this Wednesday evening for a cappuccino with some friends. It was my first time there and I said so to the young man behind the counter. Instead of taking an opportunity to tell me all about their shop and sell me on what they have to offer, his response was a very apathetic — «I haven’t had anything with milk in it». OK then. I had my cappuccino and it was good, the prices were reasonable, but I was very disappointed with the friendliness of the staff. I really appreciate the friendliness of people in Tennessee, but this made me feel like I was back in the Northeast. I had high hopes based on the other reviews I read, but I will probably not return based on the experience. What a shame. We were the only customers in the shop at the time, and there were at least five people on staff, so it’s not like they were busy.

Could have easily been 4 or 5 Stars! We were excited since we are coffee lovers; our first time trying it out. Coffee and breakfast bagels were Excellent! Service was OFF& it took over 15 mins to get our food order. It appears that their expediting or getting food out was unorganized & there was no sense of urgency? Drive thru was wrapped around the front entrance. Food was coming up one order at a time and out of order. In short the other customer’s orders were mixed up or they got their order before ours. My wife finally got her bagel; I had to go up and ask for my food. They did give me a free coffee card and apologized. Some training and reviewing their food delivery system should help. We will be back and hopefully they will have gotten it together on the other half of what matters to customers… SERVICE.

A great concentration environment, with booths and tables, and a couch. The Green Apple smoothie is good, as is the Carmel Macchiato! The employees are helpful and kind, and the food is great. I’m a fan of the wraps!

It’s a good coffee shop in that their selection is solid. Anything from a chai tea latte, black coffee, hot teas and iced or frozen anythings they’ve got you covered. Their selection is large, but it all seems to be variations of only a few core drinks. They have plenty of brews to choose from; anything from dark to lighter smooth roasts are available. It’s fairly local, as they only have 7(ish) locations, but I guess you could say they are a local chain. They do have a chain feel, pretty sterile environment though it is accented with paintings and a thatch roof of sorts situated over the booths. They have fair-trade teas(huge plus) and it’s non-GMO, though I’m not sure if their coffee is also fair-trade or non-GMO. The staff is admirably friendly and service is quick. Seating is adequate, and they have plenty of outlets for charging devices, so it makes for a good chill/work space. They also have a couch(and perhaps a couple of armchairs) near the front of the café, so you can also get some reading done comfortably. I have had their Columbian roast and their Rooibos tea. The Columbian roast was smooth and bold, while the Rooibos(properly steeped) was smooth and silky. There is a great food selection and though I haven’t samples anything from it, I have friends who say it’s overpriced and portions are small(café style) but rather tasty. They also sell(crazy expensive) handmade mugs which look unique and have a good feel to them. I’m giving them three starts as they offer little(it seems to me) in a truly unique experience. It’s too sterile feeling and the coffee selection too streamlined. They do offer French press, but I don’t think that pour-overs are available. The product is great, service incredible but it reminds me too much of a Starbucks at this point. Perhaps the Mount Juliet Lasater’s will find some character eventually, and help to keep Starbucks out of MJ(though I have seen future sites being advertised…)

Sticky table, chain store feel and OK coffee. The store was busy so people must like it. I like the way that we were greeted when we came in the door. They don’t serve my favorite drink which is a Cuban. It’s made with sweetened condensed milk. Had to settle for a Carmel latte.

My wife and I are so glad to finally have a coffee place that is fast access for us to the free way. We stopped their this morning on the way to work and had two lattes and a scone and the quality and flavor were excellent. Our only concern, and what is keeping me from giving them 5 stars is the service. Not to say that the service was poor, as much as their were 2 people trying to keep up with a lot of people outside and us inside. Wife and I were almost late for work waiting for our drinks. As a new establishment to the area I am sure they did not know the need for coffee for us Mt. Juliet folks, and I am sure they are working to get their staffing mix correct. I am also sure that my review will move to five stars once that happens! Welcome to the area!

I’ve been driving by this location for the last few weeks and have been looking forward to seeing a new, local coffee shop open up in Mt. Juliet. Having recently moved to the area, I’ve been surprised at the lack of coffee shop options in the area that weren’t the larger mainstream shops. Lasaters is actually a chain that started in Clarksville, TN where they have 5 stores, they have another store in Cleveland, TN and this location just opening in Mt. Juliet. This place just opened this morning and it seems to already be doing pretty well. I had a couple of hours to kill and needed to get some work done so thought I’d stop in and give it a try. I figure a new coffee shop will have its coffee drinks on par their opening day so I decided to try their chai tea latte instead(actually after seeing an add in-store, I wanted a spiced eggnog latte, but they were already out of eggnog). The chai was flavorful with a nice clean taste on the palate. A good first mark. The chai is made specifically for Lasaters, so it’s not what you’re going to have out of a carton from your local grocery store. It’s very good, but not quite as good as some of my favorite shops from up in Indianapolis that I frequented. I’m trying to watch my diet so I had to pass on a cheese danish or one of their absolutely enormous cinnamon rolls. Perhaps in the future I’ll splurge though, because they looked delicious. Of course when I’m looking for a good coffee shop, I’m also looking for a few other amenities. Good spaces to open up the laptop to work with comfortable seating and a snappy wifi connection. Lasaters has delivered on all off the above so far. A wifi speedtest gave me 15Mbps+ download and just shy of 10Mbps upload speeds. Quality speeds for a public shop, hopefully they’ll stay at those speeds. The seating here consists of 4 good sized booths, a couple of tall bar tables and a couple of shorter standard tables. Nice thing about the booths is that each one is equipped with a power outlet, dual USB power plugs and its own light switch.(see photo) A nice touch! Well done! Overall this place has won my attention and will probably stay in mind for a place for me to get some things done when I need to get out of the house for a few hours. Or, in this case when I need to kill a couple of hours while my son is at archery practice. The only reason I didn’t give them 5-stars is there’s still more to explore for me to classify them«as good as it gets». Perhaps after another drink and a few more times for visiting, I’ll come back and upgrade my review and/or post a new one. Until them, give this place a try. I’m sure you’ll be as pleased as I was. Welcome to town Lasaters! I’m glad you’re here.
