Run while you can; the only good thing is the view. It’s noisy, terrible acoustic with loud music; overpriced, make that highway robbery; bad service if at all, can’t get the order right after 2 tries; food was burnt, sauces passable at best, I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. The only reason they might still be in business is because unsuspecting travelers have no clue. The best food near there is downtown in the valley 10 min away, not up in Mt Crested Butte.

Absolutely absurd that I was refused a refill on ice tea! Ice tea… is basically water. The bar tender was really rude about it too! Have you ever heard of Any restaurant in the world that will not Refill a tea? Just another stellar reason to avoid any Cbmr restaurant. I mean how hard is it to be nice to people? It is just sad that this company cannot find any decent people to be the front lines of their summer service

Good food and good service. Hostess sat us quickly and they got us our meal within 10 mins and it was very good. I had the bbq ChedderOne bacon burger and alcoholic milkshake.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink at lunch between runs. Had the pulled pork nachos which were great, but it was so cold outside they got too cold to eat very quickly. Bloody Mary was good though!

Would be a one star except the the service at the bar is pretty good. My advice is get a seat at the bar or go somewhere else. First time we went in was fine. Service was slow but ok and the food was pretty good. We went two more times and after waiting 20 min at a table for a waiter ended up at the bar both times. We even asked servers and other employees to send someone over but nobody ever came. Food is just ok here, certainly nothing special. It does have a nice deck though and the daily drink specials are ok. If you want something quick to get back on the slopes then this is not the place I would choose.

My fiancé and I came here today to meet up with friends and based on the menu thought it would be good. I have 15 years in the restaurant industry(from server to manager) so my review comes with some experience for comparison, for what that is worth. Well, at least they have a nice patio because the service and food were sub par. Service– I ordered the smoked wings and never received them because our server Alyssa did not order them. She came to the table after we received our food, then was not seen until it was time for the check. My tea glass sat empty the whole meal(which I did not care for but she never came back so I choked it down and was too hungry to waite). She did offer to bring me the wings but I was not about to order any more food. Food: I ordered the smoked trout sandwich. I was expecting warm fish on the sandwich. Who serves a cold fish sandwich? But that was what I received. It was a cold and bland sandwich. Would have been nice if Alyssa had cared enough to mention that it was a cold sandwich. When I asked her if it was supposed to be cold she just said«uhm, I think so but I don’t know). My fiancé had the brisket plate which was also bland in flavor and tough. The BBQ sauce was not bad though. Lastly, the plastic cup that the silverware was in on the table had dirty, cloudy water with particulates floating in it. Unfortunately I did not see this until after I had already put a fork in my mouth and it was not the handle end in the water. I took a picture and will try and post it somewhere. So I can only hope we don’t get sick later. Needless to say we will not be back for a very long time.

Wait staff is non existent. Sat at a table for about 20 minutes, finally went up to the bar and ordered beers and food. When the waitress brought the food I asked for another beer. She said she can’t do that because I have a tab at the bar, because know one would wait on us in the beginning . No customer service. To top it off it was real slow.

Great slope side dining! We ordered too much food. Had wonderful nachos as appetizers, brisket chili and the Cuban sandwich. All were very yummy!

Very disappointed. Came in at 1:10. Seated at 1:20. Still waiting for food at 2:10. SERVICEISHORRIBLE. for a place catering to skiers, they felt pretty free and easy about STEALING our ski day. Truly remarkable that service non-existent on a Wednesday. Uliey’s had me in an out in half an hour. This place will be an hour and a half.

My husband and I had lunch here today. I had the chopped salad, he had the beef brisket and the double chocolate Russian. I loved my salad and my husband said the beef was good and the drink was excellent. The prices are very reasonable for a table service restaurant Slopeside. You easily pay the same prices for cafeteria food at a ski resort. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. I would recommend it. Great views of the slopes!

Perfect spot. Watch skiers while you enjoy some fare that is way beyond what you might expect. Try the chili, with chunks of brisket. Delicious. We also really loved the jalapeño poppers. They have shredded pork mixed with the cheese, then lightly breaded. Yummmmm. Really, both dishes were tops and the prices are very reasonable.

The food was pretty good. The fajita salad was tasty. The service was not great. Slow to get drinks and took forever to get bill paid and t wasn’t busy at all. Decent food. A bit pricy. Convenient location to the lifts and base.

Butte 66 gets 5 stars for location. The bar serves good drinks(4*), and the food is just fine(3*). Service is hit-and-miss(3*), so don’t be in a hurry if you’re eating, but you can’t beat the view!

Reasonable expectations= reasonable experience. Think cafeteria style food with waiter service. If you have the right expectations, this place isn’t terrible. Keep in mind the menu is simple, the food is simple, and the interior utilitarian to serve the masses of winter warriors. The interior is no grand mountain lodge, but it is large and service was good. Don’t order expecting anything fancier than your school cafeteria. Keep your expectations low and go for«safe» food like the basics; think about what would be the least offensive assuming it is frozen and reheated. I ordered soup and salad. My salad was iceberg lettuce with a «safe» dressing of ranch. My soup was supposed to be cheddar broccoli, but it was anything but creamy and though I could tell there was some pureed broccoli in it, it still was not what I would call cheddar broccoli. But, most importantly, it was edible when I lowered my expectation from something rich and creamy, to something that was more of a garlicky broth with broccoli. My husband had the BBQ pork, because he’d spied the smoker outside on the patio, and he was pleasantly surprised. Fries were actually pretty good too. Our friends had the portabello sandwich(brave in my opinion, but she ate it all so it couldn’t have been too bad) and something else unmemorable but edible. Kids meals were super standard, and the milkshakes they had were quite good. $ 5 tap beer too. Expect to pay somewhat inflated prices, but be reasonable: you’re at the base of a ski mountain practically in the middle of nowhere. Also, beware most CB restaurants, including this one, will automatically include tip on parties of 6 or more. No one got sick, everyone was able to finish their meal and it didn’t completely break the bank while being absolutely convenient and accessible to the mountain.

We had lunch here twice. It’s very conveniently located at the base of the mountain, and we had solid service at both meals. The tomato soup is great and they have mastered the crispy tater tot. The black bean burger was standard and my husband liked the chili and the tuna melt. Titan IPA on tap… so so yum.

Unfortunately I have to give Butte 66 one star or I cannot leave a review. Conveniently located at the base of the mountain. However, the menu was lackluster and missing what is proclaimed by the restaurant/bar: «barbeque.» The only actual BBQ on the menu was a BBQ pulled pork(which they were out of) and breaded chicken strips with BBQ dipping sauce. The dining area and bar closed at 6pm, which was quite early considering the surrounding dining facilities. The waitress was continuously missing. I went to the bar several times to ask for items(a drink refill, the check, etc). When the waitress finally did return, she stated that she was in the back mopping. Making excuses is never good for getting a tip. My suggestion: skip Butte 66 and head down to Avalanche.

The menu and décor are completely uninspiring. What this place is doing in a ski area or how it relates to skiing is beyond me. The food quality seems like it came off a commercial food delivery truck. The staff always seems like they’d rather be doing anything else. With such a great location and amazing views, one would think they could come up with a more inspired concept an execution. Just went again yesterday. Still just as poor menu and service as last time. When will this place close and reopen as something cool? Update: sadly, just went back again and it’s even worse than before! How can that be?

This joint is just ok for me. It’s one of the only choices so close to the slopes, so you’re going to probably give it a try regardless. We eill probably eat here again out of convenience, but I totally prefer Avalanche. My food was so unmemorable, that I can’t tell you what I ordered. I do remember the tomato soup was pretty good and that the menu had some pretty creative milkshake options. My friends burger was not so great. The desert we ordered looked ok also.

Good place to take a break from skiing and grab lunch. Good reuben and great tomato soup. The service is average and what a great view of the mountain. Great front patio too for hanging out. Definitely a place to check out while on the mountain with out having to tavel into town.
