Iron Horse Tap

Nice relaxed spot for dinner after a long day on the slopes! Friendly service and reasonable prices for a ski resort. We shared a pizza and salad plus apple pie for dessert — all dishes arrived promptly and were quite tasty. Similar menu to the other dining spots on the mountain but worth a return visit.

What a great place and excellent location at Mt CB! Beer selection is great. The owner and her kids do a great job! Be sure to write your name or leave a note on the bar columns with chalk, play table top/​bar, jam to the jukebox, watch football on the big screen, or relax in the rockers by the huge the fireplace!

We came here on one of our last nights in crested butte and ended coming back the next night. Everything we ate was amazing! The poppers and burgers are perfection. The service was a little slow but still friendly and worth the wait.

Great service! Very good beer selection (have the Pinedrops IPA). The burgers were off the hook. The burgers melt in your mouth. I can’t remember having a better burger. Our waitress was excellent. The Spinach Dip was yummy. Good bread. Fries were done just right. Eat here for good service and good food.

Ordered a bacon chicken sandwich. It was delicious. My hubby ordered a medium rare bacon cheese burger that came out perfect. Curly fries were yummy. They gave us tastes of 2 beers & the Beehive Honey Wheat was excellent. Very happy here.

Stopped in to grab a burger based on previous reviews claiming that they were the best that people have ever had. The bar staff was excellent — friendly, attentive, and on point. However, I was massively disappointed with the burger. I ordered the Butte Burger which is supposed to have avocado, yet it was missing from mine. I’m not sure if they were out, or if they forgot to add it, but this burger costs more and I paid full price. Further, the burger was not cooked properly — I requested medium rare, but it arrived well done. Why ask if the kitchen can’t cook it as requested? Previous reviews as well as the website claim that the burger patty is hand pressed, but mine appeared to be a frozen hockey puck.
In sum, it’s a small step up from fast food, but fell far short of expectations.

Forget your typical pretentious mountain resort hotel bar, the Iron Horse Tap was a breath of fresh air relative to the hotel bar which we were staying at. We wondered over here to avoid the families, kids, prototypical beer list, and overpriced cocktails that resided at the Elevation. We were relieved to find somewhat of a dive bar and working man’s bar. The demographic was certainly more our speed and we were blown away by how friendly the bartender was. He even checked back with us to see how we enjoyed our beer selection.
Their prices were reasonable to begin with but the fact that they had a happy hour with some unique breweries on tap that reside up and around Crested Butte prompted a return on day two of our stay. If I were a local, I would probably be a regular at this joint as it is redolent of the down to earth, neighborhood bars, with a great draft selection that I frequent at home.

Wow. We ordered burgers and fries to be delivered to our room at the Elevation Hotel. Fantastic food, burgers cooked perfectly to order, and delivered to our room in fifteen minutes wonderfully hot and fresh. (Half the time, twice as hot, and much better than in-​hotel room service food the previous evening.) Truly the best burger I’ve had in years.

Well I feel bad leaving a poor review but I have to be honest here…
They add a 20% tip to your bill so there is no incentive for them to give great service .

One if the best burgers we ever had. Perfect sized patty. Great bread. Delicious. Amazing poppers. Nice beer selection that the staff was knowledgeable about and offered tastings. Very comfortable place. Sat on couches for dinner. Will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is nice– cozy and comfortable. The service was atrocious. The owner or manager or whatever you want to call him was very rude. We waited over 15 minutes before someone asked us if we needed help, we just wanted to pay our tab. We lived in Breck for two years and NEVER received service this horrible, they looked like rookies. The holiday season kicks off next week… for their sake I hope they get it together, definitely will not be returning! Be aware!

My burger was epic. The beef and the bun were way above average. Mick was a very welcoming bartender.

This is a great new addition to the dining options on the mountain. It’s located in the old Firehouse Grill site. While their wings are nearly as good as the signature wings at the Firehouse, there are several new items that are good. The burgers are amazing with a sweet fresh bun. Only one dessert option, but it was excellent.
Although it was a slower day, the service was excellent and well above average.
I look forward to going back on Sundays to watch football on their big screens.
The only negative was the lack of good Sunday bar specials.
