Outstanding food, good prices and hidden location make this a great place to eat, highly recommended, see more below: I ended up in Atlanta for business but too early to check in to my hotel so I decided to check Unilocal and found this place. First off, location is a bit off the beaten path, but that’s not bad. You’ll know you there because there is a Dairy Queen next door that looks like a barn Service was very attentive with the hostess/waitress singing along to the chorus of the music as it played. Food delivered very quickly. I ordered the phở special combination which was outstanding. Excellent broth with only a tinge of sweetness: excellent meat and fresh vegetables as well. Prices are fair and I look forward to trying more of the menu, I’ll have to travel here more often!

Family owned restaurant. The service is always great here. Heo and Natalie is always fast and nice. The dishes we had was Banh mi dac biet, banh xeo, and etc. I always order like a pig here and everything is better than most restaurant around this area. Order some coffee.

We were in the area and checked Unilocal for a new place to eat. Saw the star rating on this place so we decided to check it out. When we arrived, there was a table of 3 people already eating and an older couple which we thought were family members or friends of the owner. I say this because they were sitting there for a while and the waitress didn’t talked to them(they were there for a while so I thought they were just hanging out). Anyways, we ordered our food. banh mi, Vietnamese beef stew(bo kho), rice plate, shaking beef, spring rolls and a vietnamese pizza. By the time the waitress took our order the table of 3 and the older couple had already left. We waited a while to get our food and they came out one at a time. I don’t know if they were short staffed in the kitchen but our food took forever to come out. They even forgot one of our order. The food was not bad but not the best either. The Beef stew(bo kho) was too oily. The meat on the rice plate I ordered was too little. The same with the beef on the shaking beef. Overall, I don’t think I’ll ever come back to this place especially when there’s plenty of Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Super slow service and mediocre food.

I gave them 2 stars for the simple fact that they are so slow and food is fair. The portions and prices are not what you would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant, they are smaller and more expensive. But the fact that it takes almost an hour to get all the food out is unacceptable. There was one table finishing up their meal when we walked in and a couple waiting for a togo(which they looked upset for the long wait). My bo kho(beef stew) was very oily almost an inch of oil floating on my soup. I know there is suppose to be some oil but not like that. Also the brought out the veggie plate with 1 pc of basil and 1 pc of Cilantro no bean sprouts i asked if they forgot it and she says you don’t get bean sprouts with bo kho. Wow should be a hint to bring me a hand full of sprouts that cost .10 cents. The rice plate were decent and the viet. Pizza was good but we ordered it when we got there and she did say it take a long time and they brought it out at the very end with the check. My advice VN Phở is ½ mile away GOTHERE. We normally go there but decided to give this place a try due to the reviews but we won’t be back.

Please. Their food is trash and dirty. I personally would know because I’m in a very traditional Vietnamese family. Their food is either too bland or just taste like throw up

I like their free thai tea offer, that’s about the only positive thing I can note. I wish I was able to get the thai tea offer, but unfortunately I was unable to because I was never greeted or waited on… I came by a little before dinner time maybe around late 5PM or 6PM and no one was at the the counter. I figured someone should be back up front because logically, no one should ever leave the front of a store unattended no matter how slow it may get. 5 – 10 minutes past(not exaggerating) I optimistically went to the restroom believing someone should be at the counter once I get out, I was wrong. Unsure of the store being opened or not I looked around for any signs, I walked to the counter in hopes of finding maybe a bell or something to get someones attention. I could hear some people speaking loudly in the back, so loud they couldn’t hear me trying to get their attention. Overall, I spent maybe 15 minutes wasted at Trang Tien. I hear their food is good, too bad was I unable to try.

Food is good! I come once a month. Service still the same, family owned. The only thing is its hot and they need to serve food at a timely manner. Other than that I love the food!

Went there with my friend after a night at the club. Back in january. We didn’t shower or brush our teeth or nothing, just a headache and smelling like beer and grilled chicken. Luckily food was great. But i had my eye on the cute waitress. She was mature and spoke well. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. But… nvm.

Tried this place today & the food was great! I had the«hell fried rice» and it was a little more than what I expected, in a good way of course. My friend had the steak and fried rice and the steak was cooked perfectly. I’ve tried the Vietnamese restaurant not too far from this location and I would definitely be coming to this restaurant more often!

This is, hands down, the BEST Vietnamese restaurant I have been to anywhere in the United States or Canada. Seriously, it’s that good. In the hour I was there I was the only non-Asian which tells me that their peers/friends/family know the food there is that good as well! I took as many business cards as I knew I could disseminate the next day and will return as often as I can. What a great discovery! As for not running the AC as one person noted, I’ll agree and probably not want to be there in 100 degree heat and humidity but the food can always be taken home and savored.

Original Post… HELLO! I drove all the way from palmetto and you’re closed :(door says open Monday through Sunday. Um its Thursday at 3:26 This was flagged by owners and they made Unilocal remove this. Unilocal is for customers to share their experiences not for businesses to manipulate. I still can’t see how this was flagged, can you? Be aware now they try to dictate our reviews. Makes me wonder how many of these positive reviews are theirs.

Tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza, sits this Vietnamese restaurant. I personally have never had a single bad experience at this place at all. The service is usually good and the food comes in a reasonable time. I’ve had the Hell Fried Rice, which is a combination of different types of meats such as shrimp, beef, pork, etc. If the«hell» is supposed to mean that it is going to be spicy, I think they should pick a different name. If it’s meant to describe how hot the food is when it comes out, then maybe«hell» is about right. They serve it on some sort of iron pan, it seems. I usually ask for them to put it on a bigger plate because it is extremely hard to eat it without it spilling. The Banh Mi are really good! Lots of flavor, the bread is toasted just right. Sitting down eating one of those while sipping on the free Thai Tea you get there every time you check in is nothing to complain about! The spring rolls are also good. They’re not as good as mom or dad’s, but they’re good. Lastly, this place is usually known for(my friends at least) for their Bun Bo Hue. The broth is extremely flavorful and the noodles are a good thickness. All in all, everything is pretty good!

*UPDATE* I came here again one day just for a sandwich, and they didn’t have any… Then I came another time with my sister and ordered a banh xeo, they didn’t have any of that. Then asked if the had any sandwiches, they didn’t have any of that either… So all they had was phở. Can some one explain to me why they would advertise their foods but only have phở? Is there a cut off time for certain foods? I don’t get it. Very disappointed.

Place looks decent. Table was very dirty, Waiter couldn’t open a beer! Food was good. This makes up a bit for all the rest! I use to go to «little Saigon» in San Diego pretty often, and this is my measuring standard for«phở».

I’ve been coming more iften again, and they seemed to have changed the menu up just a bit more. These guys are masters at viet style fried rice(com chien). Love eating every single grain with a few almost burnt bits to offset the sweet taste, and then accompanied with heavenly browned onions *drool* seriously, just order the onions on the side and add it to anything savory– they are retardedly good. Also, I really like the pickled cabbage and carrot with the rice dishes, a bit too sweet sometimes, but it helps with the saltiness of some of the dishes, and a really great level of sour.

Amazing! Found this place randomly on Unilocal and it was a success. A definite must. Great service and great food. I will be coming back. We ordered three separate dishes and all of them were delicious. Has ample seating and doesn’t seem to busy(a good thing if you are in a hurry)

Probably my third time delving into Vietnamese cuisine. I have been into Asian food for a long time though. I asked the very helpful waitress about a couple things and I tried the bun(long u there), a soup like phở but more«authentic»(as the waitress put it) in flavor and ingredients. She seemed apprehensive about me trying it. She said it had strong flavors and is generally spicy. Since I am a massive whimp when it comes to spicy foods I ordered the least spicy bun on the menu, the crab. It did have a nice kick(to me), what did get me was how hot they serve the soup, temperature wise. The Thai tea was great too. What really impressed me was the spring rolls. So fresh, crisp and delicious. The best Vietnamese food that I have ever had and some of the best Asian food as well.

*UPDATE* Last week I stopped here and everything was great. Now I stopped here this week and it was the complete opposite(from a 5 to a 2). I really hate to do this, but I just have to point out the facts. So last week when I came here someone was standing at the counter and I was greeted promptly. Fast forward to this week, I come in and sat at down and no one was at the front counter. I waited and waited, and about 5 – 6 minutes(I was just about to walk out), I am finally greeted, granted, at the time there was only one couple in the restaurant. Okay, so I ordered my food and eat. About 15 minutes later, the couple leave and their table stays dirty for about 10 minutes. All while some lady sits at the center of the front counter playing on her iPhone, maybe a family member, maybe a friend? Unless she is working, there is no reason to be sitting up front in plain view of the customers. Another couple comes in and wants to sit at the dirty table, and she says, «Oh, we just had a rush» and sprays and cleans the table. Seriously? Stop playing on your phone, which is totally unprofessional and just rude. Seems this time my experience was the same as Amelia J. Natalie was my server again and was fine, however she became busy and the other lady only got off her phone after someone who came in to dine that she apparently knew, or at least spoke Vietnamese. This was going to be my once a week spot, but not anymore.

I wasn’t exactly sure of what to expect when I pulled in the snuggly placed plaza storefront restaurant, but once I got inside I was pleasantly surprised. If you’re looking to be wowed at first sight, then this isn’t the place for you. However if like me you’ve been taught to not judge a book by the cover, you’ll fine that this place has much to offer. Once I got past the outdated mediocre decorations, I found the food was hand crafted, fresh, made to order, and well worth the wait. I order the rice noodles with lamb, egg rolls, spring rolls, hell rice for my dad, and milk coffee. Everything was delivered to my table with such care, with the staff continuously checking to see how we enjoyed each item. We ended the night with a personal conversation, as if we’d become friends. This was my father’s first Vietnamese cuisine experience and I’m glad he was treated with such care in addition to great food. Although my dad’s not an adventurous eater, we’ll both be back! Try it! Eat it! And see for yourself. Honestly with the prices as low as they are, you can afford the risk, although you won’t be sorry!
