Country Inn & Suites by Carlson-Atlanta I-75 South

This hotel was decently priced by booking through a third party. You get free breakfast but I wasn’t even interested in going down to trying the food due to the fact that the room alone just was not comfortable. When I walked into the room it smelled like old mildew. And let’s not speak on the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like someone urinated on every single wall!!! It smelled terrible! And when the housekeeper came to clean the room she didn’t even replace the old towels for clean ones! Smh I would only recommend this hotel to someone who was desperate. I guess that’s why they say you get what you pay for!!!

The hotel was a decent price we were here for a conference. The room was clean. I would have given it more stars but the wi Fi is awful. We were continually being kicked off and asked to re enter the password. Even when it was working it was unbelievably slow. If you need to get online this is not the place for you.

Filthy dirty like everyone is saying. Poorly maintained. Run as fast as you can. We only stayed because we checked in after midnight due to a canceled flight nightmare. We got out as fast as we could later that day!!!

If i weren’t so tired, I would have changed hotels. Stopped here with my young daughter for an overnight on the way to Florida. Upon checking in the front desk girl announced my room number loud enough for the man behind me to hear. When I pointed out that she should not announce the room number aloud, she told me that this was her speech she does for every check in and I shouldnt worry because «I’m sure the man behind you doesnt care». News flash idiot, I could care less what the man behind me thinks, I’m paying for the room. When I got to the room, It had no security lock either so I switched rooms. In addition to shotty training of the employees, the rooms are below average, carpet is dirty and the walls are thin as paper. Please! Pick a different hotel and i really hope that clerk decides against a career in hospitality!

«Suites» have a kitchen or kitchenette, these don’t have them.
Whole hotel needs a makeover desperately. The a/​c unit in my room underneath the window knocked when it was on high. Smoke detector hanged on for dear life from one wire (I tried to reattach myself but without glue, it was just gonna hang). I don’t care for feather pillows since they give no support but that’s all they have. I used the 3 on my bed plus the 3 on the other bed to at least sleep comfortable.
I let housekeeping in one time during my week to refresh towels and take trash. I come back to my luggage moved, it wasn’t in the way (I placed on the extra bed in the room, I’m glad I had a lock on it) and no more essentials in the restroom-​shampoo or lotion. What the hell? And the breakfast… needs work. Serving the same frozen salt less eggs every morning is ridiculous and those tiny hard bagels… I gave up and ate at McDonalds.

This Contry Inn and Suites did not meet my expectations for this chain. We stopped there for one night on the way to Florida. Convenient location. The room wasn’t cleaned that well. I always go around door handles and such with an antiseptic wipe. The toilet handle had blood on it. Yuck! My pillow case had make-​up cream and hair. Noise bar next door and thin walls.

I’ve tried several Hotels north and south of Atlanta along I-​75 and found dislikes with them all. I remembered this location on my way by on a previous trip and thought I’d give it a try and I’m glad I did.
Very friendly night manager at check-​in and day manager on check-​out. Nice clean up to date interior/​exterior with a «Chilli’s» on one side and a «Frontpage Sports» on the other.
Remember to grab a free chocolate chip cookie at the front desk and a great little breakfast bar in the morning for free. Also free Wi-​Fi.
