Mornings are our favorite, brunch and lunch offer some great dishes and every seat has a great bay view. Service with a smile is top notch!

#HarborHut Hates #boyscouts. ZERO Stars! Sunday eve, 5:00pm. Feb. 21, parking lot NEAREMPTY, I had a trailer full of canoes. The boy scouts just finished a paddle/hike. I parked, trailer taking an extra space. We all ordered from LilHut. The manager from Harbor Hut, came out,(Phill, or Pete or something) yelled at us and told us we had to move the trailer immediately… he needed the spaces for customers. I guess we did not count as customers… but then again, he did;t bother to ask. So, we canceled our order, asked for our money back and went to Tacos de Mexico instead. AND we saved money. The staff at Lil Hut was totally embarrassed by the incident. This was not their fault, but their manager’s fault. I will NEVER go there again, nor will I ever take anyone there again, until the manager goes! Manager Pete, you’re a grumpy ‘ol dude who hates canoes and boycotts, and customers. Ill show you the parking lot on Facebook… empty…

Service was slow at first, but the food n the atmosphere are totally five stars! The food is off the hizzle shizzle! I loved it! I had teriyaki chicken with rice pilaf and it was so good I almost licked my plate! Then I had a mud pie for dessert and that was off the hook! Yum yum yum yum yum yum yummy!

Any time we are staying within an hour of The Harbor Hut we make a point of stopping in for lunch or dinner. Their fish and chips are some of the best I’ve ever had! Everything is made in house. The tarter sauce is absolutely perfect. My husband won’t eat seafood but he really likes their clam chowder — that’s saying a lot since clams can be fishy sometimes. There are plenty of options for the non seafood eater. Heather, the owner, is always willing to make sure the meal was satisfactory. If I could give The Harbor Hut more than 5 stars, I would. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!!!

If there was the option for zero stars I would absolutely have chosen that option. I went in with a friend and tried ordering food and drinks at their bar. NOTETOOWNER — I don’t know how you can possibly make money off of alcohol when it is clear that your bartender is drinking all of it. She clearly has no desire to help anyone except for the men that she wants to flirt with. My friend ordered a long island iced tea and got some fruity lemonade looking drink. I ordered extra limes and got lemons. I will say that the other staff was helpful and seem to be annoyed by her behavior, I am thinking this is not the first time for them to watch her like this. We only ordered food because we were already there. I’m sorry bartender that us ordering food annoys you but we were trying to give you our business. The food was good. I probably would have really been able to relax and write a much better review if she just didn’t ruin the entire experience. I feel like The Harbor Hut has all the makings of a really good restaurant, but you are as good as your weakest person working for you.

Driving through Moro Bay today as a side trip from our stay in Cambria. Craving seafood. Had a fantastic seafood crêpe there. The crêpe was stuffed with crab meat, shrimp and mushrooms topped with a Bernaise sauce. The price was great $ 12.95. It came with a side of pineapple cole slaw. Will come back next trip south.

Holy moly that was delicious! We dropped in for a very late lunch and cocktails today. Mom and I enjoyed a crab and shrimp croissant sandwich with hollandaise sauce and(SUPER picky) dad had a «Scalone» sandwich… they take a fresh abalone steak and combine it with fresh scallops into a small patty, then lightly bread and fry it before serving it on a nicely toasted bun. Everyone enjoyed the coleslaw and since I was being bad on the old diet, opted for the fries… mom had the rice… all were fantastic! And a great value too. Top it all off with a great dirty martini and I call this a total success… service was spot on… not sure why 2.5 stars, but they EARNED5 stars today. Delicious!

Outstanding harbor view, yummy fresh seafood, interior décor is old and funky but it feels like you are on vacation. I would definitely go back. Also a nice location to take a stroll along the harbor and watch beautiful sunset. I always think it feels good to support a local owner instead of big chain type restaurant.

Very good clam chowder and fish and chips. Maybe even the best chowder in town, no joke. Very good and underrated in my opinion. This and Giovanni’s are my go to when I’m in Morro Bay

Great view but bad food. Not usually that picky at all but it was pretty poor. Calamari and clam chowder was good! Tuna clipper, seafood crêpe, seafood croissant and lobster ravioli all left ALOT to be desired. Waitress didn’t want to be there and treated us poorly.

This restaurant is located right in the harbor in this picturesque California seashore town. From our table we looked out on fishing boats that brought in fresh seafood daily. We anticipated a delightful fresh-caught seafood dinner. The results were disappointing. The items we selected were apparently frozen, not fresh. The Boston-style clam chowder was so thick you could almost stand the spoon up in it — not a good sign. Eat at this place if you are seeking atmosphere and good service. But the food? Not so much.

The Harbor Hut is beyond it’s prime — it is living on its past. At the bar our appetizers(calamari and mushrooms) were burnt. The first order came out wrong(crab cakes instead of mushrooms), and the bar tender was not attentive. The place could do with a cleaning. Manager/owner need to give the bar some personal attention.

We love the hut! Never had the food, but the bar is nice and has a great view. We never miss a chance to come here when we are in Morro Bay. This last time we saw Otters! This place is one to check off the list if you are trying to hit all the Tiki bars on the west coast. Careful though, two tiki drinks = a lot of booze. Best to walk back to the hotel.

First time going here and it was great! It is on the pricey side though. I had there special which was fresh local caught salmon stuffed with crab and shrimp with a dill cream sauce. Great entrée all around. My boyfriend had the ahi tuna, which was good and his dad had the seafood fettuccine, which had huge chunks of all kinds of seafood. Everyone enjoyed there meal. Just be ready to spend money while you are there.

If I could give zero stars I would. The host that seated us was a total ass to us. After waiting 15 plus minutes with no one coming to greet us or take our drink order we walked out. Well on the way out we let the Host know why we were leaving and he started laughing at us, even rolling his eyes at us. Wow way to be an adult and that’s really horrible customer service.

We went here cause I was wanting a steak. So, we walk in and was very nice and we got to seat by th windowand watch the ocean. Yeah, probably wondering why I wanted steak in area where fresh seafoods is sold. Well, it just happen that i wanted one but I still had my share of seafoods. YUMMY! we order our food, the clam chowder had a unsual taste to it, not something i would eat again. My steak was not cooked the way I wanted, but the waste part was my friend fish and chip. The fish taste like came out of a freezeror it was old. We told the waitess and she stated that she serviced three of fish and chip dinner to other people and they love it. Iit could be the fact that you gotten tail of the fish, which sound really stupid. Basically, we were not happy with the meal. The waitress charge us for the salad, clam chowder that came with meal and drinks, which I don’t believe that we should had paid for something that wasn’t good. Oh well! I ask for the manager and guess what the waitress was the manager. She didn’t care, which is sad. If can give«zero», i would have.

Bad experience! Went into the bar area to watch a football game. Wife ordered a drink and I joined her a few minutes later. We were then told we «had to make it a quick one» because there was a private party coming in. We weren’t told this when we walked in. This is TABOO in the restaurant business and not acceptable! So long Harbor Hut! Don’t need ya! Don’t want ya! AVOID this place!

Chowder was good. And bread was great. Unfortunately that’s about all I can say. Waited 25 mins on a Friday night for group of 5 at 730. Not too bad for no reservation However, had to flag down service just to get water after 10 mins of sitting. Took another 10 mins before order was taken. The bread was good, a sweet almost jalapeño bread and good garlic butter spread was able to bide the time while waiting for the rest of the order. Carb cakes had one side burnt and meh-okay at best The chowder, like the other reviews, was very good. Only reason it got 2 stars. Not sure was worth the wait though, maybe if they had mentioned the drink or dinner specials??? Just sayin I ordered the seared ahi tuna salad. The vinaigrette dressing was more vinegar than anything else. Seared means light cooked mostly raw. This was a ¾″ wide slice of tuna that had less than a quarter of it raw. Ruined what would have been a good piece of fish The family ordered calamari and fixings. Nothing stellar to report there. I think Denny’s makes a comparable dish. Price was okay for the area and a bit much for sub par service and food. Too bad, view is great and some of the food has good potential. Too bad service and most of the food just lousy.
