Best coffee I have had in a long tome! And the staff is awesome! Really friendly and funny people!

I can only comment on the coffee/cappuccino. Popped in this place for a quick have boost. Young lady behind the counter was very friendly. I ordered a cap with a shot of espresso and my wife got an ice coffee. I love coffee, good coffee and my cap was outstanding. Solid 4+ stars.

Despite delicious coffee and tea, the service here is pitiful. We stopped in for a quick bite and caffeine fix and weren’t even acknowledged for about ten minutes. After ordering, the tea and coffee came quickly but the bagel and cream cheese took another 15 minutes. They stock local milk although all bottles in the fridge were expired.

Fantastic service. Super friendly staff, very on top of the game, and my coffee was done in time. There’s also a super cute«secluded garden» in the back… very nice addition! Also, their pastries look and taste fresh, delicious, and homemade(in a good way). Blueberry muffins are to die for!

It took far too long(15 minutes plus) for our food to be ready. The food was good, not great and definitely didn’t warrant such a delay. Also, my girlfriend’s coffee was hardly half full and also tasted awful.

This small shop has big personality! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by fast and friendly people. The coffee and food are the best. Fast and flavorful. If you want a great breakfast/coffee spot go to the Rock! They Rock! We’ll be back!

These guys make great coffee, the best that week. Try the lattes. Super friendly, laid back place. Morro Bay was dead tourist wise, and I worry about the local economy.

Super friendly little shop. Stopped in here by chance while on a road trip. Nice to find good service, great espresso, and reasonable prices.

This review is only for the coffee. Was in desperate need for coffee after doing lots of thrift and antique shopping and stopped in here on the way to lunch– and I’m so happy I did. I had a Mexican chocolate mocha and it was delicious, and it comes standard with 4 shots of espresso. Needless to say I got my caffeine fix.

I was really happy to find this little local spot. The barista was super welcoming and helpful right as we walked in. He told us about the nitro cold brew they have on tap called Caribbean Coffee and let us try some– it’s so refreshing and smooth. I loved it. And according to him, it’s the cheapest cold brew you can find in town! We had a small cold brew, Veggie face bagel, and the bagel sandwich, which is basically the Rock burrito but inside a toasted sesame bagel. Definitely the best breakfast food and cold brew I’ve had in a while. The prices were all reasonable. Overall, everything was excellent. Perfect brunch spot.

We love visiting this awesome place every time we are in town. Really great coffee & the best breakfast burrito ever! «The Joe» is absolutely fabulous(breakfast burrito but on their croissant; my hubby created it). Jason, the owner, is SO fantastic!!! We enjoy seeing him when we visit MB. He runs a very special place with the nicest people working there. We highly recommend you stop by here while in the area!!!

A quiet little coffee shop with a lot of good energy. The menu offers plenty of delicious treats and the prices match other coffee shops in the area. Allie and the other baristas are always smiling as they whip up your order. The rock features Internet and don’t miss the beautiful little garden area in the back.

Had a light breakfast here today. The Rock Coffee is a really nice place on a quiet side street from Main Street in Morro Bay. They have tables outside on the sidewalk to enjoy your food & coffee in the nice sea air and sunshine. The service was very friendly and fast, the venue is nice, so that’s 5 stars, but the milk in our cappuccino and lattes was way too hot and the espresso shots where good but nothing special, so the coffee is really 3 stars. So 4 stars in total for a nice place and good breakfast.

Such a cute little place! We stayed in Morro Bay for two nights on our way up north and loved having breakfast here both mornings. PROS: Great almond milk late, proper foam n’ all Amazing breakfast burrito — seriously just try it Really good veggie face sandwich — make sure you like cilantro and scallions Wonderful people watching CONS None.

My husband & I stopped here on our way through town just because it was close to the 1 highway. We were very pleasantly surprised by how delicious the coffee & breakfast was. I ordered an almond milk latte and a plain bagel with cream cheese. — Both were excellent. I know bagels seem easy, but honestly, most of the time when I order this somewhere, it’s too burnt or too much cream cheese, etc. This time, perfect! The almond milk latte was heavenly. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and just a regular cup of organic(yes, they have organic!) coffee. He said it was the BEST breakfast burrito he’s ever had. That is a huge compliment because he is very hard to please when it comes to b-fast burritos. I wish we lived closer so we could come here every day!

Here’s the deal: I love coffee. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert, but I have been to almost every coffee shop in San Luis Obispo County and Rock Espresso Bar is my favorite. Why? Because the food and drinks are made with consistency. What ever you order will come out the same every time. The coffees are hot, hot hot! The service is excellent, and the only time you have to wait is if it’s really busy. The shop is intimate, quaint and clean. There’s outdoor seating if you prefer. The staff is not only attentive, but friendly and accommodating. For these reasons, this coffee shop will have my return business again and again.

They have excellent iced coffee on tap. The atmosphere and décor is slim, but that’s partly the intention. It gives off a casual vibe that’s welcoming for conversation but doesn’t invite students to stick around for hours on end. Marks have to be deducted because of the bizarre conversation swirling around me. The barista(and presumed owner) called someone a bitch, talked about his love for Donald Trump, and seemed to cover every other potentially offensive topic in the span of the 20 minutes I was in there. I couldn’t believe what was happening. It was like I was at Pike Place buying bulk fish from someone who hasn’t seen land in nine months. Socially inept much? In summation: I prefer my coffee without a side of crazed opinions. Best of luck to everyone here.

Rock burrito is excellent– with thin avocado slices, lots of egg, very light on the cheese which I loved and light salsa. Perfect. Their mocha’s are also excellent. After breaking my french press at a campsite nearby– this place made all things better and it will be my go to spot every time I visit the area. :)) They also have some computers in here you can get on and a cute little garden area in the back to chill at. They have a variety of burritos and bagel sandwich’s off their small menu you can order as well as delicious looking scones. They have a good size tea selection as well. You can purchase those to go Oatmeal cups that you add water too and let seep for 3 minutes too. They also have smoothies on their menu if you are against caffeine. :))

The breakfast croissant sandwiches are excellent! They are a great complement to the very delicious cuppa, here. I was a little disappointed to not see as much local art on display, this time. I like seeing more local talent on display. Another slight disappointment was the lack of a chocolate powder shaker and a cinnamon shaker to add to your coffee. I know these tend to make to the condiment table a bit messier, but I do love a hint of chocolate in my brew. One new wrinkle is a refrigerator stocked with fresh milk in glass from a local family run farm. There are glass bottle of varying sizes with plain, chocolate, root beer, strawberry, and orangsicle-flavored milk. This is the first coffee shop that I know of that has offered quality, organic local milk. (I’d ~love~ to see more places do this!) Another interesting new wrinkle is the availability of cold crewed specialty coffees on draft. I was there while the weather was cold and rainy, so I was not too interested in any cold coffees. I did see a call sign that had a few special flavors mentioned.
