I love breakfast here. Sad to see the mimosas go. I have to say the grilled cheese options are very appealing! Most delicious, I love grilled cheese! Outdoor seating is nice, the restaurant is small, and especially when it is busy can be claustrophobic.

Breakfast has to be perfect if you just watched the sun rise and color the skies surrounding Morro Rock. And it was perfect! We got the Andouille & Prawn(it was a contest between that and the Salmon Rushdie) while he got the Da Bomb and a pancake. My dish was so delish. And the pancake was just moist and right. And. I made my mama cry with that Pecan pie. Bits of chocolate, whip cream, served warm… Heavenly.

Waited about 30 minutes to get a table on a beautiful February Sunday morning, well worth the wait! The service and the coffee were great, corned beef hash superb, and all with a view of fishing boats and the Morro Bay rock. We asked for eggs poached hard and they came out exactly as requested(surprising how many restaurants can’t seem to get this right). Highly recommended!

Went for a nice breakfast this morning! Very quiet and relaxed! Have friends visiting from Europe and they loved it! Their pancakes were HUGE!!! Coffee was good and warm and our waitress was nice enough to refill it! You could hear the chuckles in the kitchen which was cool because everyone seemed happy! I had the chiliquilies… WOW!!! So delicious, large portion, great flavor, and SOYCHORIZOANDTURKEYCHORIZOISAVAILABLE! I’ll for sure be back! :) maybe try the famous French toast!

Quaint small breakfast joint in Morro Bay. It has a nice view of the rock and the docks where the boats are. There is some outdoor seating and they are dog friendly. The reasons I didn’t give it the highest rating was that the service stank and the food was ok.

Maybe they have good breakfast but lunch is nothing to write home about. Sandwiches are overpriced for what you get and the service is subpar unfortunately.

I so wanted to give this place a 5 star review!!! But they fell short of it, the service is the major reason. The busboy who asked to get us drinks, had no clue if they serve fresh OJ! If you’re getting me drinks know about the drinks. The owner although nice never greeted the tables or involve in a friendly conversation, too bad! I believe small mom and pop restaurants should engage in conversation with the patrons instead of the co workers… The food longer than it should have, it wasn’t super busy in here when we arrived. The food is great, the décor cool, prices right on, overall definitely worth checking out! We got the recommended plates, * Andouille and Prawns, A must this is one delicious plate * The green tomato Benedict, taste is there but it’s missing some crunch to balance the plate * Da Bomb, a really tasty sandwich * Zucchini pancakes, make sure you’re a big fan of potato and zucchini, cuz’ there is plenty of it * We ordered 2 OJs, they charged for 3, didn’t want to argue, btw(busboy) it’s good tasting OJ Just keepin’ it real The Real Foodie

Love this place. Whenever I am in the area, it’s guaranteed that I will be dining at this place. Discovered it while visiting Cal Poly. Simple food made well at a decent price. What else can you ask for? Oh yea… don’t forget to check out the throwback Burt Reynolds pic in the bathroom, if you dare, lol.

Went here for breakfast with my visiting mom. Sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed a delicious meal. Would definitely Recommend this place.

Came on a Sunday morning at 11:15 after a morning hike. We had been camping in Montana de Oro state park and this is just a 20 min drive north of the campground. They serve breakfast til 1130 so we barely made it! Sasquatch: a very nice breakfast sandwich composed of sourdough that is grilled(think like the best grilled cheese ever) with a broken egg cooked all the way through(not runny) and a grilled mild chili pepper, onions. I substituted the tomato basil soy sausage — which was meh as soy products usually are. Soy was better than expected but still it would likely be wayyyy better with the real deal. The herbed cream cheese here really seals the deal with this sandwich. Also– the potatoes are in big cubes with a thin fried exterior and mild spice. The potatoes are BOMB. Highly recommend this dish. I used the Tapatio sauce that sits at each table liberally but didn’t need to — everything was tasty just on its own 5⁄5 French Toast: Cinnamon roll and bread pudding combined. Delectable, melt in your mouth and oh so buttery. Comes in a bowl. I ordered it as a side and shared with friends it’s a good sized portion. 5⁄5 The place has indoor seating and an outdoor patio that abuts the parking lot. Although it is right next to the bay it’s separated by water so don’t expect a luxurious view. It’s a bit divey(check out the hilarious Burt Reynolds poster in the bathroom) and very intimate but the food is really sublime. They bring a distinctive flair to the typical American brunch fare. If I’m ever in the neighborhood again I want to try to fried green tomatoes Benedict.

Just the way carnitas burritos are the benchmark by which I judge an unfamiliar Mexican restaurant, corned-beef hash is how I evaluate a breakfast-specialty restaurant. As that famous culinary gem, Emeril Lagasse, might exclaim… …BAM! F&L’s Front Street Café presented a plate of chopped, thin slices of corned beef griddle-cooked with onions, peppers and potatoes, and two eggs that I requested fried, over hard: Didn’t need salt, didn’t need pepper, didn’t need Cholula or any lesser bottled hot sauce. Others in the party ordered the café’s fluffy pancakes, sides of ham and bacon, and one ordered the unique French toast served in a bowl. Holier than thou, I don’t do carb bombs for breakfast, but if I did, their choices would have given me a hyper start to the day. As it was, coffee refilled numerous times did the trick before the drive back from strikingly scenic Morro Bay to Dodge City, as L.A.‘s police chief and I call home.

Amazingly quaint waterfront café with amazing drip coffee, portion sizes, a view to die for… Take a board walk, walk afterwards you’ll need it.

Big big big big breakfast portions! Chilaquiles plate was great but watch out for the chorizo as it can be a bit salty. Delicious fried potatoes, avocados, sour cream, crispy chips and moist soft scrambled eggs. Great environment as inside is small and intimate with busy busy buzz. Attentive waitstaff so your coffee cup is never cold or empty. Get over there and then head over to Coleman Park on the boardwalk to walk off your meal and enjoy the sea otters playing in the bay.

What a great place to start the day! We got there around 7:30 am for breakfast, and by the time we left at 8:20 or so, it was full. Even with it not busy, service was very slow so it might not be the place to stop if you’re looking for«quick.» And there’s only about 12 tables, so if it’s a busy weekend in Morro you might be waiting a while. It has a nice view of the rock and wildlife in the bay though, so there are worse things. Food-wise, it was awesome. We had one of the burritos for my BF, the chillaquilles for me(they even have soy chorizo for us vegetarians!) and we split the french toast. Everything was delicious … the french toast is very VERY sweet, so I couldn’t imagine getting that as your main dish, but it made a great«dessert» to split. It’s a little expensive(abt $ 10 – 11 for most items), but we were happy enough to overlook that.

I asked a local where to eat breakfast, and this was the place. Well deserved recommendation! Their menu alone is unique and has a variety of options for breakfast. I tried the Chilaquilles. Woah. Such a unique dish! Home made chorizo, tortillas, topped with egg, cheese and and entire half of an avacado! So delicious! I didn’t get to try the sexy coffee, but that would be on my list of things to try if I came back!

We breakfasted at Frankie and Lola’s twice during our 36 hours in Morro Bay. Once outdoors, late in the morning and once indoors at door opening time. We didn’t use our complimentary cinnamon roll chit from the Bayfront Inn. We split breakfasts. The first day we split the basic egg/meat/bread breakfast, adding two seasonal pumpkin pancakes. It was excellent, as was the friendly service. The second day we also had excellent service, splitting the homemade corned beef hash. It was true hash, not some off the truck red and pink meat and potatoes. Restaurant-made corned beef mixed with home fry chunks, bell pepper and onions. Service excellent again. The indoor ambiance, neo mythical old stuff was relaxing and entertaining. Coffee was. our style, the middle-road Arabica that climate change will remove from many tables a decade or two after I complete my terran stay. We’d return. We’d eat twice more. The true restaurant test.

Breakfast is my thing, I love few types of foods more than I like anything associated with breakfast and this place hit the nail on the head. Making my way up the coast I decided to stay in Morro Bay on my way to Big Sur. my hotel was«meh» but this breakfast makes up for it all. The staff was super nice the view was great and I’ll be thinking about this meal for weeks to come. I ended up choosing the ABC egg scrambled with avocado bacon and rather than cream cheese for cheddar cheese. It’s fantastic. The potatoes on the side are spot on. They are perfectly salted and not greasy at all. I also got the fruit and yogurt which is enormous but I’m taking it to go as a snack for the road, if I can just stop eating it. The granola that comes with this is homemade and amazing. Don’t even think about going somewhere else if you’re here and if you’re not here you should come here just for this.

Great food and service! My family and me tried the: corned beef hash, their homemade chorizo, diggler burrito, from scratch pancakes, fruit and yogurt with homemade granola and the Da bomb sandwich. Everything was tasty and with bold flavor. For drink you need to try the sexy coffee, it’s their own twist of a coffee mocha. The ONLY reason I’m not giving them a 5 stars is because I like my coffee espresso instead of regular mug coffee. If your are close to this area you MUST stop here.

Great location. Great food. Excellent service. Stopped by early in the morning on our way out of Morro Bay. All inside tables were taken so we were the only ones that opted for outside. Ordered the breakfast burrito, while a bit small, was really good. The GF’s mushroom spinach scramble on phyllo dough was allegedly good as well. Service was what really set this place apart. We were one of the few tables outside yet our waitress came out numerous times to top off coffee, etc. Definitely recommend this spot for breakfast.
