Texas Steakhouse & Saloon

Was just there this past Friday and have been going there for a very long time. We have never had any problems, and the place recently under went some changes. They’ve cleaned up the décor a lot. The food is great. I usually get the surf and turf. Their grilled shrimp is fantastic! I love the seasonings they put on their steak — not so heavy that it blocks the natural taste of the meat, but just enough to set it apart from my own cooking. The salad is always super fresh, and their veggie sides are always very fresh and tasty. I don’t have a single complaint about this place. On Friday we were served by Erica and she was a wonderful waitress (we’ve never had a bad one at this place). Great sense of humor and not at all overbearing with the customers. I highly recommend this place.

Came tonight to celebrate a birthday and had great food and wonderful service from Kedijha (sorry if I am spelling wrong). She was delightful and great server. She was so accommodating to my two little girls. I had the steakhouse salad and others had ribs, and a ribeye.

Food was good and wait staff was friendly. We sat on the patio, kinda weird real close to an exit people walking by all the time and close to the parking lot with no railing. Sit inside and you will be happy. Would come back again.

Awesome waitress Yolanda! Great service as always! Live in Atlanta and come to Raleigh for business. Always drop by this steak house for dinner at least once.

I’ve been here on several occasions and the food was always good. I’ll be back. The server’s and Management are great!

By far the worst service I’ve ever had around the country. Unbelievable from drinks wrong 2 times in a row, to over 70 min wait for food let alone 50% of our order was wrong. Terrible simply terrible!

First time here and will not be back. I work as a server and I try to be very patient with the staff because I understand but it was a slow night and the food was wrong/​missing items. Our server Ebony was taking care of us and she had a bad attitude and she hated us asking for anything it seemed. Waters were empty for such a long time, had to wait a long time to get someone else to help us. Food has long waiting times and server wasn’t thankful for anything she dissapeared.

Service and location isn’t the greatest but I had one of the best Filets ever. I always think of the Matrix and the filet Cypher was eating at dinner with Mr. Smith when I get a really good Filet.

Worst experience ever. Walked in to a mostly empty restaurant… Hostess asked us to wait… Which we did … While staring at all the empty tables for longer than necessary as the hostess walked around as slowly as possible. We were finally seated and then waited another 10 minutes– no server even came by our table. Frustrated we just left– if the restaurant was busy it would be one thing, but there was barely anyone there. Now I know why. As someone who was a waitress for several years I am embarrassed for this place. No service at all and the waiters all looked miserable. Will never go back.

The food wasn’t bad here but the service was a joke. Our waiter was all over the place and he took forever to get anything for us. We asked for ketchup and we got in an hour later. When I asked for my discount he took my check and gave me the same check back. Then he didn’t even run my sister in laws card and apologized for the hundredth time for messing up. Just annoying.

I rate places on food and service, but more so on service. Stephen the manager and JayCee the bartended make my visits amazing! They make sure you are very well taken care of, the food is delicious and even better tasting when the service is good.

This was the only place around open during the sleet storm. The chix fingers were good just a little tough the bacon French fries were ok nothing like outback though. Wife had combo platter with ribs, shrimp (frozen little bites) chix fingers and bacon f/​f she said it was good. M/​law had grilled chix with bacon mushroom and cheese and it looked good. We got two cookie skillet deserts to go the cookies we loaded with salt and the ice cream was good.

The food was ok, I wasn’t overly impressed. I definitely have had better food at other steakhouses like outback or longhorn.

This joint benefited greatly from it’s close proximity to my hotel. Other than this positive aspect, Texas Steakhouse is just another Outback, Longhorn, Logan’s etc. wannabe with not a single defining characteristic to make it particularly notable. It has the same annoyingly poppy contemporary country music, the same forced «howdy parter» from the hostess stand and the same garage sale décor that no actual self-​respecting Texan would display in a million years unless they had a gun to their head. Yup, it’s all here, in all of it’s splendor.
This place is strictly mediocre in just about every area one would use to gauge a steakhouse. So much so that I am going to keep this one brief. My KC Strip was just OK and kind of fatty. Service was just going through the motions. The place was passable, but certainly not clean by any stretch, and one of the waitresses had her thong pulled up half way up her back like ass dental floss.
You do, however, get a free Onion petal appetizer with a Unilocal check in.
Restaurants that primarily make their money off of hotel traffic are rarely exceptional, and this place is no exception.

Almost didn’t come in based on the reviews — glad we didn’t listen. Staff was friendly. Food was good… Not fancy, but quick and tasty for a late Friday night…

I walked in, sat at the bar, and was overwhelmed by a putrid smell. I quickly got out of there.

This place was great! The service was great our waitress Pharrah and the food was excellent! Fresh vegetables and the baby back ribs were oh so Good!!! This place is way better than just 3stars!!!

Review is for my experience as part of a large party that I did not organize instead of the usual date night.
Service: Nice, quick, helpful. All of us at the table got the correct check, paid, and got the right card and receipt back.
Food: It was alright. Salad looked small, but ended up alright. The salmon was a bit overcooked and had charred bits that I had to cut off.
Atmosphere: Brightest Texas themed place I’ve been. Use to «Texas» being darker walls with more flair. It was refreshing, I liked the minimalist «Texas» stuff on the walls. It was really loud in the event room.

Man, this is a hard place to review. The punch line is I really enjoyed my food.
Started off on the wrong foot. After a crazy long day flying across the country I called ahead and was told there was only a 5 minute wait and that we wouldn’t need a reservation. We walked in less than 10 minutes later and was told there was a 20 – 30 minute wait. Very frustrating.
Finally sat down and the table was really gross (sticky) and I wiped it with my napkin and was able to see the grime come off. Not really what I want to eat on. A little elbow grease should handle most of this but it’s obviously not a priority.
Our waitress was obviously too busy and a bit frazzled as we would get water and then wait 5 minutes for straws or she would refills dad’s tea with water. We ordered and My mother is allergic to garlic (she will throw up for days) and was told the steak had none on it so she got it on a salad. We finished ordering and then came the wait. We waited and waited, for everything. Finally I said something about how long we were waiting for the food and they brought out the meal for my boys in a couple minutes. Our food came out shortly after. After one bite my mother knew there was garlic on her meal and after some back and forth (and much more waiting) the manager confirmed. A new meal was eventually brought out (way after we were all done eating by the time this process finally completed).
The Good: Our waitress was very kind and apologetic while trying to keep up. I really liked my food and they comped my mom’s meal.
Not recommended.

Had a delicious meal from start to finish and great service too!
We started with onion petals that were fried perfectly and not greasy with a delicious dipping sauce. Then on to a crisp salad with a tasty blue cheese dressing.
The sirloin streak was perfectly cooked as was the baked potato.
Our server was friendly and attentive. It’s been a few years since I’ve been here and happy to say we’ll probably return soon!
